MALMAISON MANCHESTER HOTEL - Manchester

I like staying in Malmasion when I go on buisness trip in Manchester. The service is decent, the food is good, specially the breakfast. Do hope that they will have Sky TV soon. And this time the heating were not working at all, I phoned maintanence twice and it still wasnt fixed or reset properly.

Great hotel, brasserie recently done up (well). Beware meat cabinet if you have veggies with you! Rooms and overall facilities very good. Staff a little slow to serve, particularly the bar, but if you're chilled out it's no biggie.

This hotel is very well located close to Manchester Piccadilly train station and a 10 minute walk to the central shopping area. An established hotel which is smart and comfortable, although some of the decor is looking a bit tired and dated. There is a brand new restaurant and bar area, which is bright and contemporary and has a very relaxed and pleasant, […] but upmarket feel. A liitle pricey and quality of food was good but portions were small and menu needs more work. Overall, worth trying but I would not pay the standard room rate. Devamı

I'd stayed at the Malmaison before in 2007, just before Christmas, when it was teeming with Take That fans, the staff looked exhausted and the place didnt seem all that clean, to be honest This time was a different story - the staff was lovely, and eveything seemed clean and orderly. it's a great location for the station, the city centre and City Stadium, […] although it was a nightmare to get to with the sat nav in rush hour traffic. The only negative is that when we arrived, there were items missing from our room, such as the room service menu, the notes about complimentary fresh milk etc - which we would have used, had we known about them. Then, when we left, my friend left a document wallet lying on the desk by mistake - called that evening and the next day and staff were unhelpful, saying the room had been checked twice and it hadn't been found. Clearly the housekeeping team who didn't make sure all the appropriate things were in our room when we arrived, didnt do it for the next person either, or there is no way they could have missed it! Stayed for a midweek break in April and will hopefully be back one day! Furnishings lovely, all black and red interior really adds to the funkiness of the place. Only small bad point was each morning at half eight and again at half nine (not sure if it would have continued on after that), someone would ring my room phone, let it ring just once and then […] hang up immediately. I thought it may have been housekeeping hoping that I may get up and out so that they could clean the room but regardless, it is not what I am paying money for. If I wanted a wake-up call I'd request one and I'd expect them to wait until I answer. As a guest on holiday I want to sleep uninterrupted. Otherwise, excellent spot. Devamı

We arrived earlier than expected but our room was ready and waiting. The lobby is gorgeous and the interior design throughout is very modern and hip. The room was a bit small but had everything necessary. The shower was literally one of the best I've taken in my life. The restaurant was excellent. Enjoyed both a lovely dinner and a continental breakfast […] the next morning. The location is perfect, walking distance from the train station and the tram system. The next day after we checked out, they even watched over our bags as we sight-saw. Definitely would stay here again and recommend. Devamı
