Very good hotel! In spite of age of the building the hotel's overall condition is very good. Room is very nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is nice. The personal is good trained and welcomed. Great warm swimming pool and sauna (a little bit small). Would be good to have an additional sauna and steam bath. Definitely would come back and recommend […] to friends. Devamı

The Axelmannstein is a nice old hotel. Our room was large and nice, but simple. The balcony opened onto a nice view and was airy and bright. The breakfast buffet and restaurant were very good and we ate at both a lot. The room was nice but you can tell the heating and plumbing are old. The heat came on and off sporadically and the one in the bathroom […] didn't work at all. The bathtub drain always caused water to back up through the bathroom floor drain getting the floor wet. There was plenty of hot water but you could hear the pipes vibrating when the next room used their shower. the neighborhood is wonderful with lots of shops and a good atmosphere. We stayed 2 nights in mid April 2011. Beautiful scenery and great location. Located right on a shopping district. Breakfast was great, ranging from traditional european light breakfast to eggs to order and bacon. Friendly wait staff and front desk personnel. Parking lot is a little hard to find and parking in front of the hotel is not an option because […] of the shopping district. Room was spacious and clean. Pool and sauna area were well kept and clean. Beautiful view in the dining area. This is a great hotel for a weekend get away with a relaxing atmosphere! Devamı

We would stay at this hotel again in a minute. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are large by any standard. This is a fabulous old-fashioned European tourist hotel recently acquired and updated by Radisson. The complimentary breakfast is served in the restaurant, which looks out through floor-to-ceiling windows over a private park. […] The restaurant is very expensive in the evening, but there is also a Bavarian pub with occasional live music. I stayed in over 10 hotels during my 3 week vacation in Germany, and I would certainly say that the Steigenberger was one of the top three hotels I stayed at. The town of Bad Reichenhall is a well known vacation spot for Germans -mostly well-to-do retirees and other not so old wealthy individuals- so the environment of the town is very nice. I’m in […] my early 20s, and I saw people my age and some couples in the 30s as well, so unless you are a party animal you won’t have any issues staying at the hotel. The location is superb as you are about 10 minutes away from the Austrian border (20 minutes to Salzburg), and 20 minutes away from Berchtesgaden. The hotel itself is in the center of the town, and there are many restaurants within walking distance. The hotel staff is nice and very helpful. There is parking available for guests, and if my memory serves me right is about 6 euros per night. I liked the hotel so much, that I will certainly stay there during my summer vacation next year. I recommend the hotel for those in a romantic, business, cultural, or sabbatical trips. A great value for the price!!! Devamı

Der Aufenthalt war von Anfang an sehr schön und die Ruhe(mein großes schön eingerichtetes Zimmer, lag in der obersten letzten Etage)ausgesprochen erholsam.Das Personal ist Freundlich und hilft wo es nur helfen kann!Das Essen(Früstück)war ausgesprochen gut und sehr reichlich.Das Personal im Frühstücksraum(besonders das etwas ältere Personal)war ausgesprochen […] freundlich nett und aufmerksam.Ich werde dieses Hotel sicher wieder besuchen.Danke!!PS.Leider ist der grosse Park der zum Hotel gehört, sehr stark verwarlost und bräuchte dringend eine Grundinstandsetzung. Habe bereits eine direkt im Hotel abgegeben. - schönes Frühstückangebot - sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter - schade der Park vernachlässigt wird! - das Bad wurde neu gemacht (sehr schön) leider sind die Lavabos zu tief montiert... - die Flecken auf den verschiedenen Polsterüberzügen sprechen nicht an. - die Teppichränder (sehen aus wie Randleisten) sehen […] stark verunreinigt aus.... - Kein Minibarkühler? - meine Reservation wurde nicht mit dem korrekten Nachnamen gebucht... Altehrwürdiges Hotel mit großer Vergangenheit. Es besteht ein gewisser Investitionsbedarf, was am Ambiente aber kaum Abstriche erfordert. Freundliches Personal. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die fachkundige Betreuung bei der Wassergymnastik im recht großen Schwimmbecken. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis bei Buchung über eine Internetplattform ist sehr gut.

Das Hotel ist voll renoviert hat es aber geschafft sein altes sehr geschmackvolles Flair zu behalten. Es hat einen fast collonialen Anstrich. Erinnert mich etwas an das Imperial Hotel in New Dehli. Es liegt perfekt und äusserst ruhig mit einem grossen Parkartigen Garten. Mein Aufenthalt dort war wirklich sehr angenehm§

wie hat dieses hotel die 4*Superior klassifizierung erreicht?

Großzügige Räume, die die ehemalige Erstklassigkeit erahnen lassen. Parkplatz umständlich, vor Allem mit Gepäck. Schwimmbad gut, Fitnessraum eher nicht so gut. Sehr gutes Frühstück in nostalgisch anmutendem Charme.

Meine Reservierung welche ich über hotels.com machte, 4 Superior-Rooms, wurde im Hotel nicht vorgenommen! Ich bekam diese Zimmer nicht und musste mich mit billigen Standardzimmern zufrieden geben! Ein Bett mit 140cm Breite für 2 Personen ist meiner Meinung nach nicht Standard!!!

Ein exquisites Hotel, dass jederzeit weiter zu empfehlen ist. Mehr ist einfach nicht zu sagen.

This is a senior City/Hotel - i have never been to a place with so many doctors and health facilities, but with that in mind, the place is beautifull and very clean. It's german ordnung! The Hotel has been the big leading Hotel of the area, that's very clear, but the Hotel need some fixing to keep up with modern standard, and atmosphere. The staff is […] very kind and serviceminded, and the rooms are clean, an all over good experience. the south of Germany is a place you drive by, but i can recommend everybody to stop for a feew days, it's worth it.
