We were here for state board and that was the only thing good about this hotel. Our door wouldn't shut, the video player didn't work or the VHS that were complimentary. The sauna was dirty and the breakfast room only seated 4 people. I had heard they are putting a Nordstoms in its place and maybe that is why the up keep wasn't great. I picked this hotel relying on the high guest score, however, the rooms were small, the queen bed was hardly a double, the Wi-Fi was not working and the breakfast was hardly a breakfast with a tiny room and one table to accomodate all the hotel guests. We stayed 3 nights. In the midle of the stay the room keys stopped functioning. The room was never […] cleaned, one time the bed was done, but the durty towels were left on the floor through the entire stay. I have been in much better hotels for the same price. Worked for two day visit to Glendale and LA area! Needs to replace worn out outlets, hard to keep power plugs stay put! Wireless connection speed is marginal, not very effective for important work. Overall, reasonable for the price. Location is great!

I got this hotel for my stateboard Exam and let me tell you its the best place to stay in everything is close by mini mall and a lil down town with full of stores its very pretty and the neighborhood is quiet and safe.If your taking your Stateboard come here its a block away from the building! Location,Location,Location! Not bad for the price. This is my 2nd time to stay in this hotel. But they need to replace their pillows. They are getting smaller. They also need to add vents in their bathrooms.

We are sorry to se this charming place to have lost its battle with the larger developers. Great location, the beds are very comfortable, the place is clean and the help friendly.

The hotel is very convenient to the American and the mall. The room was adequate, clean, but needs new towels, tissues, etc. They are like sandpaper. I understand that this hotel will be torn down sometime in the future and replaced by a Nordstroms, part of the Americana. They should just remodel the hotel as it is the only decent one in that area.

They lost their war with billionaire developers and the hotel is being torn down in January '12. So they have been a little less than enthusiastic with fixing things. The TV in my room didn't work, the faucet in the shower was about to fall off, etc... Little things like that. Great location - almost within the beautiful Galleria. The hotel parking was adequate - always had space. Never used the pool/jacuzzi, but looked clean. The big negative was that the hotel is built flimsy - the walls are thin and the floor shakes when someone walks very fast or heavily on the outside walkway. We could hear our neighbors partying/talking […] till early in the morning and when there was someone above us, we could hear them walking around. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you! Had a great refrig with a freezer, also microwave and coffee maker were all great. Very clean & kept clean. This is a nice, basic, no-frills place to stay. Although the technology is a little 20th century (video library instead of movie channels or video on demand), the staff is pleasant, and available even in the wee hours. The staff is also quick to act when a problem is reported. We had a lightbulb blow (and pop out of the socket)in the standing lamp in […] our room and within an hour the broken bulb was cleaned out of the lamp and everything was working again. elevator was out of order,had to get a room on the first floor.person above us was loud,breakfast was very limitedneeded to be a little cheaper.

I stay here all the time when I'm in town on biz. People are friendly and the bed is great. Just next door is the Americana nice to walk around and amazing at Xmas time with the decorations. Very close to everything. I would recommend it for sure.

Older hotel but close to everything. Hollywood, Griffith observatory, shopping. Rooms were small but very clean, comfortable beds. Only thing that could be better would be a better breakfast offering.

Great little place. Only about 10 minutes from Hollywood walk of fame. Very clean and comfortable. The late night desk clerk Paul was extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely will stay there again

The room was fine except for one big thing ... it made a lot of noise at night. Don't know what it was, but there was a loud rattling noise in the room. I shut off the A/C, thinking it could be the vents, but that wasn't it.

Loved the location of this hotel. My son lives in Los Angeles and we will probably stay here again. You walked out the door to the Americana Galleria. It is a beautiful outdoor shopping area. We arrived at 12:30am. Just wanted key and hit the sheets. key cards would not open door. Went back 2 offc, got master key cards, would not open door. Went back to office, guy had to follow to open door with emergency key. FINALLY got into room, one bed had no pillows. He kindly went to look for more, got pillows, could not find pillow cases. Had to […] wrap extra pillows in huge sheets. FINALLY got to bed 1:30am, not good for two kids. Next morning, saw the room is just OK, on the older side. The tub had the worst caulking job I've ever seen, kinda gross. Tried to get new key cards before we left, still would not work. They had maintenance fix while we were gone during the day. Argh. I have to say the staff tried hard to help. Would have like another room, we got the last one with 2 beds apparently. They do have a continental breakfast in a TINY room next the the pool that only one family at a time can be in. I have to say the room was actually clean. The beds have all white sheets, even as a duvet (so no scummy dirty old comforters). The beds were actaully very comfy. Located 1/2 from the Americana huge shopping center, if you like that. Area is more commercial. We went to Universal was a short 15 minutes away. Think I would stick with a name brand hotel next time for the price. At least you know what to expect. Was surprised that they did not offer a partial refund for the inconvenience of not being able to bet into our room, and having to take FOUR trips to the front desk trying to get fixed. Devamı

This hotel is loud, very poorly maintained, some of the staff are unkind and too busy to pay attention to the guests. Room are squeaky and noisy. I would go back, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good: Located next to nice shopping district, decent neighborhood. Felt comfortable on foot in the area. Less Good: Thermostat did not work and was stuck on 80 degrees. Had to leave the window open which only worked for me because I was on floor 3. Could not get either wireless or wired internet to work. The meal was meager consisting of choice of bagel, danish, cereal, milk, orange juice, coffee and hot cocoa. the first night of our stay is just a nightmare. We were assigned to the second floor on the street side. The street nosie is bothering me all night long. The building is so old that we can literally hear people walking upstairs. I am not even mentioning the old tv, small bathroom, ancient hairdryer. Motel location is very convenient but the motel needs to fix repairs as the heater doesn't work but they did give us a portable heater to use. There was only one outlet that was working however.

This is a "C" hotel for the most part attached to an "A" restaurant and entertainment development. You're slimming a bit but the location is worth it.

Its clean and has breakfast. The beds are not the best but work for one night. Its close to where I needed to be. The TV in the last few times were really fuzzy. Rm 203 was one of them. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was about to fall off. I would say those are really the only thing I didnt like.

Great Place to stay if you are taking your Stateboard Test. The Hotel Staff is Very Friendly! They provide a Continental Breakfast so before my test i was able to have something to eat. They also let my model checkout after i was done with my Practical testing which gave her time to freshin up in the room. Upon arrival the front desk staff was very friendly and accomodating. The room was comfortable and the pool and hot tub were nice and relaxing. there are many good places to eat and shop within walking distance. There is a great shopping area and plaza just a half a block away. Would recomend staying here to my friends and I already have. The ideal […] spot to stay if you are taking your State Board Exam for Cosmetology. They are very helpful, continental breakfast starting at 5:30am, so you can get a bite to eat before the test. Also gave me a care package for the exam at the front desk, as well as a late check-out(1:00pm, so my model could come back and shower and change). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED HOTEL!!! Thank you Golden Key!!! For a two star motel, it was over out expectations. It was in a great area and was a great deal for the price. Would recommend for people who don't mind motels. It is very clean and convenient.

Cons - The room per night cost is a little pricey for aminities offered, but probably reflects it's proximity to high end retail outlets around the corner from the hotel. Rooms on the end facing east are bombarded with noises around 6 am from the adjoining hotel staff as the prepare for their day and guest. and last for about and hour. This hotel is right next to two malls; one outdoor (it has a trolley, great restaraunts, play area, and musical water show) and one indoor (large Target, Red Robin, and great shops).
