A simple, clean hotel. managed by the five star hotel across the road, so for a smaller price you can access the five star facilities as well. Montruex is quite small, so the hotel is walking distance to everything. 15 minutes to the Freddie Mercury statue and the train station, about 45-50 minute walk by the lake to the Chateu di Chillion (all in the […] same direction). And the markets are also close-by, if you dont want a five star lunch (with a five star price), you can just go to McDonald's next to the Freddie Mercury Statue. The only problem was that our room was right next to the road and it was very noisy outside with the traffic, even at night and closing the window wasn't very helpful. Great stay at this hotel. The staff were highly efficient and friendly. (check in is in the Hotel Royal just accross the road but it really isn't an issue) The overnight concierge was particularly helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and well priced. I sat outside the bar and had a lovely glass of swiss wine overlooking the lake. Montreux is an expensive place to stay, but if you are there for the Jazz Festival, this hotel is a good pick as it is very close to the venues and not too pricey. The hotel is now managed by the Royal Plaza across the street, so there is no reception or concierge in the Villa Toscana itself, nor is breakfast served. (You can have breakfast across the […] street at the Royal Plaza, but it is not included in the room rate, and expensive.) if you're going in summer, try to get a room on an upper floor as the only ventilation is by opening the windows, and the downstairs rooms have windows that can be entered from the street. A nice, older (read character) hotel. Park, check-in, and eat across the street. I don't understand how this is difficult for some people. I had read the same in a review, but forgot by the time I got there. My wife walked in, read the note that said to go across the street, and off we went. Very friendly, helpful staff. Great service. somewhat dated hotel, although some attempts made to "freshen it up" somewhat - now managed by 5* star hotel across the street, but treated as the ugly duckling - excellent location for Montreux Jazz festival - if you want a clean room, the convenience and a reasonable price (fluctuating!) and don't expect much luxury, this is it!

Charming hotel - rooms are older, but were beautiful, spacious and and clean suites with patio; Check in was across street. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. THIS HOTEL IS ACROSS THE STREET FROM IT'S PARENT HOTEL WHICH MEANS THERE ARE NO SERVICES IN THIS HOTEL. NO INTERNET, NO BREAKFAST, NO WATER VIEW EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE ON THE LAKE. THE AIR CONDITIONER MADE HORRIBLE NOISES SO WE FINALLY SHUT IT OFF AND OPEN THE WINDOWS EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD NO SCREENS. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Everyone was very nice, the room was perfect for us, 3 in the party. It was very nice they upgraded us to a Junior suite, but I still would have given this hotel accolades. Stores to obtain needed items were 10 min. walking distance as well! Beautiful old French decor.

Did not stay in this hotel as no facilities whatsoever and room not suitable for me and my son, with only double bed.

As previous feedback have noted the hotel is a less expensive arm of a larger hotel. However you are made to feel that way both in terms of check in and check out. But you do have the facilities of the larger hotel just need to cross the road to take advantage of them. The quality of the room you end up with will determined one's opinion of the hotel. […] Several of the rooms have restricted windows under stairs or facing the tyres of cars in the parking area behind the hotel. These rooms are dark, not inviting and we end up within one of these rooms, hence this has affected our opinion. Other rooms appear bright, larger and would therefore be more appealing. Having said that the beds were comfortable, whilst the bathroom was small the shower pressure was good. The hotel provided amenities based on its more expensive sister hotel including good towels. So putting aside the small dark room the comfortable level was good and for sleeping convenience no complaints. Hotel can be reasily reached on foot fron the train station, there are buses just outside the enterance in both directions. Further if staying for several days the hotel gives you a Montreaux visitors card which is good for the buses. So location wise it was very convient and can be recommended in this respect. Whilst situated on a main road, there was little road noise with the windows closed. However if the weather is hot then you need a fan in the room as ventalation is limited, to our surprise the hotel had a fan already in the room and turned on. overal we had an acceptable stay but not a hotel we would recommend compared to other hotels stayed at in Switzerland. We stayed in the Villa Toscane part of the hotel (never saw anything that said Swiss Q on it). It's an old hotel, which is part of a string of newer hotels. The newer hotels give you access to many conveniences- pool, health club, restaurants- but the hotel itself is old. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the train station- worth a cab or a bus if you have luggage. The newer hotel across the street has a lovely lakeside restaurant, which is definitely worth it. Hotellet er forfallen, men det er synlig at det har opplevd bedre liv, for ca 100 årsiden....Anbefales for de som har la bel epoke nostalgi og samtidig setter sentral beliggenhet som største fordel.

Hotel ist zentral gelegen. Zimmer sind grosszügig und sauber. Infrastruktur wird vom Hotel gegenüber zur Verfügung gestellt inklusive Tiefgarage. Es gibt nichts Negatives über dieses Hotel zu berichten.

In internet wird Wellness und Hotelbar und Restaurant vorgegaukelt, aber der Wellnessbereich, die Bar und das Restaurant befinden sich im Hotel auf der anderen Seite der Hauptstrasse. Für Villa Toscane ist niemand zuständig. Die Reception ist auch auf der anderen Strassenseite und unpersönlich.Die Zimmer sind veraltet und klein. Das Frühstück ist nicht […] inbegriffen, es kostet 29 Franken! Die Lage, direkt an einer oft befahrenen Strasse bringt viel Lärm mit sich. Devamı

Acomodações são boas e espaçosas. A questão de todo o atendimento estar no hotel Royal Plaza, do outro lado da rua, não atrapalha. Quanto a localização, a grande vantagem é a proximidade com a estação de trem (10 min a pé). Há outros hotéis mais próximos do centro, mas este oferece um cartão que permite andar grátis no ônibus que leva ao centro e ao […] castelo de Chillon. Nous avons très apprécié votre hôtel d'autant plus que l'on nous a attribué 2 chambres supérieures à ce que l'on avait réservé. Jag och min syster övernattade en natt. Vi fick ett rum med dubbelsäng, men det fanns inget extra täcke/filt. Badrummet var litet. Rummet hade högt till tak vilket gjorde att det kändes luftigt och rymligt. Har sett finare hotell i Sverige med fyra stjärnor så skulle nog ge Villa Toscane tre. Teniamos dos habitaciones y una de ellas no tenia aire acondicionado y la ventana daba a la altura de la calle. La otra habitación correcta. El baño demasiado pequeño.

Das Hotel wird mit 4 Sternen angeboten, ich würde ihm nur 3 geben. Es ist niemand im Hotel anwesend, mann muss über die Strasse ins Royal Placa auch fürs Frühstück. Die Zimmer sind ok, das Bad könnte mal ein Facelifting gebrauchen, Silikonfugen schwarz. - Parking CHF 40.- pro Nacht !!! - Personal eher träge, wenig zuvorkommend - Zimmer sehr klein, - Interieur alt, - Klimaanlage improvisiert, - lärmig, da Nahe an einer vielbefahrenen Strasse

Der Preis entspricht dem Niveau des 'Haupthotels', die Ausstattung aber weniger. Unser Zimmer lag im Erdgeschoss, drei Meter entfernt zur Hauptstrasse - also ziemlich lärmig. Als Ersatz für die Klimaanlage (Standard im 'Haupthotel') gab's einen billigen Ventilator. Der Aussenparkplatz wurde uns für eine Nacht mit CHF 50.-- berechnet - für das Frühstück […] verlangten sie knapp CHF 30.-- / Person. leider war das ein fehlgriff! so schön das hotel als gebäude von aussen ist, so schlecht war das zimmer und die lage in richtung einer techno disco. das hotel liegt ohnehin direkt an einer stark befahrenen strasse und erholen kann man sich hier nicht. ich hatte eines der dunklen, unrenovierten einzelzimmer, in dem man sich kaum drehen kann, lesen konnte […] man nicht, da es nur 2 funzelige tiffanylampen gibt. die duschzelle war verschimmelt, der concierge war telefonisch nachts nicht zu erreichen. das hotel hat keine eigene rezeption. man muss über die strasse gehen und sich einchecken. für gepäck gibt es keine hilfe. hierher komme ich sicher nicht wieder und ich werde es auch nicht weiter empfehlen. Sentralt beliggende på grensen til Clarens. Kort å gå til toget. Rett ved promenade og konsertsal. Sover her igjen. Frokost må kjøpes hos nabohotellet (*****) over veien, men denne var ikke veldig dyr, og utsikten er fantastisk.

Das Hotel Villa Toscane bietet ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Fitness-, Bade- und Frühstückseinrichtungen können vom 5-Sterne-Hotel gerade vis-à-vis genützt werden. Das Zimmer im Hotel Villa Toscane bietet alles, das man braucht, aber keinen zusätzlichen Luxus.

La Villa Toscane est devenue l'annexe de l'Hotel Plaaza. Le confort est resté identique mais il n'y a plus de réception et toutes les activités se déroulent en face : le parking, les petits déjeuners, la restauration, le fitness et la piscine, le sauna, le jaccuzi.
