The Harbourview - Hong Kong

I enjoyed my stay at the Harbourview however, I did not like the immediate surroundings of the hotel

Hong Kong hotels are generally small and overpriced. This hotel is good value for its standard. Rooms are spacious & clean. Other hotel areas such as reception, breakfast room etc. are somewhat small and a little poor. Again, guest rooms are good (in relation to Hong Kong standard, that is...) I was impressed with how clean this hotel was. The bathroom was spotless and shower drained quickly. Beds were on the firmer side but sheets were clean and comfortable. The rooms were small and had diagonal walls which made the space feel more cramped. The location was pretty good, in a quiet business area but neighboring the convention center which […] connected to a walkway to the MTR with a lot of restaurants on the way. The only complaint I have is when I lost my phone charger, they sent the lady who cleaned my room to defend herself and help find it even though it's clearly gone from the room and the front desk was not helpful in trying to remedy it. The Harbourview Hotel located a couple of blocks away from Lockard Street with the entertainment and close to the quiter harbour. Good value for the money.

Excellent hotel with all the simple things done very well, would gladly stay at this again.

Though a bit old. the Hotel is still well maintained. Considerable convenient yet in a quiet and pleasant location.

We chose this hotel as it seemed an ideal central location for travel to the ‘touristy’ areas within Hong Kong and our choice was perfect. We purchased a 3 day tourist travel pass for HK$300 which gave us a return trip to the airport and unlimited MTR use for 72 hours. It took about 25 minutes on the MTR from the airport to Wan Chai MTR station, on […] arrival we took a taxi to the hotel as it was late and we didn’t want the hassle of having to find the hotel the dark, it cost HK$20 which is the minimal fare, the hotel is literally a 5 minute walk from the station. We checked in late, the only double room left was a smoking room which suited my partner, (we were offered a non-smoking twin room) I would have preferred non-smoking as the room smelt and our baggage, clothes etc. picked up this smell during our time at the hotel, but this room was our choice so no bad reflection on the hotel . The room was perfect for our needs, some reviews state that the rooms are small, I didn’t feel this was the case as we had no intention of spending much time in the hotel anyway, we were there to see Hong Kong not the inside of a hotel room. We also had a room with ‘restricted view’ which meant we just saw other high rise buildings however again, this was our choice; we could have paid for a harbour view room if we wanted. The shower was fantastic, the room was clean, with fresh towels, toiletries and refreshments each day including a complimentary bottle of water and there was also a minibar and fridge. The TV had sufficient channels for the little time we spent in the hotel. The reception staff were friendly, spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful in advising on tourist information. This hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Wan Chai MTR station and Star Ferry to Kowloon HK$2.5 so all in all the perfect location for any tourist visiting Hong Kong. Devamı

In the center of HK BCD, even there's no room at all, but nothing can compare with this price. The service is gd, receptions are nice, recommended! Remarks: The fastest way to MTR station is go thru' Shui On Centre and get on the bridge(with cover) nearby.

1 min walking distance from the convention centre... where you can eat, shop, and take the MTR subway. Great services, nice room, confortable bed, and good lunch buffet. I had a view of the harbour and it was fantastic... true HK experience. Will stay here again.

The Hotel is close to the Ferry so that you can cross to Kowloon Island and also near the Metro system so that you can find your way around HongKong Island too! Great Hotel, Great Location at the appropriate prices.. What else do you want?

Very friendly helpful staff. Not too far from MTR (subway) station. Also a reasonably short walk to area where the New Years fireworks could be viewed. Nice selection for breakfast though it was not included in the cost of the room (at least for our booking) and was a bit pricey in my opinion.

Otherwise a nice, clean hotel with good service, but "limited city view" from our window was a concrete wall.

The hotel is ok. The rooms are quite small and the bed is like sleeping on the floor. The hotel restaurant was alright for buffet breakfast but expensive. The bar area is not very appealing. We only saw 2-3 people in there at any one time. The location of the hotel is off and away from anything fun and interesting in the HK area. Wouldn't stay here […] again. Devamı

Well priced, clean hotel conviniently located,small room but you do not stay much in the hotel in the Hongkong anyway. Nice view on the harbour. Walking distance to Star ferry, walking distance to subway. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Small rooms but a good location. Easy to go out for food and drinks from the hotel.

I arrived at the hotel late at night and found the check-in process very efficient and I was given a nice corner room overlooking the harbor. The room was clean, comfortable and small like other Hong Kong hotels I stayed at in the past. I'd definitely stay here again.

Hotel should provide free internet service instead of charging customers. Most all other hotels provide free internet.

good all-around!

I stayed three nights and for a three star hotel it was a good value. Rooms are smaller as is to be expected in Hong Kong. I would stay again if I needed to be in that area.

Nice comfortable hotel and a good restaurant. Staff very helpful and rooms lovely and clean. A bit of a walk to the MTR about 15 mins but buses available close by and definitely the best way to travel and so cheap. The ferry rides are a must to do and Wan Chai ferry is close by. Definitely stay here again.

My family enjoyed our 3-night stay at The Harbourview in Hong Kong. It's only 5-10 minute walk to Wan Chai station. From there, you can go to major attractions and shopping centers. The room is clean. It has a nice view of the harbour. The staff is professional and nice. We didn't eat/drink at their restaurants or bar/lounge so I can't comment on that. I was really excited before I got to the hotel, thinking that I was at Renaissance Harbourview, which is a block away and definitely in a superior category. I was surprised however, of the comfort of the bed and the pillows... just the way I want it - firm bed and goose pillow and cover. Room is small and mine did not have a bath tub which can be useful […] if you walk 10 / 12 hours a day. Make sure your driver knows this isn't the Renaissance Harbour View down the block. Tell patrons there is a ferry close by which goes to Tsim Sha Tsui. I didn't know this until the end. Very convenient. Hotel workers were warm, and friendly, the Manager is grim however and I think it may be a cultural understanding of an important job. You don't smile […] because someone might think you are working hard enough. A terrific hotel in my opinion. JM Oh one objection. If you think you are getting a bargain rate without breakfast included you are getting a good rate = unless you pay for breakfast in the dining room. if you are in town for the exhibition center this is a great choice! staff is very nice and helpfull with all issues. i really enjoyed my stay and i will stay there the next time i come to hk.

The internet cost is very high, $40/hour. $100/day. If you do not have your own laptop, there are only 2 spaces in the lobby for internet service. Only 2 medium size sofas in lobby to sit down!!! Local calls are $3.00/call. At least the local calls should be free. Hotel guests were very loud when they checked out in early mornings.

Very well located to various transportation types. Also a very walkable location. Wan Chi holds a good portion of bars and night spots. About the only negative is that I found the lobby internet connection a bit expensive @ $ four USD for 15 minutes of connection.

The hotel is in a good location and there's no need for any anxiety about the suitability of the hotel. Rooms and services are very good and the choice of food and its quality is totally acceptable. The only thing I was not really happy about was that I had to pay for internet access (this was not the case in the Beijing hotel we stayed at). Hotel internet […] charge seems to be the way here. The hotel is not more than 10min walk from the MTR and this is convenient. There is a lot to do and see in HK and the MTR makes most of this easy and economical. I will be happy to book a reservation at the Harbourview for my next HK trip. Devamı

rooms are very small, good for one person. you can hear everything from the hallway and the other rooms. The location is great if you want to be close to the convention center. It's only 5 mins walking. If you don't need the convention center or you don't care to take taxi,MTR,or bus don't stay there.

The Harbourview was conveniently located, but had the feel of an up-market youth hostel - there was baggage throughout reception and the rooms were small but well enough appointed. The shower however was hot and had great water pressure. And from our little window, we even had a small view of the harbour (very small). This hotel is perfect. The rooms are designed to be both efficient and beautiful. We had the two single beds with a harbour view. The chair and built-in desk were very functional. Internet worked great and easy to use. The bathroom was small, but the shower (with special shower head on the ceiling) was great. The Hotel is great, typical of a 3 star hotel. Location is good, near the Wan Chai Ferry terminal. Rooms are clean. Everything would have been great except for the personnel in the front desk. The personnel said we should wait 15 minutes because the room wasn't ready even though we arrived past their check in time. Their check out time is 12pm (how […] long does it take to get a room ready). So it was okay, we waited but after a couple of people passed us and got checked in even though we were obviously there first, I followed up our room request. We waited a bit more and didn't even get any apology. One was even rude. So even though the hotel room is Good I wouldn't recommend it because of the service. Devamı

This is in Wanchai and overlooking the conference center and Kowloon. Make sure you pay for the harbour view rooms. Location excellent, rooms very small but very functional and well equiped

Nothing bad to say about the hotel. Good access to subway and ferry. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. (for my records: the Hong Kong view is more impressive)

Don't worry about the distance to the MTR Subway, it is a quick 5 minute walk!

各方面都不錯, 房間不會太侷促, 唯一覺得不舒服的就是, 一進房就覺得有煙味, 應該要求換房的, 房價相當合理.

2泊して、デポジット（ＨＫ＄500）を要求され、クレジットで決済した。しかしチェックアウトの時、クレジットのマイナスＨＫ＄500の処理はせず、クレジットの控えに手書きでＣＡＮＣＥＬと書かれただけで、処理された。本当にマイナスの決済がされるのか大変不安。　今まで他のホテルではこのようなあいまいな処理は無かった。 このような、信頼の置けないホテルには泊まれない。　また、ホテルの宿泊金額も高く、 今回他のカオルーンのホテル、また、中国のホテルはその６０％ぐらいで、サービスも、施設のきれいさも、今回泊まったザハーバービューより格段に良かった。
