Very nice hotel staff, room was beautiful and comfortable, price was reasonable.

Good stay - wish the pool would have been open when we got there. It was open limited hours and we could not use it. it should be open earlier in the morning or later at night, i.e., 8-11 instead of 9-10.

I chose this hotel because it was very affordable for the area. There were ants in our bathroom when I got there, and even a couple dead ones in the fridge. They infested a pizza box we left out the last night. Also, the walls and flloor were extremely thin. I could hear all the conversation below us and was woken up at 2 a.m by drunks coming in banging […] around and talking loudly. Another morning we were woken at 6 a.m by construction. The room's ac was somewhat effective at drowning out the noise. The hotel's layout is cute and the pool area is nice, but I will not be returning. Devamı

The hotel is huge, with plenty of amenities. It was a beautiful day and I would have loved to stay and play around in the pools, but we had an itinerary to keep. The breakfast was amazing. Overall, I would stay there again and I would recommend it to friends.

Quiet area away from the action of SB. Probably why It's inexpensive. Nice pool areas for swimming with the kids. Good hotel for families on a budget, no romance or frills. Find that somewhere else.

Right on state street, big room, great free breakfast layout in a cool diner. I would stay there again just for the breakfast.

Horrible! I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel but I also wasn't expecting this when we got to the hotel it was just gross it looks like something you would see on tv where a man brings his hookers back to and they have an all night drug binge. The room had tons of ants but ants I can deal with construction behind the hotel starting at 6am went to take […] a shower either freezing cold or scalding hot no in between the best part was when we were packing up to leave we put our bags on the bed and found a cockroach. I couldn't sleep because right below me there were approx 5-10 ppl partying in one room all night. It was to the point next door neighbors screamed at them to keep it down. Also there was all this construction going on. A warning would have been nice from the staff. Tried connecting to the free wifi but that didn't work. This hotel is in a good central location to get to the happening area of state street. its decent for what you pay. We liked their swimming pool and jacuzzi. Eventhough it was a cool night when we went they water was nicely heated and we felt safe in a private sorroundings. One recommendation, keep your pool hours at least till midnite! poeple love […] that pool area, especially at night time. I will ask for pool hours on my next trip. Also, their continental breakfast is good. They have a good selection of things to eat, you wont get an omelette, but enough to get u going in the morning. Devamı

Time for new towels/wash clothes and room renovation.

Simple and friendly. Great pool and hot tub. Stayed here after spending a day sampling vino. Great way to start and end the trip.

Was able to upgrade for free to a room with 3 Queen beds which was excellent. My 2 boys got to have their own beds and my husband and I had a seperate room with an addiotonal tv in it. Great breakfast, great pool, awesome hotel!

Wish the pool and jacuzzi had solar lights in the trees. I was a bit dark. The people who were quest at the hotel were nice and pleasant. I especially enjoyed the Danish Guys at the jacuzzi. They were handsome. Rooms a bit small,but I would definetly stay there next Spring Break and party at the pool.

The pros: The grounds were very nice, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was especailly varied and good and the staff was very helpful. The cons: The walls were thin, the rooms and bathrooms were dated and plain and the hotel is far from the "cute" part of Santa Barbara, though close to the highwasy.

We are used to staying at Marriots, but chose this motel because of the convenience to UCSB and for the great price. The room was somewhat dated, as were the bathroom fixtures, but everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Someone was smoking outside my room and I could smell the smoke enter the room despite the fact my door and windows were closed. The young staff were exceptionally hospitable and helpful. The free "continental breakfast" exceeded my expectations with a vast aray of choices.

Mike was extremely helpful & knowledgeable of points of interest in Santa Barbara. Definitely will be returning. Although room are much smaller than expected. Other than that awesome hotel.,.

This motel DOES have great amenities, such as dvd players, cute breakfast room, and a really nice pool! Just make sure you get an upgraded room, and also specify if you have a preference for mattress type. the first room we stayed in was pretty bad, and the beds like rocks. The Sandman Inn ( a moderately priced motel on over 4 acres ) is quiet & conveniently located on State Street a few miles from the beach) next to shops, restaurants and shopping center. A wonderful value. Perfect for a one or several day stay if close proximity to the beach is not a priority. I would stay there again.

Mold in the bathroom

The hotel is older but well maintained. Their restaurant is great; it has a '50s theme and good food for a light breakfast. As a road warrior, I found everything I expected.

Handicapped and no room availability on the first floor. Furthermore no elevator to access the second floor. Room was clean but carpet was old and had a musky odor to it. Floor was very weak and cracked loudly whenever one walked on it. Breakfast was good. Planned trip to take our 4th grader to see the Mission, although I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews I was pleasantly surprised with The Sandman Inn. Starting with the Extremely friendly staff...upon arrival we were greeted and given excellent recommendations maps. The rooms were quaint, the beds were very comfortable and the front […] desk has movies that can be borrowed, a pretty large selection too. Breakfast in Al's diners was a very extensive "continental breakfast" The decor was adorable. The pool was very warm. This is a gem in Santa Barbara - the value is excellent - the rooms are fine for the value - I would certainly stay here again

The amenities of the room were far better from what you will expect from a hotel within this price range. The breakfast was very good with a lot of options. If I come back to Santa Barbara will definitively book a room again. The front desk staff was very nice.

We had a great stay. The room was very comfortable and clearly recently renovated. Very Euro/Ikea and cute. It's obvious the people that run this place care. The front desk staff was all positive and helpful. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Very good value for the money- the décor was a little jaded but the convenient position and the helpful staff made up for that. The room was large and we had no trouble from noisy neighbours! Wonderful hotel with a great continental breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised when I got into my room and saw complimentary water and all the bathroom necessities. Great hotel for the price you pay!

For the price, the hotel was great. The hotel is in a great location. It is surrounded by many stores and restaurants. It is very close to the Mission, the Downtown area and the pier, which is a nice place to go walk around. Although the hotel room was small, it was clean and in good condition.

This Inn was surprisingly superb in terms of cleanliness, affordability - especially in Santa Barbara, excellent servide and included a complimentary breakfast. Forget the top name hotels and check out this small but adorable inn!

I loved the size of the room. I did find the bathroom a little old. The breakfast was amazing. The service was great and friendly. The hot tub was very nice and enjoyable. I was only there for one night, but would definately recommend it.
