Stayed here before taking the interisland ferry to the South Island. Not a bad hotel. Found a car park in front of the hotel (paid parking from 8a-8p - luckily we arrived after 6p so only had to pay for 2 hours). But it could be a big issue if you were there for multiple days ($4/hr parking gets expensive). Room was tiny, but clean and convenient. We found this hotel to be very convenient for downtown activities. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to get to. The hotel itself is a bit dated and rough around the edges and our room was a bit cold (could benefit from electric blankets on the bed). The bed was very comfortable and the room facilities, while basic, were all serviceable. If you […] want someplace central and just want to use your room to crash in at night then this hotel will suit. On the other hand, if your after a bit of pampering and luxury don't stay here. After reading all the negative reviews about this hotel I warned my partner to have low expectations when we booked for a weekend in Wellington. I did ask for a refurbished room based on what others had said, so it is possible that some of the other reviews are justified. However, we had a really lovely studio room on the 15th floor with beautiful city […] views from several windows and a balcony. All the windows opened so we had plenty of fresh air. The room was very clean, a little worn in places like the basin and coffee-making area, but otherwise really very nice. The bed was comfortable and my partner was able to watch the Bledisloe Cup re-run on the wall-mounted tv from bed :) Waking up to the sun sparkling on the university hill was fantastic. maar we hadden minder geluk met de service. De kamer werd niet schoongemaakt - omdat we pas om 11u de kamer verlieten? nochtans verzoekbordje uitgehangen - en de wake up call was men vergeten. De kamer was ok, maar toch wat afgeleefd.

Das Hotel ist nicht mehr neu, man merkt es an einigen Details. Größtes Problem: das Badezimmer hat keine Heizung, aber einen Ventilator, der direkt ins freie führt. Dadurch dringt permanent kalte Luft ins Bad, am morgen ist es eiskalt. Erst nach Reklamation bekam ich einen Heizlüfter, mit dem ich das Bad auf eine brauchbare Temperatur bringen konnte. Mikrowelle, […] Toaster, Wasserkocher waren jeweils sichtlich alt und wirkten etwas eklig, der Bezug des Bügelbretts war braun verfärbt, man musste befürchten, die Wäsche beim Bügeln gleich wieder zu verschmutzen. WLAN kostenpflichtig, trotzdem dauernd Abbrüche und schwaches Signal. Der Fehler konnte innerhalb von 5 Tagen nicht korrigiert werden, immerhin wurde die Leistung deshalb nicht in Rechnung gestellt. Günstige und zentrale Lage, alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Treppenhaus mit unangenehmem Essensgeruch. Das Zimmer an sich war sauber, das Bett komfortabel, auch ein großer Schreibtisch war vorhanden. Sehr günstiger Preis, deshalb im Hinblick auf die günstige Preis-Leistungs-Relation immer noch empfehlenswert. Devamı
