The Hilton is nice and clean and it is close to the San Diego Convention center. Unfortunately it is also close to the railroad tracks. All through the night loud air horns and crossing arm alarms were going off. I even got up to check and make sure the balcony sliding door was closed tight, it was that loud. It seemed like every hour on the hour an […] air horn was blasting you out of sleep. To make matters worse I had a charge on my card that I had to call the hotel about. I was billed for 2 bottled waters that I never saw let alone drank. They did refund the charges but it was just a bad experience over all. Devamı

Are you kidding Hilton? Really? I mean come on seriously? First be prepared for a beat down on parking! $40 a night. The excuse is that they "subcontract" parking. Well wasn't that YOUR choice? What a way to greet your customers. Hey, thanks for staying with us, Oh you have a car with you? $40 more a night please. Here is an idea, include parking for […] free, what a concept. When you arrive to your floor please take notice of the internet cables that are literally running along the ceiling stapled to the wall and in clear view. Who manages this property to allow such shoddy work? A little crown molding, maybe a fascia of some sort or perhaps just a little wire moulding could have done the trick ---ooh wait a better idea, how about WiFi on each floor? Bingo! Could these people care any less about their brand? The room I stayed in seemed fine, no complaints. There is a concierge although most of the time he was not at his post. Devamı

Liked- location, friendly staff, comfy bed, very clean, quiet inside the hotel, nice pool although small, pool chairs were like pillows so cozy Disliked- didn't seem updated other than the lobby but still nice. I was on the 8th floor and could hear everything outside... Car doors shutting, people talking. Had to use ear plugs, sink drain clogged up […] a bit/ slow to drain whenever I'd wash my face. I would recommend this hotel again bc it's in an awesome location, two blocks from Petco park, next to convention center, right next to gas lamp. It wasn't the fanciest hotel in the world- just your typical hotel but it was a comfy stay and I enjoyed it :) Devamı

My room was very pretty but there is a train whistle that went off twice in the night, and drunken revelers from the neighboring bars out the window. None of the staff appeared to be over the age of 30 and whatever was distracting them, I don't think it was a desire to offer better service. Nice room though. For a romantic getaway - great choice.

Hotel had a great location but service checking in and out was exceptionally slow. Cable was being worked on so TV reception was poor (when worked at all). We ended up having to catch the game at the restaurant in the hotel vs. from the comfort of our room. We were looking forward to one King bed but ended up with two full beds (note: the reservation […] clearly stated a King bed). We stayed in San Diego for two nights and chose the Hilton at Gaslamp Quarter because of its location and we did not go wrong. The location of this hotel is amazing and the surroundings are full of fun great restaurants. We had a car with us and parked it a few blocks away in a 24 hour parking, so that was perfect. This place is centrally located and the room in the loft suites was cool though a little dated. The main issue really is the trains and planes going by. The ear plugs don't really do much. However, if you want to stay in this area in San Diego (which has loads going for it!) this hotel is a reasonably good deal. The parking fees are HIGH so take no […] te. Devamı

Very easy walk to restaurants, shops and bars.

Great hotel, great customer service, very comfortable beds and pillows, convenient to everything downtown San Diego has to offer. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

When we chose to take a last minute stay-cation in San Diego, the Hilton was definitely our first choice. It's always one of the most reasonably priced (even though it's in one of the best locations & such a nice hotel), convenient, comfortable choices in the Gaslamp District. We've stayed here twice and both experiences were great! We did have limited […] experience with the amenities & staff, but what we did use/experience was great! We had a great time staying at hotel. It was walking distance to so many things in the Gaslamp district. We will recommended to our friends!

The location is great - walking distance to shops and restaurants in the Gaslamp district. The room was small but comfortable, especially the bed. My only concerns were that the front desk personnel were not particularly friendly or helpful and there is a train that goes through at night, which is pretty loud. The room came with earplugs. Perfect. Within stumbling distance of anywhere u wanna be in gaslamp. Views aren't as nice as the big Hilton across the street, but it has way more character and u don't have the extra 10 minute walk to get to all the action.

Normally I would never have booked outside of the room block, but this hotel was not blocked for students and it was such a great location that I could not pass it up. The Front Desk and Bell Services were so friendly and extremely helpful. We were a group of 11 students staying in 3 rooms and couldn't have asked for better service. The location was great at the edge of the Gaslamp District and close to the San Diego Bay. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the large screen TV!! Only complaints were that we had to call to get the room made up after coming back at 3:30 p.m. after being out all day, and that the $40 per day parking seems excessive.

Good location, near beach and tourist sites. Only negative was that our room faced the train tracks and the constant dinging from the warning bell was somewhat frustrating, especially when long freight trains came by.

Good hotel, great location. Just wish we had two bigger beds. Hard to sleep with two kids in double beds. Otherwise, a decent stay and close to everything.

We stayed at the Hilton Gaslamp to see a football game at Qualcomm park. The hotel is located right on the trolley line and there are usually extra trains running to take people from the Gaslamp right to the park without making a transfer for big games. It was also a short distance from the airport (a $15 taxi ride) so we never needed to rent a car. […] I was worried about the noise from the trolley and trains in our room, but it was never a problem at all and I am a light sleeper. The hotel staff let us check in a bit early and there are countless great restaurants and night clubs in the Gaslamp which makes for a a very fun stay. The hotel is also very close to the waterfront where you can go for a run, a walk ,or just go grab a bite and enjoy the view and the sightseeing. The rooms are updated, clean, and comfortable. It was a great deal for the money and we had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to be close to good food, nice views, and nightlife. Devamı

Beautiful hotel, nice staff, terrific location. Located adjacent to train tracks but nighttime train noise did not disturb us on the eighth floor. Parking cost is very high--even higher than comparable surrounding hotels--but that is the only drawback. We would stay here again if a rate discount balanced out the parking cost.

With all the hotels in the area I was unsure which to choose. This place was perfect. They greeted my daughters and gave them a fun scavenger hunt to complete to explore the hotel. Our room was on the 11th floor with a view and a Juliet balcony. From the front desk staff, the bell hops, and the maids...Everyone was friendly, kind, and professional. […] and if you're wondering...the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Although the hotel parking is only valet, it is very expensive, had to park away from the hotel. No choice.

The noise was not as bad as some guests claim. We asked for a mini fridge at check in, but had to call back to remind them after 3 hours. We were also supposed to b given a comp bottle of wine which never happened. All that said, the room was very clean, the bed was comfy w a nice large tv. Overall a very pleasant stay. Great hotel, fantastic location. My only complaint is that parking isn't included. Staff were awesome though and super helpful. If you want to be in the heart of the city or plan to check out the nightlife this is a fantastic location. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat! P.S. great little mom &pop grocery store/deli across the street.

This is the second time we stayed at the Gaslamp Hilton ..Each time we were upgraded to a suite. This hotel has a boutique urban feel ..it is right in the Gaslamp area and across the street from the convention center..great location. Everything is footsteps away.. It has an urban vibe so there maybe some noise issues for some guests.

Stayed in the king loft which is seperated from the hotel. Very nice. They also have an outside patio to relax.Location is perfect to enjoy gaslamp. Recommend it!

This place is perfect for the Gaslamp District and public transpo. Really nice hotel and staff. Room is modern and stylish. Only small downside was no wifi in rooms which is only an issue for Ipad and Tablet users. There was wifi in the lobby.

Great location in the Gaslamp Quarter on 5th. The hotel is at one end of 5th, near the Convention Center, so not right in the middle of all the weekend crazy - which is a good thing when you want to catch some shut eye. All the bars and restaurants and House of Blues are within walking distance. We had a king loft - good sized room. Downside after getting […] a great rate at hotels.com was that parking at the hotel was $36 per night and only valet. Arrived in the rain, and there is no covered entryway or self parking. We loved it here. Right at the start of the gaslamp quarter, in the middle of everything. Beautiful, clean and the staff was amazing. I will definitely return.

Very convenient to the convetion center and airport. Excellent dinner options close by - overall great value.

Location was ok excepts train noise. The beds are tinier than mine. Our family suffered for tiny beds and room.

We came down for a Padres game. The hotel was very clean, nice amenities and you can't beat the location.

Excellent value, walk to conv center, comfortable room, great breakfast buffet and AMAZING WATERMELON Margarittas. Some noise from trains as late as 11 pm, but no big deal if you live in a city. Again, great value, try the bar drinks! (I've heard..) Super staff and bellmen!!

We booked the loft suite for our anniversary. It was a fantastic 750sf room with very high ceilings and a view of the Gaslamp Quarter. The rooms are top notch. The front desk lady Rebecca overheard it was our 1st anniversary and sent up a bottle of champagne while we were out at dinner. Truly 1st class service and we will be back next year!
