Four Points by Sheraton Lexington - Lexington

Very quiet, nice beds, clean bathrooms, good water pressure, but avoid the restaurant. We waited 45 mins and didn't even get a drink. So we left and went to another restarant where we were served in 5 mins. They shouldn't have a restaurant if they can't manage it.

Staff very friendly. Beds very comfortable. Battery for door entry didn't work well with key card. It was repaired within a few hours after we reported it. Hotel bar and restaurant was understaffed. Didn't get to order food due to the 1.5 hour wait for other customers. Food did look good though, just not available. Wanted to order a pay per movie but […] service was down for 2 days. These are a few minor details that were a bit frustrating but not a deal breaker. Devamı

no effort to made to make the hotel appearance appealing. The hotel restaurant had appsolutely no warmth or charm. Food stained menus, cafeteria quality silverware...only order sandwiches Best rooms overlook parking lot. Lesser rooms overlook pool roof with the charming sound of children screeming..

Free Wi-Fi was listed as an amenities however, I could never log on. When I called the front desk, they told me there was no solution and sorry. Also, there was a thermostat on the wall but the air conditioner had the old control box on it with the lid broken off of it. The wires were plainly in view and easily accessible. Very friendly and helpful staff!

Our experience was good - One problem was that they ran out of coffee for the rooms. In our area the hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable.

Paper thin walls in a Sheraton location was disappointing. Probably the best bet for Sheraton is to abandon this property and build a high quality structure that reflects its brand name. A Days Inn or Microtel experience at a Sheraton 4 Points was unexpected ..and at the rate this location was charging, it was over priced. The lack of solid doors and […] frames contributed to hearing moderate level conversations up and down the hallways as if people were standing in the room. Sheraton can do better. However, my next stay will not be at any 4 Point Sheraton. Hampton Inn Suites are a much better choice since that brand is consistent in its structures quality. Devamı

We had initial high hopes for this hotel as the front desk was prepared and check in went very quickly. However, things went down hill right after that. we got to our room, the farthest room away from the lobby that you could be, and found our key didn't work. After 3 trips back and nearly a half hour later they decided the battery needed replacing […] and would send up maintenance to fix it. Outside our door on the very low ceilings there were dirty old cobwebs that had not been cleared away. Before he arrived I noticed via a wet spot on the floor that the roof was leaking in the room. A quick call to the front desk got us another room. In the hallways were stationed a few garbage cans and buckets to capture more leaks from the roof. The next evening we returned to our hotel to find both our keys would not open either the outer door or our room. Once again we had to get new keys, the clerk on duty claiming our keys both must have gone bad coincidentally. At 7 that morning the fire alarm went off, forcing everyone out for over a half hour. I never did learn what set it off but it didn't appear to be a fire. if I am ever in that area again i will be choosing another hotel. I figured a Sheraton would at least have a minimum standard to rely on. Devamı

We had a very nice stay. The room was clean, the staff was friendly. The only complain I had was I had to take a cold shower the second day. It seems the block of rooms around me had hot water issues. However, I can't hold them accountable for that...it could happen anywhere. They were more than sorry and willing to fix the problem. Hall way carpets need replaced, dirty and numerous raised areas-could lend to one tripping or falling resulting in injury

The hotel was not very clean the carpeting was nasty the rooms need updating.

Old and poorly maintained, needs updating desperately! Will never stay there again. Nice people who work there.

There wasn't anything particularly wrong with this hotel, in and of itself. And perhaps I only paid what I feel was an exorbitant rate (based on the amenities or lack thereof) because it was the October weekend of the QEII race at Keeneland, and everything in the area was overpriced. But I have stayed in lesser chains (i.e., Days Inns and Holiday Inn […] Expresses and others not affiliated with a more top-shelf name like Sheraton) that had small refrigerators and microwaves STANDARD in the rooms. Four Points by Sheraton had neither. Another example of somewhat cheap service: The room's single-cup coffee maker had only ONE package of regular coffee and ONE package of decaf, each package enough for a single cup of coffee. In other words...can't housekeeping leave TWO packages of each in a king-bed room just in case, you know, a couple is there and BOTH like regular or BOTH like decaf? This would certainly prevent a guest from having to raid the housekeeping cart in the hall for a coffee packet, which I had to do. The hotel's free wifi signal was very slow (why don't hotels offer free wifi for those willing to use it AND offer a premium wifi signal for an extra charge for those who need a good signal and are willing to pay for it?). Plusses: The hotel was clean, relatively quiet, and probably a great location if someone is going to the Kentucky Horse Park. It's not in the downtown, but Lexington is small enough that getting to and from downtown from Four Points isn't much of an issue. Devamı

This use to be a nice place to stay. Hotel staff is pleasant and helpful. This place needs a major update. The carpets are absolutely filthy and the low level lighting in the room make it impossible tosee let alone read. Pillows are terrible and sheets were thin & pilly. The morning of our departure there was no hot water.

starting to look run down. carpet is horrible. Rooms are ok, but also need some work. service is avg at best.

Room and bath look "tired": needed new carpet, bed, and general bath clean up around seams. Litter outside our patio door. Despite promise, no room wireless (clerk said there was a ethernet cable in the drawer for that reason, but there was not.) Breakfast buffet was not replentished often, so on the cold side. This was a nice hotel, close to everything you would like to see in Lexington, the only dislike I had was that there was no wi fi in the rooms, now a days this is a MUST, there was hook ups for laptops, but these days people want wi fi.

checking in, no bell help was offered, the luggage cart could not be moved to the other part of the hotel where our room was because of steps, and the easiest way for us to take it ourselves was through the parking lot. The room was comfortable, but nothing special.

People were nice, but no one ever cleaned under the toilet (too disgusting to explain) after front desk notified twice. NO breakfast...paid breakfast bar only..McDonalds/Waffle house across the street. Restaurant served 'shrimp cocktail' that had been thawed in hot water..so they were very warm and mushy. Indoor/outdoor pool? Oh yeah...they communicate […] and aren't heated! Hallway carpeting worthy of the cheapest seaside resort by a pool...VERY unsafe for the disabled..ie wheelchair/walker/cane. Threadbare and wrinkled so bad I tripped twice (before I had a badly needed beer) Next time the 'cheap motel' has my vote. The Sheraton once again has proven to me they aren't worthy of your hard earned dollars..oops pesos. Next exit up has ALL the amenities/restaurants and shopping...it's a no brainer for us next time. This hotel is very tired. Carpeting in hallways is stretched and dirty. Room had only 2 towels and our room was never cleaned during the day without our specifically asking for it. Front desk workers spent more time outside the front door smoking than at the desk. Air conditioners in the rooms are very loud and cycle constantly. They'll turn off for […] literally 10 seconds, then start back up at the approximate volume of a small aircraft. Tough to get a good night of sleep. No refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms, but they will bring those items in if you request them. That's about the only plus that I can give the place. Devamı

Since I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel to stay while traveling to my final destination on vacation, this location was satisfactory for the price paid.

I really like this place. It's convenient to downtown, area restaurants, convenience store, etc. Overall, the hotel looks great. I agree with another person's comment that they need to replace the carpet in the hallways. While I rated the room a 4, I checked in to a packed hotel and got a ground floor room...the carpet in the entire room felt damp.

I was very disapointed with the room to start off with. The room smelled musty, and the carpet was wet, so, we had to change rooms. Coffee is not available in the lobby 24 hrs like most places. You know people travel all day or night and want coffee when they find their place to settle in. The room is only equiped with a one cup coffee maker, and only […] one pk of reg coffee. While I was off to a doctors appt., my sister went into the resturaunt for breakfast, and the waitress told her she had to wait, because she had Room Service Deliveries that came first. Then another couple came in the resturaunt, too. When the waitress returned, the couple that came in after her were complaining about how long it took, so she SERVICED THEM FIRST. My sister sat there and waited while the waitress went and delivered more room service, and tended to the couple that came in after her. She waited and was more patient and nicer than I would have been and I was the one paying for the stay. While I was out, at my doctors appt. I had a car accident. My sister walked to the front desk and asked for an ice pack, and a pot of coffee, she asked if there was a charge and the young man at the desk said they never had such a request as he could recall so he did not know. I was charged over 10 dollars for this. (the ice pack was ice cubes in a ziplock baggie.) Not that I don't have the money, I do. This should have been free. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone. I will not be staying there again myself. I picked this place to make my sister comfortable during her visit while I went to the doctor. I come to KY once or twice a month for medical & family visits. I have family in Lexington. I was embarrassed by this place. I should have stayed at the Marriott next door, or elsewhere. I am sick of bad service for high prices. I can assure you that I will do more research before staying anywhere else. I have stayed at several places in the area there. I will be going back to them. Clean and comfortable. Nice indoor / outdoor pool. Hallway carpet was a bit worn, but everything else was great.

The room was great. It was really close to the Kentucky Horse Park. The carpet in the hall could use a cleaing and stretching. We would stay here again.

Awesome! I had lasik surgery early one morning and needed to stay overnight in Lexington for a follow up appointment and they allowed us to check in earlier than the 3pm check in time. The desk manager that day was wonderful! She was very helpful and we will continue to stay with them when we are in Lexington, which is regularly.

I read the reviews of Four Points by Sheraton before making my reservations and picked this hotel because it sounded clean and convenient. The good reviews must have been written by people staying in a different part of the hotel because my experience was bad. I have actually never written a hotel review before but I want to warn people to stay away […] from this place. The lobby was very nice but as soon as I turned the corner to my room I noticed that the carpet in the hallway was stained and uneven - it was not flat to the floor but was rippled like waves. Apparently, the owners have an aversion to new carpet because the carpet in my room was also old and stained. I wore socks while staying there because I did not want my bare feet to actually touch the ground. The bathroom was very clean but while taking my shower I noticed that the water was not draining. I ended up standing in about 8 inches of water while I showered. When it was time for bed, I pulled back the covers to discover numerous holes in the top sheet. Thankfully, the sheets in the other bed were OK so I slept in it. I use the term "slept" in a generic sense because the bed was so lumpy and the pillow so hard that I was up and down all night long. At one point, I attempted to use towels from the bathroom as a pillow. The staff were very friendly and I probably should have complained but I arrived late to the hotel and needed to get up early for a conference. I should note that I needed to fax something to my office but the Four Points staff were completely unable to figure out how to fax long distance. They were very pleasant though. Almost next to the Four Points are two more hotels. Although I have not stayed at them, I can't imagine they would be much more than the Four Points. Clean but much more primitive than I expected for a Four Points. No wifi (but free internet with a wire), Near the freeway but pretty far from everything else in town. Wouldn't go back.

~~The good: hotel is very tastefully furnished. The room is comfortable with nice appointments. Lobby beautifully decorated. Desk staff very friendly and helpful. Room key didn't work last day-they rekeyed it, but it still didn't work. They gave me 50% off my restaurant bill for the trouble. ~~Not so good: I specifically chose this hotel due to the […] free WIFI. Bad, sometimes non existent reception in room. Went to restaurant 2nd night to do work with laptop. Zero reception, and I was there over 2 hours, although I supposedly had excellent reception. Ended up going to McDonald's next door to check emails. After contacting front desk, they told me their server was down and didn't know when it would be up. ~~Pulled out a towel to dry off with after a shower. Dead bug smashed in the fold. Eww. Gave to front desk--they apologized profusely. ~~Service in restaurant ridiculously slow. Only one server/bartender. Food lukewarm when I got it. Waited a long time to get a 2nd drink. I requested 2 double bed and they gave me a room with single so one of us slep in a chair. They did agree to move us to a room with 2 double beds the next night. We had to check our baggage and check back into the new room later. A fter walking outside we found the weather to be cold and rainy. hotel news new carpet and stepped on something in room barefooted . me and wife both still can't get it out.

The 4 points Sheraton was very clean and spacious. Staff were very nice. On site bar and restaurant. Convenient to shopping. Well worth the price.

We stayed two nights and were very pleased with the experience. Four Points is very clean with a friendly hotel staff. While we didn't eat at the restaurant, it looked like it was getting good business. The only problem with having a restaurant in the hotel was that there was no continental breafast, which would have been great. Highly recommend staying […] here, and we will definitely be back.
