Baymont Inn & Suites Waterloo - Waterloo

I really liked it in general, however they didn't tell me that there was an extra fee for my dog. The smoking room was the last they had and it was terrible. ( just the smell) . But I'm sure all of the other rooms were very nice.

A fine hotel overall. Nice staff, decent breakfast, etc. BUT, my room was supposed to be a non-smoking room and it had obviously been smoked in. The sign on the door of the room said no smoking and there were several signs inside the room that said no smoking, yet it smelled like smoke and there were two ash trays in the room.

We chose this hotel because it was the cheapest in town that advertised a hot tub. When we got there the hot tub was broken and the girls at the desk said it had been broken for YEARS with NO attempt made to fix it! They also made a big deal out of "continental breakfast featuring HOT WAFFLES" which would lead you to belive there is a waffle maker, […] as opposed to the freezer waffles and a toaster that was actually there. Hotels.com is wrong on two big counts: no hot tub and check in/out times are an hour earlier than advertised. Otherwise, stay was very nice. I very much enjoyed my stay at the Baymont. I was disappointed when I learned that the hot tub was out of order as that was one reason I chose to stay there for. The breakfast was decent could have used some more healthy options like more fruit options or dairy options. The receptionists were very kind. They assured I was taken care of. I really liked […] the atmosphere I got walking in the door of the Inn and then into my room. They gave me just the right amount of pillows. Normally I have to ask for more. They beds were comfortable and when I laid down in the bed it smelled clean you don't get that everywhere you go so it made me feel more safe and comfortable then I normally do at an Inn or hotel. . I was disappointed that smoker rooms were on the same floor as mine. But the smell didn't seem to find it's way into my room which was nice. I was maybe a few blocks from the Crossroads Mall a little farther for Target, Walmart, Barnes and Noble, etc. It basically is in the "heart" of the shopping areas. It was close to the mall, the casino ,all different restrunts .

The hotel is very nice, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast left something to be desired, but overall a nice place to stay and a good value.

There was a nasty dirt trail going all the way down the hallway carpet on the second floor. The swimming pool area reminded me of a petri dish and the continental breakfast was very lacking.

Very surprised at how dated and worn hotel was considering surrounding hotels were newer and more modern in appearence. Room was clean, just very dated and worn. Haven't been in a hotal in years that had a tube TV. Hotel description stated there were movies, however, not the case. Roo mhad a musty like smell? Carpet needs replaced. The staff was absolutely great. The hot tub was not working, pool was cold the first day, but a little warmer the next. There was a bad smell in the hallways. The room was OK, the beds could have been more comfortable, it could use a microwave and the TV was not a flat screen. Bathroom was small. If you are just wanting a place to sleep, it is OK. From […] talking to a few other guests, the hot tub not working seems to be a frequent problem, so don't plan on that, if it happens to be working, that's a bonus, but don't book a room expecting it to work. This hotel. Is a more than adequate place to stay over for a night. We were satisfied with the whole experience there. One may want to travel up the street if you want a more satisfying breakfast but than that's not something we list as important in our stay overs.

This was an awesome little hotel! For the price, this was hands-down the best deal. The rooms were clean, the continential breakfast was OK, cereal, french toast, oatmeal, juice, fruit, yogurt and coffee. The ONLY negative I have to say about this stay was the pool was very cold and needed to be cleaned. The hotel is not gross or absolutely terrible and if you are a lone traveler needing one night stay then it would probably suffice as the price is right. Otherwise I would look elsewhere. The first thing I noted was the hallways were very dirty and hadn't been vacuumed in quite some time. The room was okay, bed was a little below standard for the star […] rating. Some very odd things. The phone had bare wires coming out of the unit and the wall and didn't work. The light above the bathroom sink is turned on by the door light-switch. This same light-switch also controls power to the television and outlets along the opposite far wall of the room. So you can not watch tv unless you have the huge fluorescent light above the sink on. The television sounded as if there was a hamster running on a wheel to power it up. At first I thought it was the refrigerator but then I realized the refrigerator didn't work. The shower head was brand new but the water pressure was weak. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and the service was fine but overall I was really disappointed in this place and wont stay again. Devamı

We like to stay at your hotel because we can bring our dog which is very important to us. It is a good centralized location to visit family and friends. The front deck personal are always very nice and friendly.

Bedding was above average ample supply of towels. Hotel supplied microwave oven by request at no charge. There are some minor maintenance issues but nothing too bothersome. The TV remote did not work correctly our 1st night but it was promptly replaced the next day when I requested it be checked. We did not eat the breakfast or use any other part of […] the Hotel. Everything was fabulous except the pool area- a little dirty and the hot tub was out of order.

Hotel was well priced, however, the hot tub was out of order and the pool was tepid, the refrigerator in the room barely cooled sodas. We were told to pull the fridge out of the cabinet and turn up the setting (a knob on the very back of the fridge). This still did not result in a cold fridge. One of the two phones in the room did not work and the room […] was not vacuumed when we arrived. Our sons were in the room next door and several times we could not contact them on the house phone system. We requested the phone be serviced on the first day of our two day stay and it was never even looked at. The bed was comfortable with clean bedding. I would recommend the hotel based on price alone, but only if you don't expect any extras or the amenities listed to actually be working. Devamı

I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends. Our t.v. set never worked, we told the front desk and nothing got done and I told the gal at the front desk the next morning about it and all she could say was I'm sorry. The bathroom sink even had cracks all over it I was surprised any water stayed in the sink.

They were very nice at the front desk. They got our rooms for us before the check-in time. The beds were comfortable and clean. The bathroom could use an update as the tub was really old and toilet flush handle had to be held down for a long time to make it flush. Nice hotel; good accomodations. Only thing, the bed was a little too soft for my husband's taste.

The bed was one of the hardest I've ever had to sleep on. I woke up with a sore back but other than that, the hotel was perfect!

Inside is better then the outside, rooms are nice, workout room is well below avg.

The carpet looked as though it wasn't cleaned in a while(we had to wear shoes when we left the bed). The mattress sagged in the middle. The pillows were a joke. The towels smelled like lye and some were frayed and torn. The view from our window was of some one's unkept backyard. The halls smelled moldy. The pool needed a scrubbing. Overall we were very satisfied with the hotel, staff and our room. The downside was the upkeep of the pool and hot tub area. It looked like it was not maintained well, at all. The bottom of the pool and the hot tub were dirty, and looked unsanitary. This was my first trip by myself and my first time at Baymont Inn. It is a nice hotel. The room is decorated nicely and the breakfast was great. The only thing I would suggest for improvement was in the pool area. I went in the hot tub and that was great. I would suggest more regular cleaning of the pool. Motel was quiet, rooms were clean, and comfortable. The pool area was the only place that appeared to need some repair. The price was very reasonable for a short weekend get away with little children. We had a good time and staff were very helpful.

The only negative thing is that the rooms where not spacious, but - they were not cramped either. No mold in either of our bathrooms. Rooms seemed fresh and in the morning -- the breakfast area was very nice, clean, and generously stocked with variety of foods. There is NOT an elevator in this hotel and I had 2 young children with me as well as my elderly […] parents. It was a PAIN to haul everything up the stairs! I had requested ground floor rooms, but - we checked in after 10 pm, so I understand we were assigned rooms on the 2nd floor; but - it was what it was = inconvenient. Devamı

Friendly and cooperative service. Clean and organized. Pleasant stay as always. Been there on more than one occassion. Will visit again when I go back that way.

Very good value for the money.

Great hotel in which to stay...been at this location several times and will return. The one and only criticism I have is that the hot tub & pool look like they need a thorough scrubbing--a bit grungy. Everything else is top-notch!

The outside of the building looks old and run-down but the rooms are cleaner and nicer. Its not Holiday Inn or Hampton quality but its also not their price.

Everything was fine. The staff was very helpful. I wanted to find a fabric shop in Waterloo and they gave me very good directions how to get there.

Our room was very spacious and comfortable. It was clean and the hotel staff was polite. The one downfall to the hotel is that they had no hot water for showers. We tried both in the evening and in the morning.We thought it was just our room but we overheard other guests complain about this.

A few years ago Baymont took over the space that was the holiday inn express. At that time everything was nice and new. Not anymore. Stained comforters, filthy bathtubs, worn furniture and grungy grimy light switches and door handles is what we got when we recently checked in. There were dark streaks of dirt/grime on the light switch covers and hair […] still in the bathtub and on the floor in the bathroom. The bottom of the bathtub was dark from dirt that could easily be cleaned up with some elbow grease and cleaning fluid. The lampshades were covered with a thick layer of dust. I went to the front desk to request another room and the clerk was helpful in getting me one. The second room was really not much better but we dealt with it by wiping down the handles and light switches with handiwipes. The beds are hard. We skipped the generic breakfast of packaged danishes, bagels, biscuits and gravy etc and went to the casino's $6 buffet (with players card). My nights at this Baymont Inn are done unless the management can supervise what the cleaning crew is doing and get them to do a better job. There are at least 7 other places to stay at within a mile, some cheaper some more expensive, and i'd gladly pay $20 more a night for a clean room! Devamı

I will spend the extra $20 next time and stay next door in the Holiday Inn Express or Comfort Suites. When we arrived in the evening, the coffee pot was empty. Had to wait 20 minutes to get a cup of coffee. When going in for the complimentary breakfast, 3 of the 4 coffee pots were again empty. The only one that had anything in it was the decaf. When […] we went into our room, we were a little disappointed that there was not a DVD player. The cleanliness of the room could use improvements. The carpet around the night stand was dirty. No furniture had been moved in a long time to vacuum around. Walls had scruff marks on them and needed touching up or repainting. There is a slot for tissues, but none were there. There is a distinct place for the mini fridge on the floor next to the sink but yet found it in a large door of the dresser. Very odd. Rooms really need some more intense upkeep especially for the price that was paid for the room. Expected a far nicer and cleaner room for the money. Devamı

The room was very nice and the staff was really friendly and courteous. Location was also good especially if you wanted to do some shopping.

The room smelled like smoke, even though it was a smoke-free room. The bottom of our tub was stained pink, two lights were burnt out in the light fixutures out of 3 total light fixtures in the room, and we had no tissues. We decided to let management know in the morning, and they didn't fix the lighting problem the second night.

Extremely satisfied with this hotel, staff and the location. Everything was better than expected. I would definitelly recomend it to anyone. Thanks.
