Rooms are too small. Way different than expected

I read some reviews before the trip and I was scare. They talked about the dangers of the hotel's neighborhood, they were completely wrong. The hotel is locate in a safe area. My room was great, the beds and pillows (4 in each bed) were very comfortable. Good quality bath products. A big flat screen TV with all kind of channels (Direct TV). Free and […] fast internet connection. The (free) breakfast was good, juices, cereals, waffles, sausage, eggs, tea, breads. The problem was that it is far for my destination, and I didn't have a car. The train didn't pass thru the hotel. You have to take bus #38 (a block walking distance) to go to the train station. Do not take the train in the Gun Hill Station (is located in a danger neighborhood), use next station I think is Crown Hill Station. It is not near the Yankee Stadium, you have to take the bus and 2 train tranfers. Devamı

Despite the fact that the hotel was located in the Bronx, the surrounding neighbourhood was nice. The hotel was clean, the staff were friend especially one of the ladies that manned the breakfast area in the C-lounge. Our room was clean and adequately sized for 4 adult people. My only complaint would be the parking. There are not a lot of parking spots […] and the spots that they had were angled strangely and were tight. The hotel should look into purchasing some of the land behind it and extend the parking lot. Devamı

The outside of the building is not appealing to the eye, however, the rooms are updated with flat screens TVs, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is okay. Overall, not a bad room, perfect for a weekend stay.

I chose this hotel after reading some of the other reviews. I would agree that it was fairly easy to access the city - I took the midtown bus in and the 5 train back. However the subway stop and hotel didn't feel within safe walking distance upon my return from the city but a convenience store was nearby from which I called a cab after asking the clerk […] for a number and the friendly driver (Loraine I think) drove me back to the hotel (it was after midnight at this point). If I were to stay again, which I might because I did like the easy access to 95 and the comfortable bed, and the free parking lot, I would call from the 5 train on my return trip and have the driver waiting for me at the station. One note that the express bus to midtown requires 5.50 in coins or a metrocard - no dollar bills. Other than that I will say that the bed was more comfortable than most although I recommend ear plugs if you are not used to traffic noise. Devamı

This is my go-to hotel when I am in the area on business. The poeple are friendly, the neighborhood is safe. There are places to eat nearby and it is just a bus trip to the subway station.Bronx is not the easiest place to spend the night!

The Hotel staff was excellent in explaining the services and the accomodations for our vehicle was great! Highly impressed by the design in the room and comfortability of the room. Felt like my home away from home. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends.

The people at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean. The breakfast room was spotless and the breakfast was lovely. The young lady in the breakfast room was very friendly and very helpful. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I was a little reluctant to stay here after reading some of the reviews, but Bronx hotels are hard to find so I took a chance. I am glad I did. The place was acceptable, the neighborhood was fine. I wish there were restaurants closer but that can't be helped. It took just a subway and a bus ride quite easy at that, to get to the hotel from Grand Central. […] The breakfast was good, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you like to share a hotel with "ladies of the night" and their clients, this is for you.

When looking for a room online i really liked this hotel because of the jacuzzi in the pictures. I called to double check that all the rooms come this way and they said yes they do. However upon arriving the room they gave us had a regular bath tub and they said you have to pay extra for a jacuzzi. We had to pay and upgrade charge. I was not happy but […] wanted to enjoy my time in NY but would not stay there again. Devamı

Great guy in the reception( older guy) who smiled and told me where the extra parking lot is, gave me matches and briefed me about the hotel stuff.. great waffle lady in the breakfast room... will deifinitely go back..

While our room was clean and comfortable, the outside of the hotel was a bit scary. In fairness, they were renovating but if we were staying longer than the one night we would have changed hotels. My husband opened the curtains first thing in the morning and there was a worker on a ladder right outside our window.

The room was clean and spacious. Friendly staff at front desk. Good breakfast! The only issue is small parking lot.

We started the air in our room, and withing 2 minutes it turned itself off. We tried several times to restart it and kept getting the same result. When we asked the employee at the front desk about it, we were told that it would turn on and off as the temperature in the room evened out. The only problem was that we could hear our upstairs neighbors […] air remained running throughout the whole night! We were lied to, and the situation was not fixed. We checked out the next day. WE INJOY STAYING THERE IT WAS CLEAN. STAFF WAS GOOD. WILL RECOMMAND .

For the price, the hotel room was better than expected - updated and very clean. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The only downside was the neighborhood as we heard loud fighting and crying till 5am the next day. I guess we can chalk that up to the experience of the Bronx. The only thing I did not like is that you have to step up to get into […] the bathroom which caused me to hit my foot on the marble tile. Devamı

despite what it may look like on outside ...its not that bad just location may not be so favorable and the looks of the building could be upgraded. the inside is very modern and up to my expectations for a hotel in the bronx.it was very clean and quiet and the breakfast was more than i expected! WILL REVISIT

The rooms are clean - the amenities all in place. But their cable provider is Cablevision - they should definitely update to Verizon Fios. We didn't have the option of purchasing pay per view movies (all channels are blocked), insufficient on site parking and not close to any eateries (unless you know your way around and want to take a half hour dr […] ive). It was a last minute booking and the room was fine except it was one that smoking was allowed. The hotel was located in a bad area but we did not know that. However, there was parking on site and so the neighborhood was not a factor in our stay. Everything else was very nice and I was suprised because of the outside appearance, but this was the Bronx […] so what could one expect after all. But Ramada did as much as they could possibly do in this location and for that I am grateful. All in all I cannot criticize this stay for we needed to be in this area and this was perhaps the best the Bronx had to offer. So thank you for that. Devamı

My wife and I stood one night. During that night, we were well taken care off. The check in personnel was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and breakfast was good and fresh. I definitley recommend this hotel.

Willie and other hotel staff where great. Breakfast was awesome. Hallways and oval room very clean. Lady at oval room helping with breakfast was a doll. Bedroom well vacuumed. 2cnd day of stay i noticed covers had a big stain (not caused by us). We decided to have sheets changed. SO we put the sign on the bed so they could be. We came back room was […] cleaned but brown cover was still there with stain. I have to say that was very dissapointing. ALso should consider having a microwave in rooms. Devamı

Staff was helpful, Breakfast fresh and really good, and Room was great for price in NY. Very Clean

Fue buena pero en las fotos q enseña en la internet aparece q las abitaciones tienen yacuzi y por eso Pence q ese era el motivo de q el precio fuera tan alto.

El hotel es muy acogedor, tranquilo y limpio. La transportacion para otros lugares de NY fue muy accesible desde las cercanias del hotel. Mi unica recomendacion seria que colocaran extractores para el olor a cigarrillo en las habitaciones. Gracias por su estancia.

Tres belle chambre spacieuse et confortable. Belle et grande salle de bain avec baignoire jacuzzi. Parking securise a l'arriere de l'hotel. Proche des sites d'interet du Bronx comme le Zoo par exemple. Excellent petit-dejeuner varie et copieux. Personnel agreable et serviable.

Avons eu une chambre fumeur alors que la réservation était non fumeur. sinon difficile de juger du reste ( arrivée à 3h00 du matin pour un départ le lendemain à 8h00)
