despite calling 6 hours ahead of arrival to advise of late arrival (around midnight) did not receive non-smoking room. Room turned out to be OK, but hallways and lobby had strong odors.

The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. All of the appliances worked. I did not intend to use the kitchen, but a convenience store was only a 1/2 block away and that made breakfast cheap & easy. It is walking distance to the LVCC (7/8 mile). The first room had a noisy fridge and it was missing some dishes and cutlery. The second room did not have a TV remote and, after borrowing a remote from the first room, we discovered that the TV did not work properly. No trash cans, no shampoo and no 24 hour front desk!

Reasonable room rates, very friendly staff, and not too far off the strip. We were there for a sports tournament so it was perfect for our needs. Easy access in and out of the hotel. Only downside was that the front desk was closed from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

I'm a pushover, but the room infuriated me. It cost extra to have a clean room and the smoking rooms have no air purifiers. I booked cheaper and figured if it was unclean I'd upgrade. We booked quickly do to a family emergency at 11:40pm. We were told the hotel was booked up and we couldn't upgrade for both nights. So we decided to suck it up. I've […] been in four hotels smoking rooms. All were clean and Smoke smelling free. This room had so much smoke our eyes were burning. The bed was so old the springs were felt all night. Both my mom and I hurt so bad the next morning we both had to go get ibuprofen. Mind you neither of us have back or neck problems. The next morning I was so upset I checked us out. I told the clerk and her manager I was treated kindly, but the room was unexceptable. That's when one of the maids told me the matress was due to be changed soon and the manager told me he could charge us for an upgraded room for the second night we were told was over booked. By then I was infuriated. I told the manager I didn't appreciate not being told that the night before, I should have to overpay for a clean room, and apologetically told him we wouldn't stay ever again. I hope others didn't have the same experience. Our stay was unexceptable especially when we drove 8 hrs to a grandparent in the hospital. I stay in 2 to 4 hotels a year in the last 10 years. This is the worst room and I've only been unhappy w/ my room twice in those 10 years. Sorry for those who have family at Sunrise Hospital, but my advise is to stay on the strip it's only 2miles away and the rooms are cheaper and more pleasant. New York new York, rio, best western, have all been clean that I've stayed in before in Las Vegas. Devamı

the good part was, very close to the strip, local grocery shops, target, vons etc, the hotel is clean and no stinks. the bad part : they dont clean the hotel unless you stay more than a week, you get to exchange the towels, but you need to cary your towel yourself to the office and they count and exchange, really pathetic way. they could drop new towels […] every morning and I would give them 5 out of 5. we were unlucky that one of the two mattresses were very old and sinking. had a very pleasant stay. front office was friendly and always asked if they could be of any assistance in making my stay even more pleasant. Was in town for the SEMA show, I was just a mile or so from the Convention Center. The Homestead is on my list of where to stay on return visits .

Was a quite hotel and rate was good

Reserved two rooms one smoking and one non, they switched who was in which room and I got nailed with a $150 charge! Stayed one night and woke up to the place being surrounded by cops!

Comfortable and quiet!!!

The area is alright, I would not walk alone, especially at night. It is very close to the hospital and Steinberg Diagnostic Imaging center. Staff was very nice and super helpful. The room was clean and the kitchenette was so wonderful. Has a place setting for 2. Great hotel.

this hotel is nice... near boulevard mall....it does not have a pool or a fitness center.....but it has a laundry room...

My girlfriend and I used this hotel for an overnight stay while traveling cross-country from Chicago to California. While the room was decent, the hotel dinged my girlfriend with a $150 charge for smoking in our room. We SPECIFICALLY asked for a NON-SMOKING room because my girlfriend and I are NOT smokers. It took over a week for the Manager to finally […] return our phone call and when she finally revealed what the charge was for, got very beligerent and accused us of smoking while giving us no help whatsoever after we explained there wasa no way that it was us that smoked in our room. Without this charge, I may have recommended this hotel is someone was hard up for a room for the night. However, the fact that we WERE charged and that the Manager did nothing to assist with the matter shows a lack of Managerial skills and that will trickle down to problems and issues in other places. The rate of the hotel was what predominately caught my eye. My friend and I were only staying for one night and the location was convenient to other stores but the services of the hotel were lacking. You had to pay for internet, and there was just a pantry for foods for the residents and only available if there was an attendant present. The room served […] my purposes for the one night I stayed and there was a Denny's in walking distance that gave a discount if you showed your room key. I wouldn't suggest staying for long periods of time unless you want to pay for internet or have your own and don't mind having just a Target to shop at. I thought this hotel was very clean and the employees were very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early and had a great stay. The only downside was the mattresses were a bit too soft for my back but otherwise everything else was great. This room has a nice kitchen area with a 2 burner stovetop, microwave full-size refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, one frying pan and one small covered saucepan, and 2 ea of dishes and silverware. There is no table, but the counter makes an L with two stools to eat at. We were traveling for my husband's business, and this made it nice to have breakfast […] of our own making, and also putting together a quick dinner when we didn't want to go out. It is close enough to both a Smith's and Albertston's -- fairly hefty walk, and we used our roller backpack to bring back groceries, but not too bad, others might want to take a cab though. The internet was abysmal! It would not load Google maps, so I did a test of downloading iTunes to check the overall speed.... 8 kbps! That might be wireless internet, but it is NOT high speed. After dealing with their tech support, and putting in some customized settings, it went all the way up to 19-23 kbps... but at least Google maps finally loaded, though it was useless for watching Netflix. The room was reasonably clean, the beds were a bit firm, but otherwise fine. We weren't expecting the Ritz, so it was fine... the slow internet was the main problem. Devamı

The hotel equaled my expectations. The grounds and parking were easy to navigate. An old photo showed a pool, which is not there. It was listed as an extended stay and had a picnic area out back with tables and BBQ. The staff was helpful and plesant. Great hotel for business in Vegas

This hotel is great if you're looking for an inexpensive, quiet place to sleep that's really convenient to the Strip or convention center. My room was clean and neat, and came with a fridge, microwave, stove top, coffee maker, and all the plates and pots and utensils I'd need to use them. I was only there for one night, but had I been staying longer […] I would have used these facilities so I wouldn't have had to eat out the whole time. Also wanted to mention that despite being right across from the hospital, I only heard one siren. Would not have known there was even a hospital there if I hadn't seen it. It doesn't give you what's I've heard termed as "the Vegas experience", but as I personally intensely dislike this "experience"; last time I stayed in Vegas it was at one of the casinos on the strip, and I had a horrible time (from the nosy room and expensive dining to the valet-only parking). I'd much rather stay somewhere like Homestead, that's out of the way and yet still close to everything, where I can come and go as I please, and have the option to eat in without breaking the bank. Only complaint was the bed was really squeaky - comfy, but squeaky. Fortunately I was so tired after the show I went to see that I don't think I moved all night, so it wasn't really a problem. The Homestead was in a great location; just off the strip, close to shopping and places to eat. The hotel staff were not available after 11pm, but you don't really need them then. The air conditioner was working, but kept making loud noises, so they put in a maintenance request to fix it. Overall, the stay was worth the money you pay and the great  […] location! Devamı

Do not stay there!!!!!

Everything was fine, except for the noice of the A/C was making.

I was not sure what to expect when booking this hotel. I made the reservation at the very last minute. This was a business trip so I didn't want to stay on the "strip", so I took a chance and booked this room. I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Very clean and landscaping neat looking.
