Hampton Inn Times Square North - New York

Went up during Broadway week to see Stickfly (48th and broadway). Parking lot right next to the hotel. Car valet parked. Room ready early. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. This is a good value for the money. Paid for parking not sure what that was all about. Still had to pay the parking lot and the hotedl refunded my money after […] I paid. I suggest you inquire about the "parking discount" in advance. If rate is discounted anyway, do not see the point of paying in advance. Only thing I would add is a small frig in the room. Devamı

This will read like many reviews before it. We selected this property based on location and pricing that appeared to be a good value. What we didn't expect were: a quiet room without street noise (this is NYC!), a large room with sitting area and desk (again, this is NYC!), 24-hour coffee in the lobby that was above average, and a full breakfast with […] plenty of options for everyone. The breakfast alone is worth $10 by NYC standards. What may make this review different is the desire to acknowledge the breakfast staff and bell hop. As other reviewers note, if you get to the breakfast room after 8, you're looking at long lines. The breakfast staff...Dennis, Geraldine, Iris, Luis and Steven ... made food service look easy. They handled the multi-lingual, at times pushy, crowd courteously, offering smiles and assistance. They replenished all food, drink, utensils and condiments well before any ran out which kept the line moving. They also found time to clean the tables as necessary to accommodate new guests. It really was impressive. When we claimed our checked bags after running a few last errands prior to leaving for the airport, Albert, the bell hop, helped us to the taxi which you could argue is his job. His kind words about valuing our stay and wishes for a speedy return are not. That's what made him different and worthy of a shout out too. This hotel is run well. This hotel was easy to get in and out of. Great to have tea and coffee ready all the time. Everyone was friendly and this place is close to EVERYTHING!!

The location of this hotel was very good. The staff was friendly and the room was very nice. At night you could hear people talking but we were so tired it didn't bother us. The only thing we could complain about was the breakfast. Scrambled eggs was far too dry and didn't taste very nice and the rest of the hot items were not so good. They did have […] toast, bagels, fresh fruit cereal and fruit salad so you could get something to start you off. All in all we were very happy with our stay and will definitely stay here again. Good for the money. A slight gym-like order just as entered door to room (my husband couldn't smell it) which is near he bathrroom. Howevver, everything looked clean.

Had a great stay. Only complaint was that breakfast area is mobbed between 9-10 on weekends. We once left and the second day we took the food to our rooms. Oterwise a great reasonably priced place for New York.

The hotel itself was nicely located within walking distance to Times Square, the various theaters, Rockefeller Plaza, Radio City Music Hall, etc. The street noise was minimal, the room was clean and comfortable and size better than most NY hotels. The breakfast had a nice choice of hot and cold selections, coffee & tea were available 24/7, the personnel […] all seemed friendly and helpful. It's not the "fanciest" place in town but I would definately recommend for location, price and breakfast. Our second stay there is less than a year. We hope to return again later this year. Excellent location, friendly customer service at a competitive price.

Overall the our stay was ok. The bathroom tub had hair in it. The soda machine didn't take credit cards. There is a $35 per night incidental fee charged to the credit which wasn't mentioned in the booking and we prepaid for parking with the reservation, yet we're told we ha to pay again at the lot bring in the receipt to be reimbursed which would work […] out to be paying for parking twice. Overall it was a comfortable stay; yet the parking issue and lack of upgraded amenities will lead me to look for another hotel when we come back. Devamı

Got a great rate for a one night stay. The staff was helpful and professional. The hotel is in a convenient location to the Theater District, with 24 hour pharmacies just down the street, and the subway nearby. Biggest rooms of the 3 hotels I have used in NYC. Great staff and Starbucks right around the corner and Cosmic Diner (24 hours) on the corner. You can't go wrong with this location if you are seeing a show or need to be near Time Square.

Clean,quiet,comfortable. A little expensive when we went but no more than surrounding hotels and much nicer.I thought the tub/shower area could use some clean caulk,it was the only area that didn't look perfectly clean in the whole place.Would still recommend though and go back myself too.

Located close to Times Square, restaurant row, and theaters, this Hampton Inn provides the comfort and cleanliness we have come to expect from the chain. The staff was helpful and calm in spite of the Christmas crowd of check-ins and check-outs. Breakfast was a bit of a wait because of the crowd but the food was kept neatly presented and fresh.

I travelled to New York for my birthday. The Hampton Inn Norh was recommended by my co-worker. I'm glad I took her advice. The hotel was perfect. The staff were very courteous and helpful. I needed to fax my paper work and need a document e-mailed to me. with no problems at all, they accommodate all of my needs. The breakfast was great. There is no where else in Midtown Mahattan that you can get this quality of hotel (with a hot breakfast) for the low price you pay. I have stayed in over 12 midtown hotels over the course of 15 years. This hotel is NOW my number 1 choice

My wife and I went to NYC/Manhattan for our first time ever to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary! The Hampton Inn Times Square North hotel was an incredibly convenient location to experience the amazing sights in central Manhattan, VERY EASY walking distance to ALL broadway shows (we saw three), 5 minute walk to Central Park, 8 minute walk to Times […] Square, 7-8 minute walk to Rockefeller Center, and even a 25 minute walk to the Empire State Building. A very convenient Subway stop is less than a block away. There were numerous good and reasonably affordable restaurants close to the hotel. Do be aware that as you get closer to Times Square, the cost of eating a meal increases significantly (the McDonald's on Times Square being the great exception). Excellent $1.00 to $2.50 pizza slices abound a couple of blocks from Times Square for a quick snack or lunch, the Majestic Deli is excellentfor a quick lunch or late night snack, FANTASTIC Chinese food in Chinatown (try Joe's Shanghai on Pell St. south of Canal St. - take a Subway or cab). MoMA, Saks Fifth Avenue, and St. Patrick's Cathedral are all within EASY walking distance. The Hampton Inn Times Square North was staffed with some of the kindest people we have ever met! The coffee, available 24 hours a day, was excellent and rivalled any coffee shop where you pay excessive amounts for similar quality. The complimentary breakfast was good and fresh, although the wait could be maybe 5-6 minutes to reach the food on a busy morning. Just grab a cup of coffee first and enjoy the wait and talking to the people waiting in line with you! Do be prompt to arrive to the breakfast room before 10:00 AM as the doors are closed promptly at 10:00 AM. A quick sack breakfst is available at the front desk for a grab-and-go breakfast if you're on the run. The hotel staff were extremely helpful in givng advice regarding transportation, broadway shows, etc., that someone visiting NYC for the first time would be wise to seek. Our room wa Devamı

The Hotel location was perfect for our first trip to NYC. Our room was spacious, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice little breakfast in morning helped start our day. We would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was clean and a 10 minute walk to Times Square. They provided a good breakfast with much more selection then most continental breakfasts. Parking was right next door. Rooms were clean and well maintained. We were on the 3rd floor facing 8 th avenue and did not hear traffic noise at night. The location was perfect for theatre goers, just a few minutes from any of the wonderful shows. Short walking distance from Broadway & Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, shopping on 5th Avenue. Subway around the corner going straight downtown to Ground Zero. I wasn't sure what to expect when visiting New York, but this hotel was a really good location. In addition, when I told them it was my friend's anniversary, they gave some wine and chocolate in the room. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience.

A comfortable and very large room by NYC standards; I especially appreciated the free Wi-Fi (other hotels in the area should take note). Very helpful staff. Location is convenient to the theater district, Lincoln Center, shopping, and transportation. My husband, daughter & I always stay here--we came in March as well--nice staff and close to all the shows, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, Central Park, etc. Hotels.com has fixed its former flaws as far as I can tell. Excellent location, very close to Times Square and Subway stations, yet located in a more (relatively) quiet area. Also walking distance to Central Park. Very good service and big comfortable rooms. Can sleep 4 comfortably, but they allow only 3. Be early for breakfast (before 8 is ok) else the queue can be long. Yes breakfast is in the price. Only […] thing they do not provide is drinking water in the rooms, altho there is 24 hours hot water/coffee/tea in the lobby and ice machine on every floor. Wifi is free (which in NY is not normal). the king sized bed in the room needs to be updated. it slopes towards the middle, therefore it was not a comfortable nights sleep. on a positive note the rooms were very clean and the staff was very accommodating. I certainly would stay there again, this time making sure the mattress's are new and not so uncomfortable.

Stayed here for 4 nights recently over Christmas. Hotel is beautifully presented with some of the friendliest staff you will ever find. Front desk, bellhops, concierge (April) and even security guards (Cole) were all a delight to deal with. Rooms were spacious for NYC. Food is very average with fruit tasting like it was canned. some fabulous food outlets are nearby and recommend the thai restaurant just across on 51st. Staying here made NYC truely a walking city. EVERYTHING was close by. My wife and I watched a few broadway shows and it was so convenient. Wicked (Gershwin Theatre) is literally around the corner from the Inn. An easy stroll to fifth avenue for shopping, or walk north to opera/ballet. Central park is also very close. It was a $10 cab ride to the Guggenheim and Metropolitan museum. Recommend buying fastpass tickets to these from the concierge, literally saved hours of waiting in line. A.C.E 50th Metro station is just outside the hotel taking you downtown/brooklyn. If you want a hotel with excellent service, good value and close to time square but not so close that you are disturbed by the noise and lights, Hampton Inn is the place for you. Devamı

Comfortable stay in new york very affordable..bed was comfortable modern furniture def recommend this hotel to stay in new york by times square lots of restaurants right by the theatres and a great breakfast.

We only stayed 2 nights but everything went very well. The free breakfast is very good but there was a long line Christmas morning. The staff handled it very well. Monday when we checked out early, they had bags with breakfast items ready to take with us. Very convenient. Two subway entrances close by so we didn't have far to walk.
