It is a hampton Inn and looks like it. Maybe a little old but definitely clean and great location to walk to theaters and midtown. Not sure i would vacation there but for business it totally works

It was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do and see. The staff was extremly friendly and helpful to us as it was our forst time visiting NYC. They help made our trip even more enjoyable

I chose this hotel because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. After I checked in on the 3rd Floor, I discovered that many rooms were habitated by what I guessed were conventioneers -- many slammings of doors, loud talking in hallways, and parties in several rooms. This looked as if it would continue throughout the night, so I contacted Front Desk […] staff who gave me an extremely quiet room on the 11th. Floor. What could have been a disaster turned out well! I was impressed with the hotel. Rooms were very spacious and clean and the location was perfect. Staff was excellent and the free breakfast was very nice. Will stay there again.

+ we stayed here for 3 nights.. + Short of staying right in the middle of times square, its the best location....10 min walk from times square... + diner across the street open 24 hrs and delivers at your room for orders of $10!! (Cosmic Diner) + Subway next door + Rite aid next door + Cabs at the door front + rooms one of the best ive stayed in..probably […] one of the best in town regardless of the rate - would have stayed at the hotels right in the middle of times square if i could afford $500 or $1000 per night...in short no negatives for this one. Tip: ask for late checkout till around 2pm...make the most of your time in square. - Take the condo tour and get $115 cash if you could spare 90mins of your time for their sales pitch..we took the 8:30am appt. Location is perfect for seeing shows and hanging out in Times Square! This is the 2nd time I have taken a group of students there and plan to return!

not too fancy, but clean, friendly staff and great location. good deal. breakfast is pretty good, but crowded.

Location, location, location - excellent Telephone voice mail service was out of order One day, the bed was not properly made. Breakfast was okay, but the eggs were awful Concierge service was provided by a man and a woman on alternate days. The latter was very poor.

The hotel was great. It was clean, and up to date. The breakfast was an added plus.

This is one of my favorite NYC hotels. The rooms are spotless and quite large for a NY hotel. The queen bed was extremely comfortable. There was even a fold-out couch, a coffee table and a coffee maker. The staff was extremely friendly. You can walk to all of the Broadway Theatres and many attractions including the Radio City Music Hall, David Letterman […] Show and NBC. There is a free breakfast in the lobby every morning, however I did not take advantage of that. The hotel is fairly small but very big on comfort and convenience! It will always be my first choice when coming back to NYC. Devamı

I stayed here for five nights as part of my business trip. The hotel is well located, close to New York's theater district. Times Square and Rockefeller Center Plaza are also within a reasonable walking distance. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and polite. The room was spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. Nice hotel overall.

I just enjoyed a multi-night stay at the Hampton Inn at 51st and 8th Avenue in the Theater District of NYC. My stay was perfect in all respects. First of all, the staff is exceedingly friendly and provided guidance to shows, restaurants, directions, anything I asked. The value of the hot breakfast can hardly be measured given the prices you would pay […] otherwise. Not only was the food good, but the quantity and variety were excellent as well. Eggs, waffles, cooked oatmeal (not instant), bagels (naturally, we were in New York), muffins, fruit, coffee, tea, hot chocolate (beverages all 24/7). My room was clean and comfortable, overlooking the street, but still quiet. I will stay here again in a heartbeat. My convention was only 2-3 blocks away and the subway stop is right there too. I took the train to New York so everything was very convenient. One of the best experiences ever, but I actually count on that at a Hampton Inn! Devamı

A great smaller hotel. Very relaxed, quiet rooms. friendly staff. The location could hardly be better for the Theater District or mid-town attractions.

This hotel is new, clean, and in a fantastic midtown location. Based on those qualities, I would have expected to pay much more, but I actually spent roughly the same as what I have paid in smaller cities or for much dingier hotels in Manhattan. I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. The WiFi access was a little spotty at times, but that […] was easily resolved. I traveled for business as a single woman and felt completely safe walking to my destinations, including dinner in Times Square both nights. This hotel was everything that i was looking for clean and large room queen size bed great location friendly staffs,i will recommend this hotel to any one.

The room was large by NYC standards; the beds were comfy; the walls are a little on the thin side; breakfast was okay; staff members were polite and helpful; and the location was convenient.

Close to theaters,central park and everything you can think of for plays ,shopping and sight seeing

A great place to stay - clean, 24/7 coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, well located, friendly staff. And at an affordable price. Only down side is the small breakfast room, but we were still able to find a seat.

Stayed in a number of hotels in NYC over the years. First time at Hampton Inn...they have a pretty full breakfast included in the cost and it was healthy and good. Can't beat location and the two queen sized bedroom was nicely done and roomy. Highly recommned the hotel.

A nice quiet hotel, with a friendly staff. Creature comforts are taken care of well. Nice breakfast. Location is excellent for all things between Central Park and really down to Empire State Bld. at 34th St. Times Sq. is an easy walk from the hotel. Lots of reasonable restaurants are nearby.

We were satisfied with the overall quality of the hotel - staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great for shopping and the theater. I would have liked a fridge in the room for more convenience. The free breakfast was good with plenty of choices and helped reduce our cost a little. We did ask for adjoining rooms for our daughter and her friend […] but the hotel did not fulfill this request even though our room had a door which led to an adjoining room. Otherwise, we were satisfied with the hotel. Rooms were clean and recently updated and beds were comfy. Devamı

This was a great location for my wife and our two grandsons. Two queen beds was a plus. Staff was friendly and the price was reasonable.

This hotel is perfect for your stay in NYC. The staff was friendly and helpful. They let us check in early which was amazing. The location is perfect to see the major tourist sites as well as catch the subway to places all over the city. Clean rooms. Great breakfast. Free Internet. Absolutely perfect!

The hotel was amzing and very nice and clean. The breakfast was so good and wonderful. The service was great and the location was very convenient and right by Times Square!! Overall, great place to stay

Went up during Broadway week to see Stickfly (48th and broadway). Parking lot right next to the hotel. Car valet parked. Room ready early. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. This is a good value for the money. Paid for parking not sure what that was all about. Still had to pay the parking lot and the hotedl refunded my money after […] I paid. I suggest you inquire about the "parking discount" in advance. If rate is discounted anyway, do not see the point of paying in advance. Only thing I would add is a small frig in the room. Devamı

This will read like many reviews before it. We selected this property based on location and pricing that appeared to be a good value. What we didn't expect were: a quiet room without street noise (this is NYC!), a large room with sitting area and desk (again, this is NYC!), 24-hour coffee in the lobby that was above average, and a full breakfast with […] plenty of options for everyone. The breakfast alone is worth $10 by NYC standards. What may make this review different is the desire to acknowledge the breakfast staff and bell hop. As other reviewers note, if you get to the breakfast room after 8, you're looking at long lines. The breakfast staff...Dennis, Geraldine, Iris, Luis and Steven ... made food service look easy. They handled the multi-lingual, at times pushy, crowd courteously, offering smiles and assistance. They replenished all food, drink, utensils and condiments well before any ran out which kept the line moving. They also found time to clean the tables as necessary to accommodate new guests. It really was impressive. When we claimed our checked bags after running a few last errands prior to leaving for the airport, Albert, the bell hop, helped us to the taxi which you could argue is his job. His kind words about valuing our stay and wishes for a speedy return are not. That's what made him different and worthy of a shout out too. This hotel is run well. This hotel was easy to get in and out of. Great to have tea and coffee ready all the time. Everyone was friendly and this place is close to EVERYTHING!!

The location of this hotel was very good. The staff was friendly and the room was very nice. At night you could hear people talking but we were so tired it didn't bother us. The only thing we could complain about was the breakfast. Scrambled eggs was far too dry and didn't taste very nice and the rest of the hot items were not so good. They did have […] toast, bagels, fresh fruit cereal and fruit salad so you could get something to start you off. All in all we were very happy with our stay and will definitely stay here again. Good for the money. A slight gym-like order just as entered door to room (my husband couldn't smell it) which is near he bathrroom. Howevver, everything looked clean.

Had a great stay. Only complaint was that breakfast area is mobbed between 9-10 on weekends. We once left and the second day we took the food to our rooms. Oterwise a great reasonably priced place for New York.

The hotel itself was nicely located within walking distance to Times Square, the various theaters, Rockefeller Plaza, Radio City Music Hall, etc. The street noise was minimal, the room was clean and comfortable and size better than most NY hotels. The breakfast had a nice choice of hot and cold selections, coffee & tea were available 24/7, the personnel […] all seemed friendly and helpful. It's not the "fanciest" place in town but I would definately recommend for location, price and breakfast. I also recommend the Grey Line hop on/hop off bus tour if you've never seen NY and want not only transportation but some interesting facts, etc. Devamı

Our second stay there is less than a year. We hope to return again later this year. Excellent location, friendly customer service at a competitive price.
