Nice comfortable room, with great feather pillows. The Hotel lobby is impressive. The restaurant was surprisingly good as well and reasonably priced compared to other Miami Beach restaurants. Its cool to check out the Starlight ballroom on the top floor. Very satisfied with stay. Check in time was a little late but otherwise evrything else was top rate. Location and beach were excellent.. Would not hesitate to stay there next time.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, its in a prime location. My only complaint is that this hotel does require a face lift. The rooms are outdated., but clean.

The hotel is very nice. The amenities are very nice. The price for food and drinks is OUTRAGEOUS as well as HORRIBLE customer service. Reserved Crib for room and was told when checking in it would be right up. Called an hour or so later to check on it and was told they didn't have one. I called a manager and after about another hour or so one finally […] was delivered but at that point my 20 month old had had it and so had we. Customer service was HORRID. We had issues getting our luggage. We had issues at dinner one night. They sat our 10 top immediately but then it took us 15 - 20 minutes before anyone ask for a drink order then another 15 - 20 before they brought it. Several of our party didn't get what we ordered and when we tried to discuss with management they gave excuses and were really rude. Never again will we stay here. Devamı

The hotel was very clean and seemed more updated than what was described in other reviews I had read. The bath towels, pillows and mattresses were all great! Nice pool area and a couple of small bars (1 by the pool). The hotel is close to the beginning of the boardwalk. I would stay there again.

hotel is old, shabby, rooms need updating. valet parking too expensive.

Good value for a hotel on the beach... pool and beach access are great. Room is clean, but nothing fancy. Only complaints --(i) no safe in the room and (ii) attendant refused to give me an extra towel at the pool!

I was extremely disappointed by all the pool rules. My fiance had to go back to our room just to get the wrist band they give you just to walk across the pool deck which you must do to get to the gym. We did arrive at the hotel at noon and check in wasn't until 4. So we had to change into our bathing suits in public bathroom and keep our luggage with […] the bell hops. The room was clean and comfortable. The ac worked well but the ice machines never had ice. If they weren't so crazy with the pool rules I would probably stay here again. Devamı

This hotel is terrible. Its in the middle of Miami Beach area. The traffic to get to the hotel is just unbelievable. Once you get there, the valet service looks like a NASCAR pit stop. Too many cars coming in and going, too many teenagers posing and smoking in front of the hotel. The pool area is like just run down. The elevators are very dirty. The […] beds are lumpy and old. The wall papers are torn in several corners corners of the room. One cable wire is sticking out of the wall in the middle of nowhere. The bathroom is disgusting with one small light to light the whole bathroom and shower. It was a terrible experience. Its old, run down, and was not maintained pretty well. We had a junior suite and the size was very impressive. It had 3 walk-in closets and plenty of room for luggage, clothes and hanging out. The food was good, particularly the breakfast buffet for $17/person. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were on the 4th floor, facing the main road so there was quite a bit of traffic noise (honking) that woke […] us up a lot. The hotel apparently does not have king-size fitted sheets. The first night, the bottom 12 inches of the mattress was just that - a mattress. The other four nights had two sheets stretched across the bed, yet not long enough to tuck in so we were both laying on the bare mattress by morning. They only provide one towel per person - both in the room and at the pool, even if you ask for more. They also will not let you take the pool towel into the hotel, so if you planned to take a trip to South Beach, you will need to pack your own towel. Speaking of South Beach, it is quite a distance, so you will either need a car or be prepared to spend quite a bit of money on taxi's. You are only allowed to valet park (at $28 per day), so waiting for your car at peak times can take a while. However, the valet staff was very pleasant. The hotel was nice, the pool area was clean and it is just a few steps from Miami Beach, so overall it was a good selection. But next time, I will upgrade to an ocean view on a high floor and pack some beach towels! Devamı

The hotel was too far from restaurants and stores but close to the beach. I really missed open hot tub and outside balconies.Not a great hotel for families with kids.

hotel was great, service was great, but the actual was removed from any miami beach or south beach activity (which was to be expected from the location). wished there was more located around the hotel, especially restaurants. expect to cab everywhere if you do not rent a car.

This hotel is too close to nightlife, very noisy. Room was very small and huge closet, tiny bathroom. Not very nice for the price. Lobby was pretty but room left a lot to be desired.

This hotel isn't worth the money. It's dated. Service is hit or miss. I haven't seen TVs like theirs outside of a retirement home. Paint is pealing around the windows. I checked out after the first night.

Can't beat the beach being right behind the hotel. Literally walking distance of a minute. We had bay view room which was nice. Got to see Downtown Miami on a clear day along with the bay view. The rooms could be a little updated. Walls were THIN! Rudy the valet guy was super cool! tip him well :)

bad service, very rude at the front desk and pool area. the place is run down, they advertise on the site that they have beach chairs... and you have to rent them. Would never stay there again

The hotel is a bit North of SoBe. This is a good thing during busy times. It is in the perfect spot to avoid traffic while trying to get to SoBe or Downtown. $10 cab rides. The pool area is awesome. The rooms were a bit dated, but we really did not spend much time in the room anyway.

I liked the private beach entrance for guests.

I recently stayed here with my 2 girlfriends for the weekend. We had called down to the concierge to find out if there were any good local restaurants that delivered to our hotel. We were given the phone number to a place whose phone had been disconnected! At this point we headed downstairs to talk directly to the concierge who then gave us a menu for […] another place. We went back upstairs and placed our order fine but I forgot to ask how long the order would take. So I called back within 10 minutes and simply asked how long it would take and the person who answered the phone became flustered, said our order had been canceled, and hung up on me! I called the concierge to complain and to finally just find out if there are any good restaurants in the area and he offered me the hotels room service! What a complete joke! The hotel was decent but if you aren't familiar with the area and are relying on the concierge to make suggestions... stay some place else! Devamı

This hotel is a JOKE. Where do I start? From the very beginning, the staff treats you like a child. Upon check-in, the person at the counter (let’s call them Alexandria) made sure we knew that only guests could use the facilities and that you needed a wristband to go to the pool/outdoor restaurant. A hotel with wristbands? What is this a Club night […] at LIV? Oh, you want to invite outside friends to come hang and eat by the pool? SORRY! No outside guests allowed. You’ll have to go to your friends’ hotels to swim, be social, and spend money. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend wasting time eating food here anyway. Our waiter (let’s call him Juan) brought us our drinks a cool 45 minutes after ordering breakfast. Thanks Juan! I really wanted to drink my coffee AFTER finishing my meal. Ahh what next? Oh you want a cot for your room? Sorry, we don’t do cots. A balcony? We’re the only hotel on the strip without them! And while we’re at it, don’t order any movies in your room, unless you wanna watch Moneyball on a 4 second sound delay. I couldn’t tell if Brad Pitt was doing calculus or if Jason Giambi was socking some dingers. As for the valet, they’re quick to charge you 28 bucks a day for parking, and even quicker to tell you “we don’t have your car” upon checking out. Obviously, my friend found his car in about .2 seconds. If you’re going to Miami for the weekend, just get a room in South Beach and be done with it. It’s much more A squad that way anyway. Devamı

Had massive problems With our stay, noise, unclean, poor in general!

Very nice and clean, super nice Hotel staff - I have no complaints about the service. I was there for work and it was during Spring Break so the location was perfect, I could pop down the SoBe in the evenings but enjoy the quiet of the Hotel for good night sleep. Food was delish! Honestly, this place was perfect. Four of us stayed in a couple of rooms here before and after a costume party at LIV, which is just a couple of blocks down the road. Check in was super fast, rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, and staff was very accommodating. Well done. We will be back.

I've stayed at The Miami Beach Resort approx. 4 times for its convenience, views, amenities both there and near by, its professional staff, cleanliness and comfort. If peace and tranquility is what your looking for, then this is your place. If you want a night life, no problem, its only moments away. No complaints from me. Thumbs up. Thank you

I travel to Miami yearly, and had never had the issue I had with this hotel! I had a cousin to to visit me, she was not allowed to walk through the pool area to get to the PUBLIC beach! The pool area was for "paying guests" only, even though I was a paying guest! They finally allowed her to walk through the pool area to the resturant outside, only is […] she purchased an item!! WHAT???!!!! I have NEVER heard of anything like this!!! The pool was nothing fancy, the food was unercooked and over priced at the hotel. There are no restuarants in walking distance. Never will I stay here again, treated horribly!! Devamı

This hotel has security guards insists you wear a plastic wrist band to go near the pool. They also insist on wearing shoes in the lobby and out to the pool. It's like having Nazzis at your vacation site. Never have I had to wear a wrist band at a hotel I stayed at nor have I had to wear shoes in the lobby and been scolded for not doing so.

This hotel is in a good location (about 2 miles from South Beach) and has their own private section of the beach. Although they do charge $10 for beach chairs, the pool is also nice with good food served at the poolside bar. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We were happy with this hotel for a one night stay and a day on the beach. It seemed like a good value compared to the other hotels on the beach. They have a ballroom on the 18th floor and our room was on the 17th. There was a wedding reception in the ballroom on the night of our stay and the music was very loud in our room. The hotel is right in front of beach, and the beach is not as crowded as the south beach, good for a family vacation. But there are not many restaurants or stores around, you have to drive around to find food, and only valet parking available in this hotel, you pay $28/day + tips for parking, expensive.

Also, they had booked a wedding party on the 18th floor. The base from the band was so loud our room shook until midnight. Very nice pool

The location was good and it had great access to the beach. Unfortunately, the hotel is in dire need of an update. The decor was extremely dated. There were brown stains on the furniture in the hotel room and the sheets did not cover the whole bed, thus, the matress pad and matress were exposed. The restaurant also offered mediocre food. We travel a lot but We were still wide eyed at the quality of the service and accommodations for the price. Location, location, location. Hotel-pool-cabana bar-ocean=great.

This medium sized hotel manages to maintain a boutique feel. The warm and personable staff was responsive to every question and request. Our room was large and airy. Great pool and easy beach access. Nearby hotels were at least twice as expensive. One important suggestion: there should be grab bars on the walls of the shower/tub. Very nice hotel with nice staff. You cannot take ANYTHING liquid to the pool which makes perfect sense because they want you to buy drinks from the bar. (The bar/restaurant is great but drinks and food are VERY expensive) They will not let you take your own cooler through the area to go to the beach. Instead you have to walk a couple of blocks with […] all your stuff to the public beach access then back to the hotel's beach area. Very inconvenient. The staff is not very friendly or helpful. The rooms on the Bay side are noisy. The windows do not block any of the noise from the busy street below and we were on the 15th floor. TV and phones were ancient. But the room was clean. Parking at the hotel is expensive $28 per day. The lobby is beautiful though a turn of the century masterpiece.

I loved this hotel.. the only thing i didnt like is that you needed to "Rent" beach chairs.. if i am staying in the hotel i should get a beach chair.. other than that the rooms were beautiful clean and the staff was wonderful to work with! thanks

When we checked into hotel, recieved valet parking ($28) a day, or told can park several blocks down street a public parking lot! Once checked in told no king beds available, but can call in the morning to check if had another room,"don't unpack"! Next morning we called inquired, told wait till after check out, gave our cell number to call us while […] out to breakfast, no call! Return to room 3:00 ask at front desk, told room is available but it's not clean yet, give them 10 minutes. We went to our room dressed for dinner, waited to hear back, called no room. We went to dinner, came back and was told they would check and call us??? This was our last night (my birthday weekend with my fiance) slept in double bed, extremely soft, sunken in middle, goose pillows too soft, next day we awoke with aches and pains from an uncomfortable bed. The front desk person on the phone was rude and not helpful. We keep our clothes packed in our suitcases the whole time expecting oto move to another room!! We were very disappointed, ruined our romantic birthday getaway! Devamı
