Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cleveland Downtown - Cleveland

We paid for staying at this "historical" Downtown Cleveland Holiday Inn hotel in advanced via Hotels.com and ended up being charged again by Holiday Inn for this stay. We did not get any bill at the time we checked out but two night charges were applied to my credit card the day after we left (... by the way we only stayed one night). It was not possible […] to contact anyone at this hotel to report this duplicated billing issue. After calling 216 443 1000 a dozen times, nobody answered the phone from Sunday thru Tuesday and no one replied my multiple voice mails. The response given by IHG Holiday Inn Guest Relations services was not any better: "Although we regret any inconvenience you have experienced, this hotel was not affiliated with IHG at the time of your stay and as such, we are unable to assist with your concerns.As many hotels are independently owned and operated, we are not always aware of when a franchised property changes ownership. Please be assured we have documented your comments in our corporate offices, where they will remain on file. You may also contact them at 216 443 1000." Great place to stay nice rooms close to everything shopping eating nightlife n movies.one thing the rooms can have a little nip in them at times.

WOW - very amazing room! Beautiful hardwood floors! So convenient to everywhere for an overnight stay in downtown! Breakfast was a little weak but not bad for free!

Stayed here a few times...and have enjoyed my stay both times...friendly staff...clean rooms...like the feel of an older motel/hotel... This is where I will stay when I visit Cleveland!

I was a little aprehensive to stay at this hotel since it looked a little older & had hardwoods in the room. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. I only stayed one night but couldn't ask for anything more from a hotel. It is not over the top but has everything you need. If you also like a hotel where you are not going to be bothered with a large […] lobby and a bunch of staff standing around this is a perfect place for you. The architecture of the hotel is not like any other. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. And it was within walking distance of all the bars downtown. My only complaint was the parking was not easy to find and not well explained ahead of time. Other than that the stay was great. Huge room with lots of pillows!

Our room was clean and extremely comfortable and beautiful. But the people working there were not very friendly, none of the ice machines worked, and they had given away the room i originally booked. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very spacious with high ceilings and hardwood floors. I especially liked to Jacuzzi being in the open. It made the room more fun! The hotel is in an excellent location but is completely anonymous. Probably a temporary reception desk but it is like walking into a company to announce your arrival. Breakfast is included but you would regret taking advantage of it.

I absolutely loved this Hotel! It was in the heart of the city and close to every sports venue, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and restaurants! Not to mention affordable and Great Hotel Staff!

The hotel is very old but attempts have been made to modernize it. Our room had very tall ceilings and wood floors, but the old windows didn't keep out the street noise very well. We slept with the tv on most of the night. Very close to the 4th street restaurants which was nice. quick check in and check out. spacious and very clean rooml definitely my first choice when revisiting cleveland. all personnel were very friendly and happy to assist.

My Family and I were skeptical at first about booking the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in downtown Cleveland, but we did any way and are really glad we did! The hotel is located in the building of the former National City Bank of Cleveland. It is in a really convenient location and near many of the sites we wanted to see, loved the city. We walked […] to all the sites we wanted to see. The rooms were quiet and clean. We just loved the hardwood floors! Parking was confusing, but once we figured it out wasn't bad. The hotel was affiliated with a parking garage that you could easily reach if you took a right out of the front door of the lobby, took a right at a light at the next intersection, then an immediate left into the entrance of the garage. The ticket for parking is validated by the hotel and you can leave and enter as you please with the hotel validating the parking. On checking out of the hotel, we were billed a flat fee for every night we stayed at the hotel and parked in the garage. Once we paid the fee at the front desk, we received a validated ticket for the garage that allowed us to drive out of the garage and leave. Devamı

We were visiting Cleveland for a couple of baseball games. The hotel location was excellent for that purpose, only a few blocks from Progressive Field. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The room was very large - perhaps even a bit too large: it needed a comfortable couch or lounge chair. Free breakfast and free internet access were nice […] additions. My fiance' and I stayed here two nights, Friday and Saturday July 29th and 30th for the Taylor Swift Concert. Location is awesome! Breakfast was not too bad but slow on refilling the buffet. The hallways lack a/c but my hugest complaint is the BED BUGS!! I have never been to a hotel and left looking like I had chicken pox! So for this reason I wish […] I would have booked one of the more expensive hotels and I give this hotel an F! We even had to worry about bringing them home with us and had to spray the bed down with off the second night. Had there not been bed bugs our stay would have been much better. Devamı

This hotel is older but is under renovation and the rooms are very large. The location is very close to many restaurants and other activities and I would definitely stay there again.

Of all the floors in this hotel, one ice machine worked, the one all the way on the 10th floor. Also couldn't control the temperature in the room.

Having never been to downtown Cleveland I was not sure where to stay but have stayed in a Holiday Inn Express in the past and was NOT at all disappointed. Staff was wonderful to deal with and very pleasant. Rooms were very clean - loved the hardwood floors. View from the room - beautiful. Hotel was located right i the theater district. Room is fairly large and floor has wood flooring. Good location. One thing is a parking lot. They say they give dicount but I had other parking with lower rates. Overall I will come back.

This hotel is in the middle of the city, with all the other big hotels. The hotel building was old but clean. Everything was working. Parking is $20 for one night. Hotel room was big enough. If you need a hotel downtown, that's it.

Stayed in this hotel while in Cleveland to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This hotel was easy to find, had interesting ambiance and great big rooms. At check out we were told that we needed to pay at the front desk and give the receipt to the attendant in the garage. After several nights spent in a string of boxy, look-alike Hampton Inns and Fairfield Inns, this hotel was a welcome change. Front desk is a bit oddly situated, but the building is a grand old downtown beauty, well maintained. Unbelievably busy when we arrived. took at least 30mins to check in, remote to tv wasnt working, asked for batteries, and still didnt work. Could not connect to the free wifi, tub was dirty, random (assuming) used straws in the room. no parking lot had to use parking garage across the street. the hotel "stamped" the parking card for us but then I was […] still charged $14! no ice, breakfast room had chairs with spots on them;and although the hotel was not nearly full, desk personnel placed a couple in a room next to ours--we thought the woman was being murdered, but then decided it was rough or emotional sex at 1 am. The woman at the desk told me that parking was $24 if I paid at the garage or $14 if I just paid her. I paid her the $14 then went to the deck, only to find that the deck had a daily maximum of $12...

We stayed there for a bachelorette party - the room was huge. In fact with the hard wood floors and the big open space, we could have had a dance party. The best part of the hotel was how convenient it was to all the night time activity. We were just two blocks from lots of different restaurants.

Huge room, comfortable bed, great location. Enjoyed the antique history of the building.

I spent the weekend at this hotel with a friend and was very satisfied. After hours of travel, I was exhausted and went to the hotel to see if there were any rooms available for early check in. I was very pleasantly accommodated and the room I checked in to was huge! There was enough space to do yoga, watch TV, sleep in the king sized bed, and press […] clothes with an ironing board all at the same time! My only qualm with the hotel was wall thickness. Trying to sleep in on weekend mornings was slightly difficult because doors, running, and talking could be heard very clearly from the hall and elevator waiting room. I stayed with my son for an Indians game and had a wonderful experience. These rooms are HUGE. The property is within walking distance of the stadium and night life. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

The accomodation was very good and surprizing. The hot tub were very clean. Room service were fast. also. I dont like parking garages but that the monster you have to contend with in downtown cleveland. Overall the hotel was excellent stay.

We arrived at check in time but told our room wasn't ready. So we walked around the neighborhood for 20 minutes. Upon our return we were told it still wasn't ready so we went o Starbucks for 30 more minutes. On our second return there were at least 12 families waiting in line to check in. It took another 1/2 hour to get to the front of the line, then […] they told me, they only had smoking rooms remaining. I declined and they told me it's be another hour for my room to be cleaned. All told I wasted 2 hours waiting on them to clean my room. Meanwhile the gate to their parking lot malfunctioned and broke And the poor receptionist had to field dozens of calls about this issue. She received at least 10 calls while trying to check me in. This just further added to the frustration for everyone. The few people that worked there were nice, but the hotel is obviously understaffed. Similar-sized hotels typically have 3-4 times as many receptionists plus additional staff to answer the phones . The housekeeping was well understaffed too as this was what was causing the whole delay. They were still cleaning rooms until after 6PM. It's a beautiful hotel in a nice area. But obvious that the owner is trying to cut corners and reduce costs. I will never stay there nor recommend this place unless they added sufficient staff. Devamı

I love holiday inn express and always know what I'm getting before I go. This was a very nontraditional holiday inn express! Not the cute, quaint, clean, big fluffy bed kind. This was a very old building, elevators are super old and tiny, check in is in a hallway, the room had a WINDOW INTO THE SHOWER?! But the room was very large, hard wood floors, […] nice view of the city. It wasn't not nice, it was just a strange experience. Not what I was expecting. They have removed the carpet from the room and have hard wood floors, which is great, especially for those with allergies or asthma. It was two blocks from House of Blues and right downtown. The room was spacious and the front desk staff were very friendly, I will definitely go back to this hotel.
