Destiny Palms Hotel Maingate West - Kissimmee

This was a brilliant place to stay. The rooms are on the smaller side but it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plain bagels, mini muffins, hard boiled eggs, cereal and juice. The room had a mini fridge and a toaster oven - this was very handy because the hotel is near a 7-eleven. I will definitely be staying again!

It Was A Nice Place , Room Was Small With A King sized Bed, We Would Be In The Area Parks So It Was Fine, The Usual Continental Breakfest Items, located Right in the middle of every place to eat, Has This Great Funky shower, something that looks like it should be on the space station

I decided to stay at this hotel to avoid the high prices for hotels by Disney but still wanted to be by Disney and this hotel was the perfect location.. The cleanliness of the room was good but i have stayed in alot better. I would recommended this room for people who are just trying to find a nice place to sleep then go to the theme parks. For an older hotel it very nice and the staff very pleasant. I typically don't sleep well on hotel beds but theirs were very comfortable. The room smelled a bit musty when we entered but kicked the AC on high before going out and enjoying the local area for the day and by the time we got back it wasn't bad at all and I have to deal with allergies. I'm […] not sure if the whole hotel is like this or just the rooms in our area but we only had a shower which was not a problem for us as we didn't have any children with us but those with younger children you may want to ask. The breakfast was basically continental with muffins, bagels and cereal but they did offer hard boiled eggs, pancakes and waffles also, I'm not a breakfast person so that was just fine by me though the coffee was really good though the dinning room was small. The hotel is located on the West side of Kissimmee and close to World Drive and I-4 so easy to get to Disney or shopping around town. All in all would I stay here again, if I had plans on that side of Kissimmee or Orlando I would look into staying here again, yes. Devamı

If you are looking for a safe, clean, affordable place to stay near Disney, this is the place! Beds are very comfortable, room is clean and the location is great. If you want a resort setting, you won't want to stay here. It is absolutely fine if you aren't planning to spend time at the hotel. We went to pick up sunscreen and other things we needed for our trip from Wal-Mart close to midnight and it was really REALLY busy. It was almost like Wal-mart was giving things away for free - there were so many people - AT MIDNIGHT. So this is definitely a busy and happening place. BREAKFAST COULD BE A LITTLE BETTER

Over all good. Shower not scrubbed well in corners esp. Some grunge...h. No Micro wave a disappointment though, oven convection toaster oven... very weird. You'll miss breakfast if not an early riser, wished it was open another hour at least. Very close to Disney, shops and resturant. Breakfast is included, although they are the same everyday and limited choice, but still OK. The only thing was the room has some ants walking around everyday! Overall it's very good!

Good hotel for the price. I heard on other reviews how friendly the staff was. The girl who checked us in wasn't very friendly but she may have been in training because everyone else including the manager were super nice. Hotel had been completely renovated recently. Staff was nice, room was a little small compared to other hotels, but was very comfortable and clean. Would recommend and stay here again.

Stayed here for a few days to visit Disney since it was pretty close to the parks. There is a McDonald's right outside the hotel and another place to at called Houlihan's (which I heard was pretty good) Easy to find the hotel if you find the big neon lighted Houlihan's since it's located right behind it. Quick check in, staff was friendly and never […] pushy. There are three floors so if you have a preference, you should mention it right when you walk up to the counter. The room is pretty small but if you are a couple, it's perfect since most of the time spent in a hotel is to just sleep and get ready. The bed is very big and comfy and great especially after walk hours on end in the hot Florida sun :D Breakfast is served from 6-9 so if you can, try and get something so you can hold off a bit in the parks. There is a vending machine on the first floor near the guide maps and ice and drink machine on the second floor. This hotel should be a last resort. You can find better. The front desk was not very inviting. She had an attitude with us. Wanted to argue on a few things concerning check in. Easy to get to WDW. About 15 min. away. Room was nice, hotel clean. Only complaints are the blanket (the kind that attracts and holds hair;ick) and toilet is quite loud. I was 2nd or 3rd room from the side door, so when people went in and out, it was a bit noisy. Staff was accommodating and personable. We have stayed in many hotels around Disney, and this was one of our favorites. There wasn't much room to eat breakfast, so I would suggest getting up early to avoid the bus crowd. I read the all reviews for this hotel, both good and bad, and had mixed reviews but decided to give it a try for our 3 day Disney vacation. My husband, 2 young daughters (5 yrs and 2 yrs) and myself stayed two nights the beginning of March 2012 and we were very pleasantly surprised. I was worried about the size of the shower because a few of the reviews mentioned there was no tub but it was very roomy. Each night upon returning from the Parks, our room was tidied up with fresh towels and the beds were made. We live 1 1/2 hours from Orlando and frequent the theme parks and we have definitely found our first choice for a cost-effective, yet clean hotel to stay. We stay here only because of the proximity to a family stay at the resort across the street. The condition and the cleaniless could be better. The continental breakfast is horrible. Cold cereal, fake muffins and thawed frozen waffles or pancakes. It was difficult to find tea or the hot water for it. No fruit, yogurt, granola. Only one otaster. The staff are very friendly and always making sure that your needs are fulfilled in a proper manner, the hotel is small, needs some improvement like the carpet, some of the walls needed a retouch, the size of the pool is really small, but overall the room was clean and the bed comfortable and it is located very closed to Disney and different choices […] of restaurants are close by. This is a good choice if you need a place to stay and do not want to pay much for your stay, it provides free breakfast and wifi, plenty of parking spaces available too. Our room was adequate. It was clean, a bit cramped, but OK for two. I'd rate it higher except the toilet wobbled on the floor... a point we reported to the front desk after check out.

This was a great hotel. You wouldn't think so from the outer appearance at a first look, but this hotel was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Staff is great, rooms are clean, and the manager is extremely friendly.

Location was perfect for us - we went to WDW on two days (15 min by car), Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay one day (75 min by car), and downtown Orlando one day (35 min by car). The hotel was very inside and out. Our room was very clean, cozy and quiet. Came with a mini fridge and a toaster oven. They were perfect since we wanted to save money by buying groceries […] at the nearby Wal-Mart (10 min by car) instead of eating out all the time. Staff behind the desk were friendly and helpful. They answered our questions regarding the amusement parks and they lent us a corkscrew to open a bottle of wine. The free breakfast is very good considering the cheap price at this hotel. Every morning from 6-9 they had pancakes, waffles hard boiled eggs, plain bagels, mini-muffins, cereal and milk, bread/toast, orange juice, apple juice, coffee. The breakfast would have been perfect if they had provided fruit or yogurt but they didn't and I can't complain. The breakfast area was nice - it had a huge flat screen TV with the news or weather on - the space was often cramped with all of the guests eating at the same time. Some people would load up with food and take it back to their rooms, and the staff did not mind. I prefer eating in my room anyway. The lobby had a public computer and printer for those who wanted to get a quick check of their email or facebook or print out a google map or a boarding pass. The pool looked really nice, quite large, but since it was mid-January no one used it. The hotel is right next door to a McDonalds (3 min walk) and a Houlihans (3 min walk). There is a gas station nearby as well (1 min drive) and a Pizza Hut also (2 min drive). The hotel is on a strip that has any type of restaurant you could ever want. We ate twice at a Perkins that was on the way to WDW. I was very very satisfied with this hotel. My wife and I were here for a quick trip to celebrate one year of marriage. The bast part of this hotel is its courteous staff. I am more than satisfied with my stay. The only drawback is that this hotel doesn't have shuttle service to the Parks......

Perfect for the price. Clean and quiet. If you need a bed and shower this place cannot be beat.

I was shocked and not pleased w/ the cleaniness of this hotel. The review/pics didn't match this hotel. One of my main electric sockets wasn't working, the carpet was torn and heavily soiled and my toliet wasn't even flushed when I arrived! More important, being I have hearing problems and had my S/D. They were to install the hearing device for my room. […] That never happened. I couldn't get a telephone signal w/in my entire room. I will be honest that Alan went beyond his duty to make sure I was satisfied w/ their services. I had no problems with the staff. Run down hotel. We left earlier despite the fact that we had paid for more nights. Friendly staff but the hotel needs to be torn down.

This hotel was both convenient and worth the price. We stayed during a cold snap in which the heater of our room was vital. During the first night the heater shut off and we could not get it to work at all. After speaking to the front desk, they explained that it was an issue with old wiring and they'd need to flip a fuse. It was back on in 5 minutes […] and worked through the rest of our stay. There were some minor cosmetic issues, there was a bit of caulking missing between a portion of the shower and the wall, something that's worn over time, that wasn't an issue to showering. As well, two of the lightbulbs in the room were out, which wasn't noticeable when there were so many lights in the room. The message light on our phone kept blinking throughout our stay, though there were no messages and the front desk couldn't seem to remedy it. Houskeeping was really friendly as well, but the room did not have a safe for keeping valuables. The room in which continental breakfast is served is small and cramped, when we went inside it was very crowded and we wound up eating in our room. The breakfast itself was pretty good, hard boiled eggs, waffles, toast and muffins. Basic, but of course you get what you pay for. This hotel was a great value with extremely friendly staff and comfortable rooms. There were some minor issues that weren't really a nuisance, and I'll use this hotel again. Devamı

The hotel was very nice and clean..The people in the front desk ( manger was really nice) were great we are planing on going back in June and we will be staying there..I recommend this hotel..close by to everything!

The hotel was very nice and the room was super clean! We had a nice free breakfast before we left from this hotel. I suggested you to stay that hotel if you guys planning to go Walt Disney World or other places because it is cheaper than staying in hotel nearby Walt Disney World and less crowed.

The room was clean, the bed was comfy, breakfast was decent, the front desk folks were nice and accommodating, the Disney proximity was great -- what more could you ask for at this price?

Friendly, welcoming, rooms adequate for a shorter stay and good rate. Hotel location convenient for restaurants and supermarket. Safety lock on the room door was hanging off. Breakfast was basic but quite adequate. Cereals cupcakes waffles hard boiled eggs etc orange+apple juice+ coffee and tea.

Was verry happy with our stay room spotless ! bed comfy ! staff was great nice area close to Disney and resturants we will stay here again kep up the good work !!!

We stayed at Destiny Palms for 3 nights. Overall it was a very good stay considering the price we paid and the included breakfast. Although the room was small/tight, bed was very comfortable. The only complaint is that each day when we first walked into the room (after maid cleaning), the entire room smelled like the bathroom - not very pleasant. Room was great.....very clean and well presented. Lobby and halls were also very clean. The only thing I can complain about was the breakfast...half the food was missing and the counters were a mess....had to go out to a restaurant for breakfast. Breakfast aside I would definately use this hotel again.
