The hotel staff were obsessed with service. As an amusing note, I received a call from the front desk to confirm that I received my wake up call - before the wake up call was received. This was especially significant, as I was scheduled for an early morning surgery and a prompt wake up call was critical.

Absolutely outstanding service. I found it somewhat amusing that they were so eager to please and follow-up that I received a follow-up call from the front desk to determine if I had received my wake up call - before the wake up call was received.

The staff greeted me with a smile and a warm, delicious chocolate chip walnut cookie. Maintenance responded quickly to my request. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.

I thought it was going to be closer to the oceanfront but, no biggie. I found a dirty towel in the bathroom and it was obvious that it had not been cleaned.

Walking distance to convention center. That's about the only reason to stay here. Clean and comfortable room.

I normally never have any problems at Hilton Hotels, but this time it could've been a pretty bad situation if it was never resolved. Had difficulties from staff upon checking in -even though my reservation is prepaid. Only when they realized I was an HHonors member, their attitude changed and allowed my check in with a smile and fake friendliness. Everything was perfect. The gym was clean and offered good equipment. My room was comfy and nicely laid out. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. I wish I could have stayed in the area for more than one night.

It was handily close to the convention center for the conference I was attending. I liked that there would have been free parking is I had a rental car. For the money that you pay each night for the room, the room is very small, lots of dust on the fridge and microwave and glass cups. The hotel hall way an elevators were so hot and moist and smelled like mildew. It was not a good experiance at all. Will never stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel for the gun show held next door at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. It was very convenient and we were able to walk back and forth from the convention center and hotel. I stayed here for one night and the room was okay. Overall the location was great! It was a short walk to the beach and the restaurant at the hotel was pretty good, the people were friendly. The room was wonderful and comfy. Bed was soft and heaven to sleep on pillows were soft and mushable. The room was spotless and staff friendly as can be. And those cookies OMG! The interstate was right there.the indoor pool looked inviting although I never got the chance to enjoy.

I and my family spent 4 nights at this hotel over the Labor Day vacation and while our stay overall was okay, it was far from outstanding. The beds were comfortable, but the bathrooms had some issues. It seemed that the toilet only flushed properly every other time, which was quite irritating. Secondly, there were times in the day when the hot water […] seemed almost non-existent or very slow in coming - obviously no fun. Another challenge was the key card for the door. Half the time it didn't work to slide the key card in to unlock the door. And a number of times I heard other customers complaining about the same problem. On the plus side, the location is very good for Virginia Beach and their staff was very pleasant and helpful. They have a shuttle bus to take you down to the beach every half an hour and the driver was very nice. This was a 3 star hotel but if they could just address some of these issues, it would rise from okay to excellent. Devamı

Nice spot for a cheaper price than staying on the beach. The elevators aren't the greatest. We went to my folks room on the 6th floor and had to wait 15 minutes for at least just one of three elevators to open that was going up. It never happened so we decided to get on one that went down so finally one came, we went down to the first floor and then […] pushed our floor and went back up to the 10th. Our coffee machine in the room didn't work so they came and replaced it with another and that one didn't work. And no we're not idiots so it wasn't us. The radio/alarm clock also didn't work. Upon arrival, check-in was easy & fast. Received a complimentary warm, chocolate, walnut cookie per guest. We weren't there long enough to enjoy the restaurant, pool, and I believe there was a fitness center. We really just stayed there to sleep. They do offer shuttle services every 30 mins until 10pm to or back to 19th & Pacific Ave, but it's only […] about a 10 min walk. Bathroom door frame was broken and the door would not close or lock. It stayed cracked open. The knob on the sink faucet had come of the faucet. Neither was fixed before we checked in. Judging by the type of problem, it appears that the hotel knew of the problem and assigned the room any way since we had made the reservation through Expedia and paid […] a lower room charge Devamı

Good Hotel. Great location away from the beach craziness. The hallways are dark,. The hotel is begging for renovation. The carpets and interiors are not great. I wish the hotel management does something about the decor and carpets. The elevators are not the best at this hotel. You wait for 10+ minutes for it to service you.

We love the Doubletree Hotels, so we expected this one to be as nice as the others. It was lacking in more ways then many others, but was not horrible. However, for the price we paid for the weekend we went, it should have been much more enjoyable. Nice hotel. It's located a mile away from boardwalk - a 20 min walk. Good thing is that the hotel has a shuttle that runs every half hour and takes you to and from the boardwalk. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Bathrooms are clean. Service is good. The restaurant on premise had good coffee. However the best coffee and breakfast is at Ba* As* cafe […] located a couple blocks away. Next time I would try to get a hotel that is walking distance to the boardwalk. The stay was ok, but the room reaked of mold/mildew and or smoke so I suffered with a headache the entire weekend. I asked to be switched to a nonsmoke room if it became available, but that never happened. I arrived on Friday and was contacted on Sunday regarding a welcome package which was of no value to me since I was checking out on Monday. Disappointed they did not have free wifi in the rooms nor a refrigerator. They do give you free cookies which are really good.

1. Air condition on the hall way was not working and was not fixed for 3 days. 2. Poor maintenance of the elevator which amounts to safety - my family got stock in the elevator for more than 5 minutes and the following day we witnessed the same elevator manfuctioned. We reported the incident to the front desk and their reaction showed lack of concern […] for our safety. 3. Unable to get help for more than one hour to move loggage when I was ready to check out. General comment: our pick of Double Tree was its association with Hilton but we were in for surprise for the poor maintenance and service. I was iffy about this hotel based off of reviews I read but to be honest we LOVED it...the hotel is nice, staff very helpful, the kids loved the free cookies...the pool area is nice and the restaurant food is to die for.. even though the hotel is not on the beach they offer FREE shuttle services to the boardwalk...I would definitely stay here again […] . The hotel was very reasonable for the price. It was a short distance away from the boardwalk and they offered a shuttle service that ran every 30 min which was convenient. We asked for a nonsmoking room, and we got one - however, the room still smelt of smoke which was not good. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel to stay at and clean.

To Hotel staff was very friendly all around. To our surprice the Hotel provides a shuttle to the beach. Our room was very clean. The only down fall were the elevators. They are to slow, and at check out time we had to use the stairwell to bring down our personal belongings.
