The hotel was very clean and tidy, the only real issue I had (and this seems to be a theme at most hotels) was that the cable system was pretty pathetic. Very few channels (no ESPN for crying out loud) and all in low-def on a high-def tv. If I was staying for an extended period, it was enough of an annoyance that I would have stayed someplace else.

Room: large, renovated, clean Bathroom: large but grout work was very sloppy Breakfast: nothing exciting but you can manage a bowl of cereal and cup of coffee Pool: dated, in need of a serious facelift Staff: quite friendly Location: next to the interstate but a short drive away from the shopping area Recreation Room: in serious need of replacing- equipment […] is dated and in disrepair-unusable. Final message- great for if you're passing through and in need of a place to stay for a night. The room was nice, but the pool was unclean and we ran out of hot water before finishing our showers. When the front desk was told of this, they nodded their heads and kept working.

We traveled to Freeport for a leisurely overnight visit. The comfort suites was a great reasonably priced hotel. The room was clean, the service was friendly and the basic breakfast was exactly what we needed before starting our day. We had a good stay. Check-in was quick, and the room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was OK, not fabulous, but who expected fabulous? All in all a good value for a weekend visit.

Rooms were spacious, comfortable, and quiet (could not hear neighbors). Although the hotel is near the interstate, we did not hear cars. Wifi was functional. We went to Freeport for shopping -- why else would one go? -- and Comfort Suites provided a very comfortable perch for that. We were also only a short distance from some good dinner spots.

Overall everything was fine, with the exception that the hotel was very short staffed. The one front desk clerk was swamped each time I went through the lobby. A nice place to stay and great complimentary breakfast. Highly recommend it, except take earplugs or else the highway noise will keep you awake at night. Freeport is a lovely little town, great for shopping and very pretty at night.

The room is large. The furnishings were comfortable but dated. The shower head didn't wok well because the "shower massage" was stuck. Breakfast was just ok. Location is not great - right on the main highway, so a bit noisy.

The woman at the counter on check-in was on the phone , sounded like with a friend. Was rude when asked about tea/coffee available. I can't believe they put the coffee/tea away at 9:00 pm . The positives: good hotel considering the price, the room was clean with the exception of the bathtub (which really just required a good bleaching and some new caulking to get rid of the green/grey look). The negative: the front desk. When we first walked in to check-in, the woman at the front desk was too busy on her cell phone to notice. When she […] did roll her eyes up at me, the only thing she had to say was "we're full." When I told her that I had a reservation, she got back on the phone to say that she'd call the person right back. Took my name, handed me my room key, and that was that. A couple of hours later we called down to request the use of a cork screw, the man who answered was nice, he said we'd have to bring the bottle down because they only had one in the entire hotel. I went down only to be told that they couldn't find it and suggested we go down the street to a minimart to buy one. Nice. Luckily, I met a lovely couple in the elevator who made a comment about the poor service and got chatting, when I told them about the corkscrew, they were happy to share one that they had just went out and purchased for the same reason. To top it off, it was obvious the two working the desk didn’t get along; the woman would barely move her chair when the guy was searching for the corkscrew, nice impression to leave with your guests. I haven't had good experiences with Comfort Inns, but the reviews I read online about this one made me decide to take a chance. It was so worth it, in every way. Even the hotel pool and hot tub were ultra clean, and that is hard to find. I have nothing but praise for this hotel.

Recently renovated (except for the shower - odd). Clean. Nice staff. Pool, etc. We didn't try the breakfast. A few miles from LL Bean.

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. We came back because the first stay was as good as we expected. Outstanding staff and good clean basic place to stay. Our second stay started out a disappointing. When we checked in we were well taken care of, but another young man trying to check in interrupted the other clerk who was more interested […] in going through the sunday paper and didn't want to be bothered. This was out of character with what we had experienced in our previous stay. Breakfast the next morning was also disappointing. The woman working the breakfast nook let things run out. People had to wait for fresh coffee and she did not stay on top of things at all. The next two mornings were much better. We'd stay there again. We had planned to only stay one night, but liked the hotel and location so finished out the last 3 days of our vacation. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean. Some might consider it worn, but rooms were nice and clean which is what we were looking for. Would stay there again if we were in the area. All great, I would stay there again. Minus. The hall on the second floor, were we stayed, was not conditioned properly (feels hot) The pool is a bit small, but still good for kids. Averall is great.

This hotel was average, however staff attention to detail was below average. Upon check-in we were assigned a room already occupied. During breakfast - with so-so foot - there were no staff to be found to replenish food or provide assistance with the use of equipment. The pool/hot tub area were also not up to par, with wet towels left on chairs and, […] once again, no staff in sight. The hotel itself was nice, employees were nice over all. My only negative comment is that they placed a card on the bed that stated they were "saving the planet" - if you didn't mind not having your sheets changed each day, place the card on the bed. I left in the morning and forgot to place the card on the bed, however, when I returned to my room that […] night, not only had the sheets not been changed, but the bed wasn't even made. Comfort is the correct name for this hotel!! The beds were great and we loved the hot tub and pool. My only suggestion for their lobby would be to add hot chocolate to the coffee and cookies.

Not the best free breakfast...but it was free. Not walking distance to Freeport shops. Small parking lot. Room was outdated and dusty.
