La Copa Hotel - McAllen

We checked in to our hotel but immediately decided to not stay there at all. The connecting door looked like it had been kicked in. Two doors down the room looked like it had been broken into. In addition, there was also construction going on outside next to the hotel. We called the office and told them that we would not be staying and asked for a credit […] of 2 of our 3 night reservation. We figure it would be a fair loss of one night for us and a compensation of one night for the hotel. However, They said they could not help as it had been reserved thru Hotels.com. We called hotels.com and they did not want to give us a credit either unless the hotel would issue one. In short, they passed the buck back and forth so we ended up not staying for any of the 3 nights. We won't be ussing Hotels.com for any more hotel reservations in the future. It is impossible for the consumer to know how in what condition the hotel is until you get there. The responsibility lies completely with Hotels.com to ensure that the hotels advertised on their website provide a minimum standard of service. Safetly is a minimum standard that should be provided. This hotel was a regular hotel 2 to 3 star.......the workers made it a 5 star, which to me is very important. Th elocation is great close to the highway and close to the Mexican border....pleanty of places to eat with in walking distance,

Fridge was inconvenient.placed in a cabinet? Shower was horribly made. Not enough water pressure. It was ok for the price.

This hotel is normally much more expensive. It is located in the parking at La Plaza Mall. It offers complimentary breakfast.

Overall hotel is OK but can use some updating. Had to ask for toilet paper twice. It is not something the staff need to forget for customers. Personally, I will not be staying there again.

Basically, the hotel room was just a place to sleep at night while I attended a 5 day school for business. It appeared clean and suited my purposes for rest. However, there was no full "hot" breakfast available as promised by the "Hotels.com" reservationist. In fact, the continental breakfast offered by the hotel was not even ready at 6:30 A.M. as […] stated by the front desk personnel upon check-in. So, that particular feature of my stay was not enjoyed because I didn't have time to wait each day for the food items to be prepared beginning at 6:30. The main irritation of my stay occurred when I tried to print a file report I spent two hours creating only to discover the printer in the business center wasn't connected to the computers provided in the business center. I had to create the file in MS WORKS because the business center computers did not have MS WORD. If the printer had not been in the business center or if management had posted a sign that the printer did not work, I wouldn't have wasted my time. When mentioned to the front desk personnel, I was told one story about the printer and told to talk to the manager in the morning. I talked to the manager who gave me a different story than the front desk but, nevertheless, the printer was unavailable. Sounds simple here but it was a very frustrating experience and these two missing items required changes in my schedule that inconvenienced me. This is the second time I have had a less than pleasant experience booking through Hotels.com. All of this said, I will admit the rate for this hotel was outstanding...50% off the regular price. Room was right near elevator, which was very loud. Maid showed up at 6:30 AM knocking at my door!! Who does this???? Tell me because I won't ever visit there. At front desk I complained and I was met with silence. No apology, no amends, just silence. If you gamble, you can always bet that I will never return. Nor will my friends.

I felt very happy to be received by a very kind person. The hotel is real nice a great location and a perfect price for me. I will definitely choose La Copa Hotel again

The roon was not clean at all , there was a condon under a sofa ......... I saw it just when I was leaving the roon becuase I always check under beds and everywhere if i am not forgetting something .... The pool was also dirty .

This place was not worth the money we paid for it...pool and shuttle not working...in no hurry to fix such, either...

Este hotel esta cerca del mol y de restaurantes de comidas rapidas de gisto en comun

Me parece buen hotel, aunque antes incluian el servicio de transporte a los alrededores cercanos me gustaria lo volvieran a instalar.

El hotel es bueno, lo unico malo es que como se les mojo algunas habitaciones y la recepción a causa de las lluvias olia mucho a humedad...

ESTE HOTEL ESTA MUY FEO, SI TE TOCA EL SEGUNDO PISO, TIENES QUE SUBIR Y BAJAR CARGANDO LAS MALETAS COMO BURRO, LAS ALFOMBRAS MUY MANCHADAS.

ESTA MUY BIEN SITUADO EL HOTEL SI VAS DE COMPRAS AL MALL DE McALLEN, EL VEHICULO LO PUEDES DEJAR ESTACIONADO EN EL HOTEL, CAMINAS SOLO EL ESTACIONAMIENTO DEL MALL Y LISTO, EN CUANTO A CONDICIONES GENERALES ESTA "BIEN", ES UN HOTEL ALGO VIEJO Y NECESITA MANTENIMIENTO, PERO ES COMPLETAMENTE FUNCIONAL.

La verdad es un hotel que tiene una excelente ubicación, el problema es que esta en muy malas condiciones, por lo que pagas podrían tener un poco mejor las habitaciones, en mi caso, pedimos una habitación de no fumadores y apesar de eso, la habitación olia muchisimo a cigarro

Está muy bien ubicado, limpio, buen servicio, amabilidad del personal y sobre todo la alberca de muy buen tamaño.

La ventaja de este hotel es que esta en el mall del Norte La ubicación excelente. Un poco arriba el precio para lo que ofrecen. Servicios regulares

El hotel tiene poco mantenimiento nos toco una habitación maltratada la puerta, limpio inmejorable ubicación, desayuno medio, el hotel podría estar mucho mejor y cobra más, nosotros fuimos por unos amigos ellos les costo 40 dlls la noche a nosotros nos costo 80 más impuestos muy muy caro, los colchones muy buenos.

Anteriormente el hotel ofrecia Hora Feliz. En el desayuno falto mas variedad en frutas y yogurth, gracias,

Gran servicio en general

cuando llegué, como a eso de las 16:00 hrs. y se dieron cuenta que llevaba conmigo a mi mama de 75 años me facilitaron la única habitación limpia en la planta baja, lo malo es que las cortinas no cerraban, no tenia el riel completo y tuvimos que usar horquillas para medio cerrar las cortinas, fuera de eso todo estuvo bien. Un consejo, pudieran separar […] los tostadores y las wafleras en dos barras, una de cada una en diferentes partes para que no esté toda la gente amontonada en un solo lugar. Devamı

el hotel es bueno, sin ser un 4 estrellas, es comodo limpio, y super bien ubicado, a unos pasos del Mall, las camas queen,estan muy comodas y la habitacon tiene lo necesario, yo lo recomiendo, y a un precio muy bueno.

Tuve un problema la madrugada del domingo 11 en donde en la habitación 124 estaban hospedados algunos jóvenes que tuvieron fiesta y provocaron demasiado ruido desde la 1 de la mañana y no dejaron dormir, lo tuve que reportar a las 3 a las 4 y a las 5 de la mañana que no cesaban su escándalo, en mi ultima llamada solicite a la recepcionista la intervención […] de la policía, no vi ninguna intervención pero fue hasta esa hora que cesó el ruido. Conté el tiempo desde mi habitación a la puerta de Macy´s del centro comercial La Plaza e hice 2 minutos a pié. Lo malo es que tiene unos vidrios oascuros y eso le da muy mal aspecto pero ya adentro no está tan mal. El desayuno es malo y se termina muy pronto, pero la ubicación compensa lo malo.

El hotel en general bueno, hay cosas que pueden ser mejoradas, el desayuno es regular pero tiene una muy buena ubicación al lado del Mall que es su mayor atractivo por la comodidad.
