The location is excellent and the hotel is well maintained.

Furniture was outdated and worn out. Bed was very uncomfortable and bedspread was stained. The room temperature was at 65 and not controllable from room.

I had to stay in Springfield unexpectedly and needed someplace to lay my head. This is a very basic hotel and served its purpose. I will say the staff is very nice. I had a problem with my tv not working and they came to my room within five minutes and fixed it.

Super friendly staff. Clean. The place is 'dated' (curtains, bedspreads, towels have an 'old' feel to them), but the place is clean, and convenient. I would have liked the option of being able to turn on the Fan, or Cold Air. I guess they control whether it's time for Hot or Cold. Had to open a window to cool the room down. Staff was wonderful. Very pleasant & professional. The hotel is in a good spot- near the highway, service station, some fast food places, and even WalMart. Only 'negatives' I had were that I couldn't find how to turn on the AC, but the heat worked well; and the window lock was broken. Otherwise all was good, and for the price, it was great. We stay at this hotel every year when our youth group goes to Springfield for a youth convention. The rooms are larger than typical rooms which accommodates a room full of teens! Also, this hotel has 4-way adjoining rooms, so your group can share up to 4 rooms like an apartment! This Springfield Travel Lodge is basic but clean and perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. There was a mini-fridge to keep a drink cold overnight. The desk clerk was very helpful. The on-site restaurant had home-cooking for supper and an excellent breakfast at a good price. Easy on and off I-55. On south side of Springfield but not that far away […] from attractions. Devamı

Well, for the price, it was ok. But the bed blankets/sheets were threadbare, when my wife and I attempted to get towels from front desk-were told they had none up there they were all on housekeeping carts. Okay, so where was the phone call to get some towels from them? The air/heat system is just that...air or heat. All rooms were on a/c when the outdoor […] temp was averaging 60 outside. my poor wife was freezing....when called for extra blanket told "I'll see if I have one." Thank goodness they did. The hotel was a reasonably priced place to stay. The restaurant was able to adapt to my dietary requirements. Unfortunately the Hotels.com website and confirmation information didn't have the correct address and so when we got lost we had to call the hotel. The street name was wrong.

The lobby of this motel has been updated and looks quite nice. Please don't let this fool you regarding the condition of the rooms. We are not real picky people, as long as the room is clean. However, our room could have used a good dose of clorox and elbow grease. There was mold/mildew in the tub grout and the tub didn't look clean. Neither did the […] sink. The air vent, which was over one of the beds, hadn't seen a dusting in quite a while, and the air conditioning made so much racket that we had to turn it off. The only reason we stayed there was that there was an AG Fair in Decatur and 28 hotels in Springfield were completely booked. I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone. Devamı

the only thing I didn't like was the bath tube did'nt look clean so I stood on a towel while in the shower.Overall the stay was nice for the money.helpful staff

The gentleman at check in was very courteous. The hotel is clearly old but NOT in disrepair. It was a little tricky to even out the hot and cold for the shower. The location was great. Close to restaurants and access to the highway. Overall, its a good hotel for the price.

To whom it may concern, I recently stayed at the travel lodge in Springfield IL. I want to tell you that as a day sleeper who worked nights there, I was not happy. There were three of us and it took 2nights to get a rollaway. They put us in a room near construction and woke us even though we had a do not Desturb sign. They moved us to another room, […] although the beds were substandard and the waking up by housekeeping was rude. If I had not prepaid for my room I would have left. No sleep in capital city IL. great rate for our stay, was disapointed when they closed the pool due to broken glass then told us it would be open in the morning and was not, and my daughter didn't understand that. bed we older but no other complaints.

The rooms were inexpensive. Our stay was very suitable..We would have liked and indoor pool.

This is a nice place. Nothing fancy, but definitely adequate. Staff is helpful and courteous. I read some of the bad reviews and honestly these people must have high expections. If you are looking for something like the hilton, this is not the place for you. If you just want an affordable place to stay that is clean, I definitely recommend it.

My youth group attends a convention every year in Springfield. The Travelodge is ideal for our housing. It is inexpensive, and has the option of multiple rooms adjoining. Many eating establishments are available on the 5 minute ride to the convention center.

My whole family enjoyed our stay here!! Everyone was so nice and very accomadating they even opened the pool early for us just because we asked!! We also enjoyed the Lighthouse Restraunt that is in the Hotel...the food was great and the prices were even better!

Great Service at the Desk. The Air conditioner in the room worked awsome! the beds were comfy and the bathrooms were nice. This was in a great location and it was very cheap. I was pretty impressed and dont judge a book by its cover.

It was late, I need a place to sleep. The room was just OK. It also faced a road, I mitigated traffic noise with a white noise generator. There are likely quieter rooms.

Nice hotel, clean, priced right, nice pool to cool off in , and friendly staff

I needed a room to sleep in for 2 days and the room was clean and hassle free.

Pretty much you pay for what you get. I was not satisfied of the cleanliness and the fact that the hotel had the ac shut off. It was extremely hot in the room. They did give us a fan and said we could open the window. Which did not make me or my friend feel safe. Next time I stay somewhere I will not worry about saving a little money. I book this hotel for my youth group every year. It has several options of adjoined rooms, plenty of towels, very courteous staff. For the money, you can't beat it. It is 5 minutes from downtown, 5 minutes from the mall.

Let's start with the facts: 1. 3/4" gap at bottom of door. Just let any critter or insect in. 2. Extremely run-down looking. Paint anyone? Rotting wood anyone? The Travelodge was probably built in the 1970's, and cosmetically, it shows its age. The hall carpet is worn and the central air is gone (or at least was in our room) and is replaced with a window unit, held in with plywood. These things considered, the hotel still rates high due to strengths in all other areas and the great value. We stayed in Springfield […] last year at the same time (State Fair) and paid TWICE was we paid at Travelodge (for a hotel that was no better than this). I never judge anything by money alone; this hotel had a great staff who checked us in within a few minutes and they were always friendly whenever we went past the desk. Our room was always spotless when we returned at the end of the day, with plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, etc. Although one could hear noise from other rooms in the hallway, we were not bothered at all once inside our room, and slept soundly in comfortable beds. The hotel also features a very pleasant restaurant, The Lighthouse, where we had breakfast every morning we stayed because the food was so good, as was the service. The location is very central to the Lincoln sites, downtown, and all that is on Veteran's Parkway. If you are looking for a clean and safe hotel, this is it. Devamı

This hotel is one of many out there that offers non-smoking rooms that stink of cigarette smoke. The room was fairly clean, and we our small children appreciated the "snuggie bear" prints all over the room. It also seemed that the room truly was a non-smoking room. However, the room must be surrounded by smoking rooms, or shared ventilation with smoking […] rooms. My wife also felt unsafe around the other cliental the hotel seemed to attract. Room was large enough, fridge was helpful and had everythign a more expensive place would have. Walmart across the street was convenient, restaurants in hotel and more nearby. Pool was good size. For the money, I felt like I got a better deal than most.

I needed a sleeping room for one night and this hotel was perfect. I was offered a second floor room which I turned down because there's no elevator in the hotel and I have bad knees. The outside door and inside could have used a coat of paint, but overall I was very satisfied with the accomodations. The room we stayed in smelled like a swamp once we turned on the AC. We turned it off for the duration. Other than that, we got what we paid for. A clean room and good sleep.

Hotel is showing it's age and can find much better bargains in other cities, however, in Springfield, there isn't much of a selection, so if you are looking for a budget hotel, this one will work for you. The service and front desk are extremely nice and helpful, just the hotel is showing it's age.

The hotel rooms were clearly outdated and not very clean.. there was even a used open bar of soap in the bath area! Worse, with the curtains drawn and a small sliver on the bottom that didnt close entirely, we saw someone looking into the room!!!! I was worried our car would be broken into!
