First time I've stayed here where the service was sloppy. Reserved a King, didn't have one available when I checked in, housekeeping threw away newspapers that hadn't been read on desk

Nice and relaxing !!!

Really couldn't have been a better value. Clean and comfortable, well-appointed rooms, quiet, and the breakfast was very good. After a couple of bad hotels in a row, a pleasant experience.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY THE PEOPLE THAT WORKED THERE WERE GREAT. ALSO YOU HAVE TON'S OF THINGS TO DO AROUND THE HOTEL AREA FROM SHOPPING,EATING,MOVIES,OR FUN THINGS FOR THE FAMILY.

Everything great, except room temperature hard to manage

I would highly recomend this hotel! This is the second time I have stayed at this location. Once for a wedding and most recently when my mother and aunt came up for a visit. Both times the staff was beyond friendly and helpful!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Lombard, Il location. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.

Found this amazing gem while staying near my daughter's college. Was so happy with the room (a suite!). My daughter brought a friend to stay with us because it was so nice. Pool, breakfast, staff, price - all wonderful. Will definitely stay there again!

Could not have been more impressed with the hotel staff. Went above and beyond to make our stay super easy. Hotel is amazing and close to everything. . .restaurants, malls, expressway. Will make this hotel our new regular stop in when we visit family in the Chicago area.

this was a great stay for the price

looking foward to a one ninte peaceful time, problem was hard to find on map quest, second hotel under renovations, next room right next to mine was being renovated at 8:00am hammering & drilling going on, also accidently fire alarm went off, . not such a peaceful nite,, people at desk could not help or compensate for my inconvience otherwise if you […] can find great location for food & shopping Devamı

some construction going on during our stay that woke us up but overall a nice place to stay at.

Overall the stay was nice, but the bed was squaky and the heat/air condition did not work.

This place is awesome. This was our second time here and we love it. Its clean, staff is awesome, great location, and great price. Breakfast was great and wonderful variety. They just started a remodel of the Breakfast nook so we are looking forward to our next trip to see how it turns out. Kudos to the staff for making our stay great!

Standard Hyatt Place Hotel, though a sign in the lobby said the bathrooms would be upgraded, which is my least favorite part of this otherwise nice, family-friendly hotel. It was quite crowded after Christmas when we were there, and sometimes they ran out of silverware, but the staff was working hard to take care of everyone. Clean room. Well appointed. Heating/cooling unit was noisy. Great deal for the money. Would definitely use again.

Very good price and the room was terrific.

The employees are polite if approached, however I found most of the hotel staff would ignore guest. It is up to the customer to hunt down a member of the hotel staff for help. I had to wait too long to have my credit card swiped.

Stayed new years weekend...great rooms

We stayed here while visiting my family in Illinois. The front desk personnel were very accommodating and set us up with a beautiful room on the top floor. The room was an exquisite suite and was clean and comfortable. The flat-panel television had enough rotation for either the bedroom or the living area and had all the external plug-ins available […] in a convenient side panel (for laptops, dvd players, etc). Breakfast was a nice mixture of milk, juices, coffee and tea. Along with yogurts, fresh fruits, muffins, and bagels. The staff did an excellent job making sure everything was stocked. The location is perfect. Far enough away from the major road (Butterfield) so that the traffic noise was not an issue and located a few miles from many restaurants and shops (including the mall). We were able to get an incredible price for such a quality hotel. We will definitely stay here again! Devamı

The only complaint I have about this place is that the bathrooms were VERY tiny and I had to ask for a room with a tub (which was so small and low to the ground, I barely could get in for a bath without fear of overflowing the tub). The rooms are currently being updated with walk-in showers. The room and beds were clean and comfortable. The staff was […] SUPER friendly and they always helped without hesitation. Be prepared, there is NO microwave in the room, so you will have to take your leftovers to the front desk to be warmed up. was very satisfied with my stay but overall i would recommend more breakfast options. But the room location cleaniness i was very very very satisfied.

This hotel is awesome, rooms, service, food, location! Only downer is no Hot tub.

The rooms at this hotel are large and well furnished. I had a very good (albeit short) stay at this hotel.

I'd stay at this hotel every time I am in the area.

A good hotel, clean and friendly staff. No hot tub and the continental breakfast consisted of some fry cereals, fruit, yogart and lots of carbs (bagels, mini muffins, enhlish muffins, toast). Had to purchase other breakfast items such as meats and eggs.

Upon check-in I was informed my requested room type was not available. While I understand that booking through hotels.com does not guarantee a specific room type, two different desk staff members made a point of ridiculing me in front of other guests about using a "discount third-party site" for my reservation, saying things like "when you want to pay […] less, this is part of what you get." At check-in, the staff member did apologize for the lack of accommodation and offered a complimentary beverage as compensation. At check-out, a different staff member was equally demeaning in regard to my request for a statement of my account, noting that "I didn't pay them anything so there's no receipt to give." I reminded her that she did have my credit card on file for incidental charges and I was simply asking to see what, if any, charges they had posted to my account accordingly. This employee did not seem to understand that even though I paid a travel web site for the room, the bulk of that transaction would have been transferred to this property for the actual accommodations. Beyond this, during my three-night stay, no housekeeping attempt was made at any point after the first night, so my room was only cleaned once. The heating/air conditioning unit had two fan settings: fighter jet blast (low) and Saturn V Apollo launch (high). It also could not be set to run continuously, so as the heater cycled on and off during the night, the noise woke me up at least once per hour. The bathtub drain stopper was completely removed from the drain and set on the edge of the bathtub so I could gaze upon the scum-encrusted attachment point throughout the duration of each shower. There was also a large (8-inch) crack in the shower wall through which water inevitable must have leaked out during a shower; I hope the person in the room below mine was not deluged by it. I was very surprised how great of a hotel it was for the price per night I paid! The restaurant was opened 24/7 which I took advantage of. And the room was larger than I needed but I'm not complaining.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The service was terrific, the staff extremely helpful. We had a few minor complaints: 1. The first room we were assigned had a non-functioning card reader in the door. After two tries, we were assigned another room. 2. The bed sagged so much it gave me a backache. 3. The mini-kitchen lacked a microwave, […] a huge inconvenience to this tea drinker, and the hot water at the downstirs breakfast bar tasted of coffee. I complained twice, but nothing was done (though the staff did heat up the water I got from a drinking fountain). 4. Our favorite TV channel, PBS, was not available. Devamı

The rooms were clean and set up for a relaxing stay. Close to shops, dining, and movie theater. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast bar was clean and provided a nice variety . Great place to stay and prices are reasonable.

Great location with tons of amenities within walking distance.

Website info very misleading about hotel - indicates that site has a lounge with music, resteraunt & etc. All are combined into one, very crowded in a.m. for breakfast and not maintained well. As far as music, it was simply intercom music and could hardly be heard. Asked for directions to a local place to dance and dine and was sent on a cab ride […] to three locations a good distance away from the hotel, only to end up across the street from the Hyatt after wasting about an hour an a half in a taxi plus the fare. When brought to Management's attention upon return to the hotel, no apologies or compensation but a comment stating, "Oh that's good to know?" Website very misleading compared to actual property!!! Just stayed here over the weekend and had a great visit. They seem to cater to the business crowd, but my wife and kids still enjoyed the gym and the pool. Spacious rooms with couches and new, comfortable furnishings... only complaint I had about the room was that it smelled musty whenever we turned the heat on. Breakfast was okay on Sunday, but not […] so great on Monday. Their gallery host method of customer service was intriguing and very helpful.
