Linthwaite House Hotel - Windermere

The personal touch was evident in all aspects of our stay, from check in to check out, we were addressed by name by the very attentive and professional staff. The rooms were well presented and very clean, and serviced while we enjoyed our evening meal which was superb!10 out of 10!

This is a beautiful hotel in a great setting but what really made the stay fantastic for us was the staff. They were friendly, attentive and nothing was too much bother. Overall a great place to forget the world for a few days.

Staff were fantastic, you could not ask for more. Only issue was actually finding the hotel as the sat nav took us to the wrong location. Staff we excellant and talked us in.

We stayed for one night as a stopover destination. But what we have seen is promising and would seriously considered booking it for long weekend in future . The inclusive breakfast was a bonus .

Although a little pricey, the Linthwaite House was well worth it. It was a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. The staff was very accomodating and the facilities were impeccable.

Great welcome and a short tour around the hotel by the very welcoming receptionist affirmed that we were due to have a nice stay here. Felt a little bit nervous parking my old chugaboom 9yro old Clio next to all the Nissan GT's, Porches and Jags in the car park but thankfully we slipped into the hotel un-noticed. Hotel room was very nice with everything […] you need readily available including DVD player and a selection of films readily available. Bathroom and more importantly the shower were squeaky clean and good pressure. Lovely smellies at hand to get rid of the Lake District soil from my weary walking legs. Only downside was that the cornices in the room were slight water stained and looked well out of place from the surrounding decor - but this is an old hotel so we mustn’t grumble really and the beds were very nice, clean and warm. Due to alternative plans for the evening, we didn't stay for dinner but the menu looked superb. So the following morning we were very much looking forward to breakfast which I hasten to add, did not disappoint us at all - Both the sausages and bacon were very tasty and cooked perfectly. The views at this hotel of Lake Windermere are superb and the terrace area is very lovely. I have to admit that the only regret that we have with this hotel is that we didn't stay longer. Wonderful hotel in a stunning location. The food and the service were excellent. I cannot find fault with anything in this hotel even the weather was brilliant when we were there in March. We stayed in a preferred double and the decor in the room was bright and modern and the bathroom was tiled in a very high standard. Great place and we will definitley […] return. the staff are very friendly and helpfull . The room was spotless food very good . The only drawback if im being petty is the bar prices but you dont go away to be a scrooge. would recomend to anyone

We stayed just 1 night at this hotel. We wished we stayed longer. The place has superb view. It's just 15min downhill walk into town, will take about 20min walking back uphill. Their service is excellent. Everyone is helpful and accommodating. They have a first class restaurant which did a superb job in adjusting their menu to my food restrictions. Very nice hotel, in lovely location although weather too wet and misty to appreciate the fine views of Lake Windermere. Our room 'superior double' we felt was a little small although the bathroom was quite generous. Outlook not great, and temperature of room much too hot. 家族や大切な人との旅行においては最適なホテル。ディナーを個別に予約して頂いたのですが、夕日が望める丘での食前酒や、屋内のお洒落なテーブルでの美味しいディナーはとても素敵でした。

とても感じのいいホテルで、穏やかに過ごせました。ボウネスから徒歩で30分程度かかるのが難点ですが、その分静かです。 ホテルの庭にある坂を少し登ると、湖が見えて、早朝に行くととてもきれいです。 食事がとっても美味しくて、イギリス滞在中でここが一番だと思いました。ディナーのレストランはジーパン・スニーカー禁のドレスコードありなので注意してください。当方はスニーカーしか持っていなかったのですが、一人10ポンドくらい支払えば、ルームサービスとしてお部屋に持ってきてくれました。ただ、レストランが混んでいたのか、電話してもデザートがなかなか来ずに、3回も電話したのが残念でした。
