This hotel is a great price. $6 cab ride to the Joe Louis Arena. If you are planning to spend alot of time in the room, then spend a little more to stay elsewhere! If you are looking for a cheap place to crash, fairly close to everything, and don't want to have to worry about your car being broke into then this is a good place. In a nice area. Complementery […] breakfast is absolute garbage though. Staff was nice, and the room itself was clean, but breakfast was a waste! Overall since I wasn't in the room very long I enjoyed staying here. Excellent for the price. In downtown Detroit, just a mile from the Canada border. The excellent price includes breakfast!! Not a great deal in quality standards, but great value for money and conveneience....and all the bare necessities, including free internet. Would recommend this place to anyone on a budget

Room and service was fine! Our queen beds were a little bit small (I think we got doubles instead).

Hotel & room was nice and clean. The hotel shuttle bus is a terrific add-on service. I used the shuttle appx. 5 times in one eve and the driver name Joe was excellent. He more than accomodated my party of 9 needs. His attitude was friendly, funny & professional. He took care of us and we took care of him :)! I would stay again....If you plan on using […] the shuttle just be sure to ask if a driver will be available on the days/hours of ur needs. Devamı

It had a free shuttle which was really great, but the wi-fi didn't work, the towels were really thin and few, and it smelled heavily of smoke. The staff however were very attentive and helpful. The continental breakfast was less than mediocre, but there was free parking! It was fine for a one night stay but I wouldn't stay there for more than two n […] ights. Devamı

This hotel is fine if you just need a place to sleep for one night and don't want to break the bank. We wanted something cheap and it was adequate because we didn't spend a lot of time there. The beds were not very comfortable and the sheets were not very clean, and the room REEKED of cigarettes the moment we walked in. The smell was very strong when […] we got there but after we got used to it we didn't notice it until we got home and all our clothes and luggage smelled really bad from just being in the room. We had booked a non-smoking room with a king bed, but when we got there they told us they had overbooked and so they gave us a 2-queen room instead. The door to our room didn't shut very well, and in the middle of the night another guest actually walked into our room thinking it was his! The surrounding neighborhood did not seem super dangerous but it is certainly not a nice part of town (mostly empty buildings and car dealerships). Luckily, downtown was a 20 minute walk away so we were able to quickly get to the Renaissance Center and other landmarks without having to take public transportation. Bottom line: if you don't want to spend the extra money to stay at a closer hotel downtown, this one is ok, just don't expect anything very nice. Devamı

The first room smelled so bad, we requested a new one. Second room a little better. Stains on the cover and didn't feel like taking shower in morning. Couldn't wait to clean up at home. I quess you get what you pay for.

Hallway had a horrible odor. Free continental breakfast was extremely dissappointing, staff would not restock food when it ran out! Hotel was not worth the price!

Good points: Parking was good and hotel was close enough to where we needed to be. Hotel Staff friendly. But, wireless didn't work (my computer said no security and couldn't connect), and even after they reset it it still didn't work, which was disappointing as they advertise wireless connection. Couldn't connect to internet in the comfort of my room. The […] towel rail was broken....the safe wasn't accessible and we didn't have time to wait for them to make it work, after they failed to make it work. When I tried to fall asleep I struggled as there was a continuous humming sound -maybe from another room with the heater on-sound was disturbing enough to keep me awake. I don't mean to complain, but I am sure some of these problems can be sorted to make a stay more enjoyable. Devamı

The staff was super nice and the bed was co for table after a long night of dancing. The room was nice and definitely not a 5 star hotel but well worth it! Only a few minute drive from downtown and all the sights.

My only problem was that it was more pricey than the rest of them in same area. Service was good but Gym room was always locked and no one opened it. Breakfast was good.

Seriously? What is housekeeping good for anyway if u find a bottle full of cigarettes left by your window. Never recommend this place.

Staff were wonderful! Place was very outdated. Breakfast left a lot to be desired.

this was my third choice for a hotel. I had a better hotel at about the same price in a better location, but flubbed the transaction online. oh well! the price was right for one nite. staff was very nice and helpful, but the place could use some major curb appeal-- inside and out.

Although close I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone I couldn't even get a clean wash towel let alone my room cleaned

we embarked on a 10 city baseball trip and chose this hotel because it was close to Comerica Park. rooms need updating, tv older, our room had a king bed, minifridge, wifi, washer/dryer on main floor, continental breakfast was sufficient, not in the greatest area, but good enough for a 2 night stay. IHOP, Walgreens, Dollar Store, Rite-Aid -nearby. they […] offer a shuttle to the ballpark but were told only to games on the weekends. took a cab $5.60 plus tip. rode the people mover, cost 50 cents and offers many stops in the downtown area.-Greektown Casino. Hotel says its within 1 mile of comerica park it sure seemed much further then that. The hotel was surrounded by barb wire fences and the door between the lobby and the hotel rooms was broken offering no safety. My wife was afraid to stay at the hotel. Our Tiger game got rained out and we were very tempted to drive back home 3 hours and lose the money […] we spent for the nights stay. Not worth the money Devamı

The hotel definetly is not in the greatest shape, but the staff more than made up for that. The staff was definetly the best of any hotel Ive ever stayed at.. and Ive been to quite a few. The hotel is not in horrible shape, just a few paint spots chipped here and there is all I saw.

We read an earlier review that the front desk repeatedly told guests the shuttle driver called in sick. Sure enough, when we asked about the shuttle we got the same story. The hotel was not the greatest and I didn't feel like it was the cleanest - dingy towels, a coffee-like stain on the bedding, only one disposable cup in the room...we were only there […] to avoid drinking and driving back home from downtown so I guess it served that purpose. Nice service, no shuttle bus to drive us to the casino as promised. Kept stating the driver called off everyday. Hotel has a distinct smell of a febreeze bomb and marijuana. Also bathtub did not drain after showering.

PROS - cheap cabs rides to anywhere downtown - offered free shuttle to Lions, Tigers, and Wings games - very friendly staff - good continental breakfast CONS - room needed a few minor repairs (dripping tap) - price per night attracted many party-goers - never could connect to free wifi, had to pay to use the house computer

Very clean, very comfortable room. staff was super friendly. Safety was never an issue, they took us to the football game on thanksgiving and picked us up eventhough we'd checked out that morning. I would absoulutely stay here again!!

This place could use a overhaul like new carpet bedspreads tvs overall new beds did,nt sleep at all the smoke detector hanging from ceiling but i guess you get what you pay for would not tell anyone about this place. and they need some smell good all over the place.

The best two-star hotel I've ever stayed in. Walking distance from downtown, though you should cab it to be safe. But the hotel was clean, or at least clean enough for a 2-star :)

They offered a free shuttle to Greektown that we didn't know about, so it was a pleasant surprise. The room was in a very central location as far as the bars, casinos, and Tigers baseball. The shuttle stopped at midnight so our cab ride home was less than $5.00. The door jam to our room was broken so anyone could have kicked in the door while we were […] gone, but no one did. There was a VERY unpleasant odor in the hallways/elevator. The room itself was clean and well maintained, except the bathroom floor was completely sticky and we couldn't go in it without shoes. The bedding appeared to be very clean. The alarm clock and the light between the beds didn't work, so we only had the bathroom light and one sconce on the wall, but it was ok. Overall it was an alright experience because the people were friendly and we only stayed one night, but I wouldn't recommend it for extended stay. Devamı
