Third time we have stayed. Very convenient for our late afternoon arrival from UK and very comfortable overnight stay. Convenient for dinner at Bahama Breeze and we can just walk across to restaurant.
The two things i look for is a nice room and a nice bathroom. This hotel had a nice comfortable room, but not the bathroom. Why can hotels in general not build and maintain quality bathrooms. it was clean, but dated and showing serious wear on fixtures and construction.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very close to the Phillies Spring Training games. Very convenient restaurants nearby. Continental breakfast was sufficient. Staff was very courteous and the room was very nice after we asked to be changed to a room with a view!

"Rocky Point Holiday Inn Express"
Absolutely ideal place to stay when arriving in Tampa after a 9 hour flight. Bus pick up available or plenty of parking if driving. Close to plenty of restaurants and bars. Hotel has heated pool to relax and serves breakfast. Would definitely use in future.
""complimentary shuttle""
We called before booking to confirm that the hotel's complimentary shuttle would take us to the cruise port the next morning and were told that it would as it was within their milage radius. When we arrived we were told that unless we had booked the cruise package, we would not be taken to the cruise port. There is no reason whatsoever to stay at this […] location if you are planning a cruise....it is too far away from the cruise port. Also, we very specifically booked a room with two queen beds and when we arrived we were told that they had sold out of these rooms. After much complaining, they did give us two rooms with king beds. However, we later learned that we paid nearly twice as much to stay the one night and that we could have stayed at the INTERCONTINENTAL about half that. Devamı

"The Holiday Inn Rocky Point Island Tampa, Fl"
I STAYED AT THIS HOTEL LAST YEAR, AND ENJOYED THE AREA. THAT IS MAINLY WHY I CHOSED THIS HOTEL AGAIN.THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND LUIS WAS THE BEST.WAS IN TOWN FOR THE SAINTS VS BUCS GAME, AND WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.
"Great stay, great price, awesome breakfast"
The hotel is right next to the water with a beautiful view. It was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was just incredible, with an awesome pancake machine. Service was great. The only problem we had was very loud neighbors, but the front desk was very good about calling them and asking them to quiet down several times. We definitely recommend this […] hotel. Devamı

Great value and quality. The room was very clean and the hotels overall appearance was good & clean. The breakfast was excellent and had just about everything you could want. The room was a little small, but overall was great.

"HORRIBLE"
FIRSTLY - Upon checking in we found the toilet in our room blocked, we called maintenace to come and unblock it, as he was leaving he said to us that if it was still block they would change our room tomorrow, we were only booked in for 1 night. Needless to say that it was still blocked and we were told that we could move, it was 12.45 am in the moring […] and we were not prepared to move at that time, so had to use the toilet 2 rooms away. SECONDLY - the soda machine, which was right outside our room was serviced at 7 am .........lovely. THIRDLY - the cleaning staff decided that they would have a conversation ON THE TOP OF THEIR VOICES down the hallway at 8 am ............... again lovely. FORTHLY - No apoplogies were offered, Holiday in Rocky Point, you won't see us again, sorry. I GUESS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Devamı
"Can't Believe the Value I Received!"
For a great price, our room was sparkling clean and the staff amazingly eager to take care of us. The breakfast was not only free--but well-presented and delicious! While the water pressure in the shower could be a bit more forceful, this hotel is more than worth the price of admission!

The hotel overall was nice. The rooms were clean and nice. The TV was outdated and the AC was very loud.

I was a little concerned about the bad reviews, but those concerns were gone once we got there. The only thing I did not like was the a/c unit (it shuts off every 10-15 minutes) and it was a little annoying when i was trying to sleep. Other than that, our room was clean, they had a hot breakfast, free newspaper, nice pool and great water view. It is […] at walking steps to the Bahama Breeze and 15 minutes to Clearwater Beach. We were offered an upgrade at check-in to a king suite with a bay view! Made our stay much more enjoyable. We live in Tampa anyway, but I love the view of the water and was able to watch sunrise and sunset. King bed was very comfortable and sofa bed great for school reading that was due. This was a very nice motel and reasonably priced. The room was clean and the buffet breakfast had a variety of foods to choose from. The only things we would liked to have had were a refrigerator and microwave in the room.

"I understand the star rating"
We booked this hotel to attend Yankee Spring Training. The location is what makes this hotel so attractive. It is close to good resturants, bars, the airport and most importantly the stadium. It also has a pool area, free internet in the rooms and wi-fi in the lobby, and a decent continental breakfast. We were very disappointed with the cleanliness […] and comfort of the room. The bed is the firmest mattress ever and the pillows are very uncomfortable. We brought our one year old son with us on the trip and his feet and knees were black within seconds of crawling on the floor. Thats how dirty it was. We asked for a non-smoking room but the bathroom fills with the smell of cigarettes when the fan is off. We will most likely pay a little more next year for a cleaner room somewhere else Devamı
wireless only works in the lobby/first floor. Bed and linens were not the most comfortable. Service was below expectations.
"Nice view from the hotel, not an amazing place to"
The check in was pretty fast. The room was kind of worn and smelled strange. It was fairly clean but it did seem that this hotel is in need of a renovation. The beds were confortable though and we were there for a night and we were fine with the way it was. Not a spectacular hotel, I would say there are better options that this one of you spend more […] than one night there. The breakfast was good though, not too many options but they seemed fresh. The free shuttle service would not work after midnight so for late flights, you will need to get a cab from the airport. By the way, out GPS took us somewhere else but you can easily see the hotel from the Freeway. Devamı
"Completely adequate--very convenient"
The only complaint we had is that the AC unit vibrated loudly when it was turned on -- not a huge problem for us because we are very sound sleepers but could be annoying for others. We told mgmt. about it on before our second night and it was not repaired by the time we left after the third night. Told them again at checkout.

the staff was wonderful. my son was sick so the courtesy bus driver drove me to the local pharmacy to pick up meds. they were wonderful! breakfast was hot and delicious. the room was clean. totally recommend this hotel!

"Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Tampa-Rocky Poi"
I originally chose this hotel because of the reviews and was not disappointed. The booking was for an overnight stay after a long flight prior to collecting a hire car at the airport the following day for a holiday touring South Florida. The hotel was excellent value for money, clean and a more than adequate breakfast included in the price. Transfers […] to and from the hotel went without a hitch. There is a bar/restaurant alongside the hotel so no problem in having an evening meal on arrival. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel if you need to be close to the airport either on arrival or departure but not as a base for a holiday. We would definately stay again! Devamı

We booked this hotel b/c the other reviews sounded promising. We have always stayed at a Holiday Inn Express when we travelled and were always satisfied. This hotel had the worst breakfast buffet I've seen at a H.I.E.! Our shower was horrible! The bed was soooo uncomfortable, the A/C was old and loud! We should have kept our money and stayed at a motel! […] I was so underwhelmed with this hotel. The only good thing about it was the location, it sits on the water and my favorite restaurant Bahama Breeze is across the parking lot. Other than that, it should take the Express off of the name! The island allows for a beautiful view of the water surrounding Rocky Point Island. And Bahama Breeze Restaurant/Bar is just across the parking lot.

"Great Hotel !"
I can't decide whether it was the July 4th (Independence Day) occasion or the hotel that made the night great but one thing I know is that this hotel was absolutely wonderful ! The hotel was right on the water by Courtney Campbell Causeway/Bridge & right beside my favorite restaurant (Bahama Breeze). The location was so perfect for a one night getaway. […] The view of the water, the bridge & the city of Tampa was gorgeous, the hotel was clean & so was the room. The Staff did all they could to make us welcome & accommodated us very well. The breakfast, parking & everything else was great & the price was well worth the stay ! With no hesitation, I will definately stay at this Holiday Inn Express again. Devamı

"Bra hotell i närheten av flygplatsen"
Hotellet hade en shuttleservice som kom några minuter efter att vi ringt. Ingen kostnad, men som vanligt vill föraren ha ett par dollar i dricks. Stora rum med bekväma sängar. Gratis internet. Frukost i platskoppar och plasttallrikar, men man får ju vad man betalar för. Bokar gärna detta igen vid nästa besök.
