We chose the Holiday Inn Express in San Diego because of its description and location, despite it cost more than other hotels. We know now it was a mistake. The location was difficult to find. The neighborhood was very questionable. And the promised harbor views were views of other buildings and the freeway. To get to the pool, you had to either go […] out of the hotel to the front sidewalk or thru the parking garage. The pool gates were open to anyone, not a safe feeling. Within the room, we were able to hear other guests in the hallway, showering, watching tv, or flushing the toilet. To get to your room, the stairs was the most efficient way, the only elevator was usually in use by the hotel staff or stalled and unoperable. Devamı

My first visit in san Diego. It is more glorified by the overall satisfaction of the holiday inn express . Its rooms are so clean , customer service agents are friendly, the free breakfast is hot and delicious .I don't have enough words to explain my satisfaction. Had a wonderful time!!!

Overall this was a great hotel for my family during our visit to San Diego. It is very close to Sea World which was our main reason for visiting. The pool is small though so if your kids really want to swim just keep that in mind. The breakfast was excellent as far as hotel free food goes. It was the best we have had so far. I was happy with the cleanliness of the hotel. The room was nicely kept and decorated. All I needed was available in the room including a microwave and refrigerator. The only thing I was unhappy with was the sheets were very rough on my skin. They also bothered my son's skin. We had breakfast in the morning and the food was acceptable. You could tell […] the eggs were from a container but the rest of the food was good. The parking spaces were way too small and we were in a compact vehicle. If I had driven my suburban down we would not have been able to park. It was a little difficult to get to the hotel but once we knew where we were going it was fine. Good service for the price. Clean. Very friendly staff. The indoor Parking lot is small and somewhat not the best for SUVs. ALL The parking spaces are for compact cars. So, SUVs must occupy more than one space at one time....Small pool too. Other than this, not bad...

Overall the hotel was great. Very convenient to Sea World and to the beaches. The main complaint we have about the hotel is parking. Parking is under the hotel and the spaces are small. With most everyone having SUV's it's hard to get into the spots and parking definitely fills up at night.

I only needed a room for 1 night but the staff was very polite and welcoming. The room was very nice and very clean. Close to all the things I needed!

The hotel is not a five star hotel. However, it is a nice hotel that performs like it should. It was great for our vacation to Sea World.

Overall the hotel was nice. Staff was friendly and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was nice - a very good selection. Definately worth the money.

Great value. Convenient and good complimentary breakfasts. My sister stayed at an expensive hotel and liked our hotel much better. The area isn't so fancy, but it was safe and the hotel looked like an oasis.

We were very pleased overall with the hotel. It was close to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and the beaches. The breakfast was good as with any Holiday Inn express. My only compplaints with this one is that parking is horrible and the breakfast area is very small. You have to get to the hotel early to even get a spot and if you are lucky enough the spaces […] are very small. As for the breakfast area I believe there was only six tables inside and two outside. We had a wonderful visit. The only problem was trying to park at 11;30 at night. Not enough parking slots. Breakfast was really good. And Choc.Chip Cookies for snack in the afternoon. Nice touch.

Took the family down on a Friday night to get up early Saturday for a full day at SeaWorld. Great place for 1 or 2 nights for a family of four with 2 kids under 10. Not real modern but just enough. Fridge and Microwave in the room plus basic cable including HBO. Not the best neighborhood, but it is .5 miles from SeaWorld, you can see the nightly Fireworks […] show from the hotel. Great location. No frills hotel with good breakfast and close to Seaworld and the zoo. Very clean and staff was very accommodating.

Great value. HIghly recommend it.. Not the best breakfast ev er but enough choices that you can eat what you need.

Everything about the hotel stay was very good but the parking situation. Location was a 5 minute drive from Sea World. The only issue was the fact you had to park in a parking garage. Would not have been so bad except that the spaces were only big enough for a mid size car. Vans/trucks ended up taking 2 spots.

Enjoyed the stay, convenient to our destinations--loved the free breakfast offerings every day. This location lacks sufficient parking on-site making less desirable street parking necessary. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Pleasantly surprised by how wonderful this hotel was. We took a last minute trip to Sea World and booked this hotel. The service was great! The front desk staff was wonderful. There wasn't too much parking (there were many guests who took two spots on purpose. NOT the fault of the hotel), so the woman working the front desk had someone move HER car […] so we could have her spot in the garage. She said she was leaving soon, so it was no problem.. The room was very comfortable, clean and nice. It was a little loud in the morning, but what do you expect from a hotel where most of the guests with children had come from or were going to Sea World (the front desk informed us of that little bit of "trivia for the night" when we checked in. Once again, not the fault of the hotel). The free breakfast was great! Very fresh and the staff was very helpful. The neighborhood was a bit shady. Odd to have a great hotel in the middle of that. Friendly front desk, beautiful hotel newly renovated. smells good. For those smokers who are check-in a non-smoker room better think twice in lighting up that cigarette inside your room or risk paying hefty penalty. Highly recommended!

We had a hard time finding this hotel. It is near a concert hall and they must have had an event because it took us a hour to go two miles. When we finally got near the hotel we could not find it and had to go back around! The hotel itself was clean and the breakfast was great! Shower was hot!

Room was very clean and the front desk personel was extremely friendly and helpful.

I was very impressed by the hotel and staff. It was pleasant, and everyone was very nice. However, there was quite a bit of loud music and traffic noise from the surrounding area, so if you are a light sleeper, it might be bothersome.

The staff at the desk and the buffet were excellent and very friendly. The check in and check out were quick. The food offered in the breakfast buffet was very good. A great variety for all adults and kids. My 7yr old grandson wanted to live and eat there forever he told me. After the first day he said can we eat there tomorrow before we were even finished. […] The staff and the motel were very clean. The pool and the hot tub were at the right temps and we enjoyed them both. I liked that you offered a family suite so that we only needed one room saving money for a large family. Devamı

Very comfortable Hotel in General, really close to sea world and the San Diego Zoo, SUPER CLEAN!! I already recommended to my co-worker and he is going to stay there. Little noisy because of the airport but it didn't bother my 1 year old and my 3 year old overnight. Very friendly staff, good buffet for breakfast, Overall, Great Stay!! This hotel is close to Sea World - and that is its best feature. It's an older hotel and the neighborhood is a little "seedy" Police and Fire Sirens all night long - But the room was clean, the staff was nice, the price was right for the 1night we were staying. So it was fine. They do need to fix the door between the covered parking lot and the building […] as several of use couldn't get the lock to release and jammed it up. Rooms were very nice and very clean. Service was outstanding, but location leaves more to be desired. Would recommend staying here to anyone.

Booking a hotel online, sight unseen, can turn out to be a nightmare, but this one was far from that, thank goodness!!! :) I would recommend this hotel to just about anyone! The front desk guy was unbelievably sweet...especially for it being midnight when we arrived! He gave my little boy a paper bag w/ goodies inside to welcome him & offered water […] bottles to the rest of us to take to our room. The complimentary breakfast was AMAZING!!! Biscuits & gravy, eggs, cereal, fruit, juice, cinnamon rolls...OH MY GOSH, SO GOOD...it kept us going through almost an entire day at Sea World! The room was immaculate, a good size & had a nice roomy bathroom. It had a nice sized mini fridge & microwave & the decor in the room was very modern. Ya, parking may be a little tight, but nothing a good driver can't handle & definitely not something worth making a stink over, in my opinion. Plus, it is literally less than a mile from Sea World & only a couple more miles to the beach! So convenient! Future Sea World trips will definitely include more stays at this hotel for us, for sure!!! Devamı

Really nice room, with soft beds. We had a mini fridge and a microwave in the room, which was nice for our family. The surrounding area is old but once we were inside our room it was really comfortable. We even got a gift pack of treats from the front desk! The pool is small but we were mainly sightseeing so it was okay.

Very comfortable beds, great breakfast, friendly staff. Only negatives were the hot tub jets not working and the size of the parking spaces. Overall, great value. Will stay here again.

Our stay was awesome. From the moment we walked in the ladies at the front desk were very nice. The rooms we clean and nice also up to date/mondern looking. We were very pleased with the breakfast buffet they had which included bacon, eggs, buscuits and gravy plus so much more. Sea world is only about half a mile away and there is a shopping center […] across the street. The only thing that we didn't like about our stay was the parking was a little tight as the spaces were small and squeezed together. This hotel has been newly renovated and the rooms and beds were very comfortable. This is a family owned hotel and it's obvious that they take great pride in accommodating guests. The location of the hotel was VERY close to SeaWorld and not too far from the San Diego Zoo. My family of 4 had a very restful, fun trip and we were very glad that we used […] this hotel. They also offered a tasty free breakfast that was continually being stocked as patrons came and went. The housekeeping crew did a great job in keeping our room tidy. I will definitely plan on staying here in the future when I return to San Diego! Devamı

Hotel was recently renovated. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Good breakfast and location is great for all of the attractions of the area. Plan to stay here again when we go back to San Diego.

Thank you that you provided this survey to me to share my utmost dissatisfaction with the hotel that I stayed recently. I always consider my self as the “hotels .com” loyal customer. The worst thing that I encountered was the parking condition .Very narrow, with not having a comfortable and enough space to do parking, crowded and surrounded with trunks […] and a limited space for movement, which unfortunately caused me to hit my car to one of the trunks and costing me almost $850.00 for a new bumper and off course painting. I am very unsatisfied that I had not at least a preliminarily idea about the parking condition of this hotel (Holiday Inn) and at least I wished was being bale to see the parking image before of the selecting of the mentioned hotel. It is an inconvenient hotel. Indeed that, I will never stay there. Devamı

I wasn't crazy about the hotel location and thought it was difficult to find. The room was clean and nicely decorated. I was very happy with the service. The breakfast was delicious. The parking spaces were a little tight and I thought my bed, although beautiful, was painfully hard. Overall I was happy with the hotel.

It was perfect. There was no stress because there was plenty of covered parking, check-in was super easy, the elevators were in a great spot, the rooms were clean and they had complimentary breakfast which saved me and my friends from the New Year's Day hangover. Cheers!

Room was clean, quiet except for kids running around in the room above us. The free breakfast was more than expected and the food was good.
