Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Beaumont Plaza, I-10 & Walden - Beaumont

Well I thought I was renting a 2 bedroom suite and I actually rented a 2 room suite which is 2 completely different things. Than the next morning at 9:30 in the morning the maid comes knocking on my door trying to clean my room. I had just went to bed at 4:30 so she did not do me any favors.

Keys never worked and every thing appropriate for kids to watch cost money and they couldn't plug in their dvd player

A/C unit very loud in room, no coffee in lobby @ 0800hrs

It was great place first class service.

Upon entering the hotel I was surprised by its grandeur and gilding. A large open atrium with tiered levels and a waterfall create a wonderful, grand ambiance. This changed once we entered our room. The room had the surface appearance that soon dwindled. The walls in the bathroom where filthy with dust and mold in the corners and grime around the light […] switch. The worst part of it all was the mattress. It was rigid and hard with little give. I have traveled the globe and this was hands down the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. Devamı

So first off I reserved a room with a king size bed and a sleeper sofa. Upon arrival the lady at the desk said it wasn't available and they only had doubles left. Well I had to take it and upon entering my room, I was blasted with the smell of urine! So I go back downstairs and tell the gal and she puts me in another room. I walk in and can't smell […] anything until I open the bathroom door and oh my goodness I can smell a sewage/septic smell. It wasn't hard core but it was enough to make me nauseated. It's late and I need to get some rest, so I close the door and go to bed. Oh my gosh I thought I was sleeping in a crib and an uncomfortable one at that! The bed was as hard as a rock! I hate to complain but management needed to know about this stuff. I spoke to the manager the next morning and he was very nice and understanding and wanted to make things right. He said he would give me points towards a free night but I told him I didn't want to stay in the Holiday Inn again. He said I could use any of the hotels under their blanket so I took him up on it. I appreciated that but still have to put in my review what really happened. I wont be staying there again. I will say though that they did have really good customer service from the front desk clerks to the manager so I will give them that. The hotel has seen better days though and either needs to be majorly overhauled or bulldozed and rebuilt. Devamı

This hotel is very convenient for anywhere in the golden triangle. We were in Beaumont for a wedding and this was perfect for the church in Port Neches and the venue in Beaumont. The rooms are pretty up-to-date, a good size, and comfortable. They have free wifi, which is a huge plus to me (I hate being nickeled and dimed by high-end hotels for something […] that every corner coffeeshop has for free). The hotel staff are friendly and helpful (we got some great suggestions on where to eat). My one complaint would be the hotel's layout. The rooms are arrayed around an atrium with a huge waterfall fountain. This layout means that everything happening in the atrium sounds like it is happening right outside your door, so if there is say a girls soccer team staying at your hotel you are likely to hear all of their activity out in the lobby and corridors. However, the acoustics didn't interfere with a good nights sleep during our stay. We enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it to others. Devamı

This hotel is tired. It looks to be 30+ years old and in need of a rennovation. The interior atrium is dark and dated. All in all it was expensive and not worth the money.

The hotel is conveniently located off of Interstate 10. Plenty of restaurants, convenience stores and family entertainment. On my visit...it was quiet and pleasant. As for the AC thermostat, another reviewer spoke of, you are able to change the setting. It is tricky. If you press and hold the up or down key for a few seconds, the display starts to blink, […] then you may set it to whatever your heart desires. I definitely plan on spending the weekend here, again. Holiday Inn I10 & Walden Rd is the great place to say for leisure or business. Also, it is in close proximity to the Lamar University Campus.

Hotel offered good value for money. The hotel is next to the interstate but the rooms are very quiet. Breakfast is affordable. Rooms are clean and offer lots of space.

Lobby and hall traffic to/from pool a little noisy in afternoon to late evening, but otherwise great. Room was clean and stocked,

The thermostat was locked in at 76 degrees. This is the first hotel that I have stayed in that did not allow a paying customer to adjust the temperture. There should be s tag or something stating that it's locked out and if the occupant wanted to get it adjusted, please contact the front desk. The television's remote could not access the rental movies […] offered and the channel list did not cohiencide with the channels. It stated there were 3 HBO channels, but I could not find them. Really enjoyed this visit. Very clean, beautiful decor, great location. Next time I am in the Area, I will go back to this Hotel.

No coffee available on sight, except units in room, after 10am. Restaurant only open for breakfast. Very good seafood restaurant across street.

the hotel lost power for over 7 hours and we missed a graduation

The room was clean and the staff at check-in/out were very cordial and helpful. Easy access on and off IH10. Conveniently located to a couple of great restaurants and a movie theatre. This is my choice hotel in the Beaumont area.

There was a long line at check in, apparently there was a little league baseball tournament in town because there seemed to be 20= 30 little boys running wild through the lobby and playing on the one elevator that was working. The front desk staff was rude and not at all helpful. When we called room service the person we spoke with was rude and didnt […] bother to even say goodbye, just hung up the phone. No one went out of their way to be helpful. One of the elevators was broken and when we reported the children playing on the elevators the person at the desk just stared at me and did not even bother to reply. The rooms were clean and comfortable, that is the only plus. We will not stay here again. Devamı

The Holiday Inn & Suite in Beaumont was a Beautiful Hotel, Room was very comfortable. We were going to the races in Baytown the next morning, Didn't sleep much that night due to the Very Loud people on our floor who were slamming doors, yelling across the building, talking in front of our door, At one point I opened my door to see what was all the commotion, […] I did see people standing 5 rooms down outside the door I guess they were having a Party of some type. This went on until 5 am, when itn was time for me to get up. I thought surely the workers must have heard all this. I think that it may have been an after Prom Party, Anyway, I would stay there again, but next time I will make sure we are away from any partying going on. Devamı

This was my second stay and for the second time had to switch rooms. My first room was clean enough, however the air coming in the bathroom sounded like a jet engine. Even stuffing a towel would not abate the noise. Second room was more quiet but a bit musty smelling. I WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN.

This is the perfect hotel for spring break or any other time for that matter. Made me and the grandkids feel they were there for only us. I had reserved the two room executive suite, it had plenty of room with two televisions which kept us all happy. The kids loved the indoor pool because they could swim anytime. Location of hotel is close to good places […] to eat and movies. We loved the breakfast buffet also, great value. From check in to check out a great wonderful time. Devamı

Couldn't believe it was a Holiday Inn, more like a Hilton!! Absolutely beautiful lobby, extremely clean, across the street from excellent dining, rooms were neat, clean, and roomy, staff was friendly. The ONLY not so great thing was the bartendar in the lobby bar seems like she didn't have a ton of experience but she was friendly enough. We stayed the night for a wedding that was at the hotel. Everything was great, both the stay and wedding. Room was very clean with nice amenities. The wedding was beautiful. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Hotel very close to Ford arena (Awsome Place), easy access to I-10 and close to many fine resteraunts. I think its the nicest Hotel in the Tri-Plex area!!!

WE HAD A ROOM ON THE THRID FLOOR WITH ONLY ONE ELEVATOR WORKING AND JUST HAD KNEE SURGERY.I HAD TO TAKE THE STAIRS,75% OF THE TIME WE WERE THERE. THE ROOM CAME WITH A FREE BREAKFAST AND EVERYTHING WAS COLD,SO THEY OFFERED FREE MINI MUFFINS IN A BASKET BUT YOU CAN"T TAKE THE BASKET PUT THEM IN YOU HANDS AND GO. AND ONE MORE THING THE WATERFALL SMELLS […] LIKE A FISH TANK . Devamı

We stayed at the hotel over the Thanksgiving holidays, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. We were in an executive suite, and it was definitely worth paying for the upgrade. We will return there in the future.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean and beautiful. Woul definately stay again.

NEED CARPET CLEANED,AND MORE TOWELS IN ROOMS.
