"showing its age"
The hotel was convenient for our trip to the USA. It needs much updating. Furniture in lobby was old and scarred, rather tacky. Sorry but I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and this one is not at the top of my list.

"Basically Good"
A nice large room, clean bathroom, quiet floor. The fridge made too much noise through the night. Otherwise, just fine.
"Not near Buffalo Airport"
In our search we asked for hotels near the Buffalo Airport. This hotel is not anywhere near it. It is in Canada so you will need a passport to get here. Other then that it was a really nice hotel. My husband and I spent 1 night here to attend a wedding. The hotel staff were friendly and very well informed. The hotel was very clean. We did not use the pool or exercise room but both looked clean and modern. We did breakfast in the resturant and found it very good and loved that we got to take tea and coffee with us. Hotel was easy to get to off the QEW. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurant downstairs has great food!!

The hotel has recently reopened as the Clarion and you can tell that much of it has been redone. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The pool is nice, although they could use some lights around the hot tub. Make sure to ask the front desk about getting free plays for the slots at the horse track nearby.
