Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan - New York

The hotel was incredibly convenient to all the madness of New York City. We walked everywhere - Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center, your in Time Square! great restaurants, Broadway shows were close. Loved having the gym in the hotel - great pool, huge gym. Overall, a great hotel. The restaurant was delicious and the staff was friendly. Great location. Who could ask for more?

This was my first stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and efficient. All the facilities appeared to be in immaculate condition and the room was very modern, clean, and a decent size (standard room with a king bed). Definitely enough room for two people. A multitude of stores, restaurants and theaters are within walking distance and there is […] a subway station one block away at Broadway and 50th St (#1 Line) which provides direct access to Penn Station and Lincoln Center. When we checked in , the desk host gave us a free adjoining room for our kids . . Time square is right out the front door . . I wont stay anywhere else . . . We are going back in march . . .

The Crown Plaza is an excellant meeting place.Location is very important to me . The hotel is 2 blocks from the train station. I always use public transportation when I'm in NYC.

Great hotel at a great price. The location was within walking distance of all the major sights, which was great around the holidays. The only complaint I have was that there was no free wi-fi anywhere in the hotel, which is a bit of a downer for a person there on business. Great hotel. It's right in the middle of everything. We went after Christmas (before New Year's) to check out the sights and sounds of the city during the holiday. Rockefeller Center is just a couple of blocks away and Times Square is right out the front door. Easy access to subway to go anywhere else in the city. This hotel is in a great location but unfortunately the owners seem to play on this. We booked a corner King Room and it was extremely noisy. Located next to the lift, we heard the chime every time a lift stopped on out 38th floor. The walls also very thin. WC and shower are tiny and still have the old metal doors. The bath was in an unfit condition […] to use due to its age and lots of enamel coming off all around the plug. when using the shower, the bath also filled up which meant you were standing up to your ankles in water. It took around 10mins to drain away. The room windows did not close properly and were extremely dirty. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and this is our 3rd stay in New York City Devamı

44th floor room was very comfortable, clean, & a great view. Vim took great care of us each morning @ the delicious bkfast buffet. Hotel @ corner of 49th & Broadway was conveniently located to everything; theatres, shopping, dining, & the subway stations. One thing I'm particular about is cleanliness of our room and hotel. I was more than satisfied with the room! Our bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was huge! The water pressure in the shower was weak, but that wasn't a big deal to me. We had a complimentary full breakfast in the restaurant in the hotel which was wonderful. Loved the Gym in the hotel. Great for traveling Triathlete . Even had a pool but did not use it.

Pros: -Great location in a fun area! -Elevators work well with short wait-even to 44th floor. -Hotel/rooms are in good condition-even good size for downtown NY. When I came downstairs the doorman was not available to help. When he finally was available to help, it took a long time to find a taxi-exactly what I had predicted in the first place. Location is great. Room was HOT. Too hot to sleep w/ comforter. Even though it was 40 degrees outside and we had the AC on high - it was still uncomfortable. Opened the window (which is really more of cracking the window at the bottom) and it didn't even help to cool it off. Bed is okay - not great. Pillows aren't terribly comfortable either. Location is ideal for mid town New York. Downside Safe didn't work, no control on room temperature. WiFi costs (not cheap) phone reception not good in the room. Business centre expensive to use and go online as well as printing.

The hotel was in the perfect location. Everything was so close: TImes Square, The Rock, Shopping, Broadway shows- you name it, you got it. It was also really convenient to subway lines and Penn Station (maybe a 10-15 minute walk or 6$ cab ride). The hotel itself was pretty nice and had great views!

The only thing I have to complain about is the lack of free Wi-Fi in the rooms. At the price we're paying there should be no charge like there is for that service. All other hotels I have stayed in recently do allow it. On the plus side of comments I simply must rave about the beds!!! Bar none, it was the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept […] on! Being a former resident of NYC, I hate going back because I now have to stay in a hotel! The NYC hotels are small, unfriendly, expensive and hit and miss as far as how nice they are! There are so many hotels to choose from when going to NYC, it's overwhelming! I randomly choose the Cowne Plaza-the 4 star rating and photos helped! We had such a wonderful […] stay! We were upgraded to a suite! There were comfy robes and slippers waiting for us! A mini Kureig in the room! The bed was very comfortable! It was clean too!! The front deal staff was very gracious-not usually the case in NY hotels!! There is parking at the hotel, very convienient! The bell hops are quick and redili available! It's a time square tourist trap area, but set north of times square it's not as crazy and it was quiet! Perfect place to stay for a night out on Brpadway seeing a show! Will stay again!! Devamı

Our last stay at the Crowne was perfect. This time, they put us in the older section. The doors were heavy and slammed at all hours of the day and night. The tub didn't drain well and needed to be re-finished. The service was great, but I would have prefered the newer side of the hotel.

-Well located in Midtown- convenient to Time Sqaure, Central Park, Broadway, shopping, restaurants etc... -Physical accommodation are well maintained, sufficiently spacious, appear newly renovated, room was in great condition and very clean. I Travel to NY once a month sometime on business sometime on leisure - this hotel is appropriate for both. - […] Convenient amenities- one site restaurants, NY Sports club reciprocation (location in hotel building), multple entrances (including a broadway entrance) and loading area. Staff- All that I encounter were helpful and friendly (Not what one sometimes expects in NY). Leo at the desk was extremely helpful. (staff is consistently attractive and present well also). Location in times square can't be beat, good value. Concierge was helpful and recommended two great nontourist restaurants for us. Busy hotel, but didn't hear any noise while sleeping.

We stayed here primarily for location. I was visiting NYC for only 24 hours with a friend who was in the city for the first time, so I wanted our "home base" to be close to the theatres (as we were planning to take in a Broadway show that evening). This hotel was EXCELLENT for those purposes. Location location location! is the mantra that comes to mind. […] Broadway and 49th Street puts you in the midst of it all, but at a steep price. Pleasantly surprised at the large room size and cleanliness of this hotel. One front desk clerk and the hostess for the restaurant were a bit aloof and snooty (very!) but 90% of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional! Specifically the waiters in the restaurant and the concierge. Security at this hotel was top notch! I'm a single […] mom who traveled with my daughter and niece and we felt safe at all times. I was looking to stay right in Time Square and this hotel fit the bill perfect, it had a great view of all the activity. The bright lights weren't even a problem when trying to sleep. We were in walking distance of all sorts of great places. The only issue I had was with the concierge, he claimed he couldn't find us a reservation at a restaurant for […] the type of food we were looking for, and we ended up literally walking less than a block and were able to walk right into the exact kind of restaurant we wanted. My only complaint is the lack of free wi-fi service. A $10 fee for 4 hours of consecutive internet service seems ridiculous.

This hotel is a two minute walk from Radio City and a three minute walk to the Theatre District. The hotel is a relatively calm spot in the middle of a 24 hour a day busy, crowded, noisy neighborhood. The higher up you are, the less likely you are to hear street noise (including at night.) But even on the 25th floor, I could hear a horn player on the […] street below at midnight. Beds are very comfortable. Great water pressure in my shower but another room at a higher floor occupied by a friend had low water pressure. Very clean with no funky odors. Devamı

We had a corner room (clever architecture provides more than just four such rooms) and great views. All aspects of the stay were terrific.

We were expecting the rooms to be small but they weren't, there was plenty of space. Location was perfect for doing tourist things around Times Square and all the Broadway shows are right there as well. We would definitely stay there again.

This was our 4th weekend trip to New York in 4 years. We have always stayed at the Crowne Plaza Times Square. It is very conveniently located. You can step out the door into the immediate high energy of Times Square. You can step into the hotel for some peace and quiet if you need it. It is in walking distance to everything in the theater district […] and 100's of other things. We will be back. Devamı

Great experience, very convenient, and very well kept.

I took my daughter here for her 10th birthday present. She absolutely loved it. It was close to everything in NYC. The staff was excellent! They were very attentive to detail (noting that it was my daughter's birthday and sending her a snack to the room) and very guest -oriented. The beds were comfortable. My only (small) complaint was that the bathtub […] was in need of upgrading as the enamel was chipped and the drain was broken. I will definitely stay there when I visit New York again as I have had some bad experiences with hotels in the city in the past. Devamı

When we checked in and out there was only one employee at the front desk. Eventually a second employee came out, but not until after a few minutes wait. The concierge Amy was horrible at her job. We asked her for a trendy NY-style place to go for dinner on Saturday. She lectured us on how we would never be able to get in anywhere on a Saturday night. […] I asked her about a specific restaurant in SoHo and she told us good luck getting into any place in SoHo. We really only wanted a recommendation, but she was not interested in helping us. We ended up going down to the restaurant in SoHo that I had heard about. There was no line. It was amazing.
