I stayed for a week and have just stayed for another week. The hotel is getting tired and the amenities are due to be replaced, however the staff are great and nothing seems to be a problem. If you are looking for budget accomodation without the frills, this is a good bet. To its credit its always clean and tidy...

I found the room run down and the pillows were lumpy. I did ask for a wake up call that did not happen.

A little old but very comfortable and charming. If you have a car it's a good place to go, good quality and good price.

Totally served my family during our 2 wks stay. Friendly staff all round & close to motorway, shops & airport. Would stay there again.

ok bit of a muddle up on checkin even thou i had a printout of my reservation and booking number. was told by manager that we were lucky to even be put in a room. So management no so friendly. Other aspects of the hotel over satifactory.

We booked a family unit, my daughters rewashed dishes because they found grime on the glasses, the bed clothing appeared musty and not clean. Our unit was at the very end of the complex and had no fencing therefore was not secure. The Public would cut past our unit to get to streets above us. There was no Sky TV and some of the channels were not clear. […] I ended up buying coffee mugs because they only had tea cups. We also had to park externally but had to unlock our room from within the complex, this was a hassle too. The good thing about this motel was the kids loved the pool and we were close to the airport and other places we wanted to go to. I would not stay here again and could not recommend it to anyone else. Devamı

We had a great stay in a large spacious and comfortable room. Would highly recommend.

I was unsure of what to expect when visiting the Oakwood Motor Lodge due to the mixed reviews provided. My family & I enjoyed our weekend stay at the Oakwood, and given that there was 7 of us we were pleased that the rooms accomodated our large family. Would recommend this place to others as it was of a reasonable price.

It has the look of a manor and is cosy. A few things need upgrading although we enjoyed our stay. Very serene & the cleaning staff was so helpful

The rate for me is included airport transfer, however, they only prove transfer before 10:00 checkout time(it say 24 hours in the webpage, but when I phone them, they said that they will not prove this service after 10:00). The staff never tell us where to have breakfast (rate included) until I ask him when check out.

Modest, older, quiet, comfortable, family run motor inn. Our room for two people was a two story apartment with beds for 6 people! Complementary airport shuttle. Very nice and helpful staff, good dinner and breakfast on premises. Did not see any other eating choices in the neighborhood. We only needed accomodation for one night and this motel suited the bill. Cheap for the four of us and clean, so clean the sheets were still damp on the sides! We arrived early morning and the shuttle driver picked us up promptly but he was less than friendly. He did not welcome us or even ask our names for comfirmation. On the drive back to the motel […] there was no conversation, then again, maybe he was concentrating on how fast he could get around the corners. He drove very fast and it was really not a pleasant ride. The room was large and comfortably fitted four adults but it was dated. For a very short stay this is a good cheap option but if you were thinking of any longer then there is nothing much around the motel unless you have a car. This was a good last minute option for us. This was the cheapest hotel in the area, and it showed. Not terrible, but certainly not great. Would recommend to anyone who needed a bed for the night, but not dor longer stays.

Pick up and drop off from the airport was smooth and fast. Staff were very friendly. Room was o.k. for the price. Would stay again.

Close to airport Manukau City Mangere Town Centre Very central to all southside attractions and not too far from the CBD.

I chose this hotel because the location was close to the airport and not far from Auckland and i didn't know how flying conditions would be due to the ash cloud that was over New Zealand. Also they do have a shuttle service to and from the airport.Although the room was large with a separate bedroom and a kitchonette there was only one small heater in […] the front area and none in the back bedroom. As it was winter it was cold and rainy. it would have been too cold to sleep in the back room so I slept in one of the twin beds by the heater. The hair dryer did not work, the TV set only had 4 channels and was small, and the TV remote was missing a back so the batteries were open. The furnishings were shabby and the staff seemed stressed out and not very friendly. I would have eaten there but their menu was limited and expensive. I think staying in Auckland at a backpacker place would have been better and cheaper (but they price gouge the bus ride to and from the city) and at least i could have seen the city and had more variety with dinner prices. After reading reviews on line about this motel we cancelled our booking but then decided to have a look at it after the one we booked on line was absolutely disgusting when we checked in.To our dismay all the criticism and bad reports we reviewed were totally unfounded.It was clean staff friendly food good and we would recommend this Motel to everyone […] we know and anyone reading this review. Motel old-fashioned and somewhat poorly maintained. Several light bulbs missing or not going including handbasin lamp for vanity mirror. Lots of cobwebs and spiders in the toilet. Colourscheme very dated. Inadequate milk for the four of us for two cups of tea/coffee. Very squeaky stairs. No showwer cap or shampoo. Good points spacious bedrooms. Hotels.com was so quick with my booking & it was at a time when a disaster hit the country I was in. All the other rooms were booked out. So thanks hotels.com. I felt very sad for the Christchurch community where the earthquake hit.

good value and good quality, staff friendly, b/fast homemade excellent. rooms old but in good condition, equipped.

If i had to mention a good thing first, I would mention the free airport shuttle. That's about it, as the hotel room we were given was very humid and smelly. Only when we had already put the kids to bed, we realized that the carpet was actually really wet at some parts, thinking that they had cleaned it recently and it hadn't dried. At night, we were […] woken up because of dripping sound, it was literally raining into the room, dripping on the carpet and on to our son's bed!! We had to get up at 3.30 to leave for the airport, that's why we couldn't be bothered to change room in the middle of the night. The night was short as it was, but with the humidity, the horrible smell of humid carpet and the actual rain in the room, we slept very badly and son and husband woke up with cough! When we addressed the problem at reception at 3.30 in the morning, it was brushed off with a smile and we were told that he was going to tell the manager! Convenient to airport. Pick up available. Dinner and breakfast very good. Staff very able to help.

The bed sheets were never changed from previous occupant, we requested clean sheets and changed the bed ourselves, the bed top cover was filthy, The waste bin was full, we checked in at 4pm to be given a filthy room, Looking up at the ceiling that too was filthy, I have stayed in back street hotels in Delhi better and cleaner.

Hotel was exactly what we expected; clean but slightly basic. Shuttle service to airport was handy.

Un hôtel assez Bof... juste pour se reposer la nuit et pour pas cher, mais a part cela...Bof... Pour ceux qui aiment se relaxer on regardant la télévision, ce n'est pas recommander. La nôtre grisaillait tout le séjour. Et pour la connexion internet, c'est vraiment très long.

Excelente Hotel con un excelente precio. Cerca del Aeropuerto, un poco lejos del centro de AuCkland y necesario tener auto. Alquilamos un cuarto para una familia de 4 personas y era muy espacioso, con dos ambientes y cocina completa con microondas, cafetera electrica, etc. Ideal para famiias que posean auto.

Locotation is good. Near the airport. The rooms and the hotel are very, very old fashioned and it's nessesairy to renovate the hotel. The breakfast is minimal. Price is cheap.

très bon hôtel d'étape. Navette gratuite pour l'aéroport et à toute heure. Possibilité d'aller en centre ville par le bus qui passe juste devant l'hôtel (trajet 45 à 60 mn)

Dit is eigenlijk meer een drive-inn motel dan een hotel. Grote kamers, maar zeker gedateerd qua uitrusting en meubilair. ik wilde echter goedkoop overnachten dichtbij het vliegveld (late vlucht naar Auckland, vroege vlucht weg) en dat kan hier. Eigenaars zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam, let echter wel op dat je de shuttle tijdig reserveert - bij mij […] zat-ie s'morgens vol zodat ik een half uurtje moest wachten op de volgende dienst.
