Hotel Martinez - Cannes

A very good value for a pre-eminent location.

A five-stars "palace" which in any other location would be considered as a good 3-stars business hotel. No AC in the room, had to open the window all night to get some fresh air. They charge 40€ for an average breakfast buffé.

As always, the hotel staff were fantastic. It's a very good place to stay. Often!

Stunning hotel in a fantastic location. i do however struggle when there is no tea/coffee facilities in your room then they wish to charge you 8 euros for a coffee through room service!

a beautiful 5 star hotel with helpful friendly staff. The only drawback is the additional costs such as parking. pets food and drink!

Nice 5 star hotel on the Croisette but at £35.00 a head for breakfast and £ 8 for a Diet Coke, it's too expensive.

This is definitely the hotel to stay in at Cannes, great atmosphere, large rooms, right by the beach with its own private beach (which you do need to pay extra for) The downside - everything in this area is very expensive from breakfast to coffee to dinner, even a croissant. We stayed 4 nights and had a standard double room on the second floor. The room was plenty big enough but not huge had a table and two chairs as well as the standard tv fridge wardrobe and store cupboard. The decor is lovely. It was very clean and had extremely comfortable twin beds. The bathroom was large and had all that you would expect in a hotel […] of this quality. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Martinez is at the far end of La Croisette but is close to some decent bars and restaruants as well as shopping in Rue d'Antibes. You may need a cab to take you to Le Suquet which is the old part of the town which has lots of restaurants. There is a car hire place just across from the hotel forecourt should you want to venture further .We would highly recommend this hotel and would love to return some time. Devamı

I find it hard to find anything wrong. I guess that sums it up!

The hotel staff was so accomodating! They took care of everything including moving us to a different room when we asked for a king size bed. The bed they had us in was a queen and just too small for us. It was a fabulous place and fabulous staff!

Hotellet ligger vid den vackra strandpromenaden och har gångavstånd till shoppinggatan, gamla stan och kasinot. Hotellet har en uppvärmd pool och en egen brygga med solstolar nere vid stranden. Tänk på att solstolarna kostar och att drinkarna ute på bryggan är dyra. Servicen är mycket bra och som gäst väljer du själv hur ofta du vill ha lakan eller […] badlakan bytade. De kommer även in och bäddar upp för natten. Det är något lyhört mellan rummen.Konferenssalarna är många och i olika storlekar med behaglig temperatur. Allt som allt en mycket trevlig vistelse. TRES BONNES HOTEL EXCEPTIONNEL

Excellentes impression, prestations excellentes, à recommander.

Suverent hotell som kan tilby alt du ønsker deg. Som gjest blir du gjenstand for førsteklasses service uansett hvor du beveger deg. Det er rett og slett en opplevelse å bo på Hotell Martinez.

Das Martinez ist eines der schönen alten Grand Hotels an der Croisette. Wir waren mit unserer Familie (erwachsene Kinder mit PartnerInnen) für ein wunderschönes Frühlingswochenende hier - zum Schnäppchenpreis! Aber aufgepasst: Die Preise in der Bar und für das Parken in der Garage (39 Euro/Tg) sind happig!

Nous avons passé deux nuits en février dernier au Martinez. Rien à dire sur le personnel, professionnel et attentionné. Par contre, sur l'hôtel en lui-même, les reproches pourraient être nombreux : très grand lit mais chambre petite, peu de solutions de rangement, décoration figée dans les années 70 (genre grosse moquette orange et marron), et vue sur […] l'arrière cour (même pas un effort pour enjoliver le cadre, en aménageant par exemple un jardin à la place). Aussi, le petit espace situé sous la piscine pour se changer et prendre une douche est vraiment décrépi et peu engageant. L'hôtel nous est apparu sur le déclin, et hormis un nom célèbre et un emplacement prestigieux, on cherche encore les étoiles. Il y a certainement des chambres plus agréables que celles qui nous a été attribuée, ou d'autres plus récemment rénovées, mais ça nous fait une belle jambe. Devamı

Ich war sehr zufrieden.Es ist ideal und auch, dass es günstige Preisangebote ausserhalb der Saison gibt.

フロントの応対、設備、客室、どれをとっても５つ星のホテルに恥じないレベル。敢えていうなら立地がちょっと。中心部からちょっと離れているので、ちょくちょくホテルに戻って一休みする人にはちょっと不便かもしれません。

Magnifique hôtel. Très bel accueil et literie très confortable.

Wir waren vom 27.12.2011 bis 30.12.2011 in Cannes und an der Cote d'Azur unterwegs. Wir pendelten zwischen Saint Tropez und Monaco und das Wetter war super. Milde Temperaturen von 15 Grad tagsüber, man konnte locker mit dem T-Shirt am Nachmittag herumflanieren. Restaurant/Bars/Läden sind auch im Winter offen, Ausgangsszene ist im Winter eher ruhiger, […] da viele Discos geschlossen sind. Wer in der Nähe von Deutschland/Schweiz im Winter einen wamen Ort sucht ohne fliegen zu müssen oder etliche Autostunden zu fahren kann ich Südfrankreich nur empfehlen. Das Hotel war super, ich war bereits das zweite Mal dort. Vorteil im Winter; Die Preise sind nicht so überteuert wie im Sommer. Devamı

Vi havde 4 overnatninger. De 3 første fik vi ikke meget sovet pga. støjproblemer fra en blæser i bunden af en skakt som gik forbi vort værelse. Først sidste nat fik vi en nyt værelse og det var vi meget tilfreds med. Hotellet har det svært med at håndtere problemer. Det er mit indtryk at det er et kongreshotel som kun nødtvunget tager almindelige gæster. […] Vi kommer ikke igen. Flott hotell med store fine rom. Fantastisk utsikt fra front og delvis fra sidene av hotellet. Hyggelig betjening, og hjelpsom og serviceinnstilt consiergedesk.

Très déçue par la décoration de la chambre (vieillot) mauvais fonctionnement douche /baignoire pas de double vitrage assez bruyant sur les cotés A acheter en prix dégriffé pour connaitre le Martinez mais pas plus.

The location of this hotel is superb. The image of the hotel is very important, in fact seen from the owners side. It took about 1 hour to get our key to our room. Trying to enter the room, the keys did not work. Then back to the reception, but engaged, waiting for another key, up to the room again, key not working again. Back to the reception asking […] somebody to help you out. Help is comming, but again - something wrong with the key system at the door. It was obvious that the staff did not know how to handle such situation and it took another 30 minutes before we got another room. Having in mind their image, this check in issue was not a positive entrance to the stay. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. Eventhough we are travelling a lot and prefer to eat breakfast in the hotels, we are refusing to pay euro 37/person for breakfast. Devamı

Can recommend to everybody. The breakfast is very good(even though it is an extra 37€ per person if you don't have it included). Hotel rooms is very nice and the robes and everything is to be reccomended! If there is any drawback it is that they charge you for using the swimming pool that is connected to the hotel.

Unser Aufenthalt im Hotel Martinez haben wir genossen. Zwar war die Suite etwas älteren Datums und die bereits beschriebene Abnutzung der Möbel war sichtbar aber soweit gestört hat es uns nicht. Im Gegenteil. Super-Service, extrem süss der Umgang mit unseren Kindern (beide 10 Jahre) und die Lage einfach traumhaft...

One of the grand hotels on the Croisette. Very classy and expensive. Mainly Arab and American clientele. The hotel absolutely packs the entrance area with Ferraris, RR’s and the like making it almost inaccessible for taxis etc. A bit tasteless and unnecessary - they have rear parking area. The reception on arrival is extremely cordial. We stayed in […] a deluxe room with ”city view”. Small but comfortable room, excellent and very large bathroom. One of the hotel’s major attractions is the private beach area with sunloungers, a great bar and a seaside restaurant serving lunch and (in season) dinner. The food is good, but the service at the beach is erratic, and in the restaurant at times almost scandalous! We lunched there 5 days, and standard time for a two-course lunch was two and a half hours! We had to get out of our chairs to fetch service on several occasions, and people were generally shaking their heads and pointing at their watches. Also be warned of extra costs: Breakfast comes in at EUR 37 pp, and a standard sunlounger at EUR 35 pp (”front line” loungers are 50% more expensive). Thus, one couple will spend a staggering EUR 144 daily for breakfast and beach on top of a stiff room rate. They even charge you for lounging around the hotel pool! Is it worth it? Probably not - unless you don’t care about the level of spending and the service flaws. There are very good smaller hotels in Cannes, and ”private” beach areas along the Croisette with godd restaurants and better service at lower prices. Devamı

Vi bodde to netter på dette hotellet og er kjempefornøyd og vil tilbake igjen. Fantastisk service av alle som jobbet på hotellet og vi manglet ikke noe. Flott bassengområde hvor du får service hele tiden. Hotellet har også egen strandlinje på andre siden av veien hvor du kan reservere solseng enten på stranden eller på "bryggen" hvor de har store gode […] solsenger. Egen strandbar. je suis arrivé tardivement et suis resté 4 nuits. le service voiturier ne gare pas votre voiture dans le parking intérieur, à moins de venir en ferrari ou autre.. ils garent votre voiture dans la rue, dans une zone de parking payant, et donc qui paiera les amendes ???? ce "service" est facturé 38 euros par jour. inacceptable. l'insonorisation des chambres […] est à revoir. un enfant hurlait dans la chambre voisine pendant les deux premiers soirs. Tout est parfait dans cet hôtel à l'exception des tarifs du restaurant de la plage,qui sembles excessifs par rapport au contenu de l'assiette.
