Cadet Hotel - Miami Beach

This hotel is clean, comfortable and charming. The staff was very friendly and the room was quaint and very comfortable. They give you bottled water and a fresh fruit cup upon arrival and chocolates at turndown. It was a close walk to the beach and restaurants but was quiet at night. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

The staff is awesome, very professional, always there to help. The hotel is located in a very nice place, walking distance from restaurants, beach, stores, museums. The hotel and the room was very clean. The breakfast was very good.

On a recent 3 night stay in Miami Beach my wife and I had the pleasure of staying in the beautiful art-deco Cadet Hotel. From the moment we entered the building we knew we had chosen well. Had a 2 night pre cruise stay at this little diamond of a hotel. The room was lovely and clean with a comfortable queen size bed, loved all the little touches like pockets on the curtains with little sprigs of lavender in them, a fridge with a complimentary bottle of water, chocolates on the bed, slippers,housecoat, a free safe and free internet access, […] a little fruit bowl and a lovely letter welcoming you to the hotel. All these little touches made it so much nicer than staying in one of the big chain hotels. It has a lovely jacuzzi in the quaint pied a terre to the back of the hotel. A charming, well-maintained Art Deco property ideally situated near the best of South Beach, steps from Lincoln Road and a short walk to Ocean Drive. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Older historic hotel: Good location Clean Somewhat tired Our room the size of a shoe box with no view

When we checked into the hotel the first thing we noticed was he size of the bed. The reservation was for a queen bed and the bed was a double. When we pointed this out we were told that a double was a queen bed in Miami. The fruit they left to great us was a nice treat until we discovered the strawberry was moldy. We attempted to use the jacuzzi but […] the water was colder than the sourounding air. The staff said they would turn up the heat inn the tub. We discovered later that the jacuzzi closed at 7pm because they had a restraurant. Before 6 it was impossible to relax in the jacuzzi because of the construction happening all around the hotel. We tried for both days of the reservation to use the jacuzzi and both days the pool was too cold to use. They came up with new excuses the second day overwhythe jacuzzi was so cold. When we checked in thetemp in theroom was toocold. The room was so cold because of the air conditioning. We asked how to control the ac and was told that the front desk would set the AC. After 3 attempts the room was too cold. I have never stayed in a room where you did not control the temperature of your own room. The hot water took over 10 minutes to warm up. When we asked the front desk about this they said the water was not being used. The first time we discovered this was about 8 pm while the restraurant was in operation. After placing items in the in room safe we could not reopen the safe. We had to get the front desk staff to open the safe. We were told that the problem was with the batteries in the safe mechanism. We asked them to change the batteries while we were o it for the day. We came back to the same problem and an alarm on the safe going off every 30 seconds. Again we asked them to change the batteries. They finally changed the batteries but left the safe unable to be used. We made a 1-800 call using the phone in the room to discover this was a charged call. Before making the call I checked all the documentation on tehphnesand no wher Devamı

Staff was all really nice, we were welcomed to our room with a bowl of fresh fruit. And frendly people. Its a great location. If u want fine dining or a walk on the beach. Its all right there around the corner. The room had a homely feeling, and comfortable. Not all cluttered and not the advrage blankets. Beautiful old hotel. Courteous professional staff.rooms were smaller but updatedto current standards. No elevator but expected in old hotel. Only major complaint was the room got progressively warmer and uncomfortable through the night and. I could not find any temperature control device.

The hotel is a great place in a very convenient location. Service was superb. Quaint outdoor patio for a cold cocktail or a quiet read. Short walk to beach and all of the hot spots of nightlife. Only minor negatives are traffic noises outside your room, and you must ask the front desk when you need to change the AC temperature in your room. But they […] are very gracious. Room was modest, but bright and clean and pleasant. Bed a little soft for my taste, but otherwise okay. Bathroom could use an update - hot water was hard to come by, and it just seemed a little run down (though clean at least). The service here was fantastic, though. There was always someone in the lobby, even though I was leaving very early in the […] morning most days. Evening turndown service was a nice surprise, too. A Cute hotell in full first half of the century art deco style; with clean, small rooms, and a beautiful (and very hot) jacuzzi in the backyard. Very close to all the shops and restaurants on Lincoln Road and Collins Avenue (and the beach of course). We enjoyed our 4 night stay here.

Full of details, well located, good maintenance but too expensive for what it is. My room was small, no view, no parking. Also found some hair in the bathroom.

The hotel was great - clean, well-appointed and in an excellent location. The front desk manager was rather rude and off-putting, however. Maybe I expect too much, but there was no "welcome" or "thanks for coming." It seemed like we were bothering him by checking in.

The staff was the most amazing thing about our stay at the Cadet!! All of the staff was friendly, informed, and helpful. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted. the hotel is in a fabulous location. We parked the car and didnt need to drive anywhere for 3 days. Hotel very well located. Very close to Lincoln Road. People are very thoughtful. Every day, placed fourth in gifts, such as seasonal fruits, chocolate, mineral water etc.. Very simple, but very welcoming. We are very grateful for the special attention we received.

this hotel is a hidden gem in miami beach. the quality of the service is first class at a great price! i highly recommend it!

I stayed at this hotel as it was very close the convention center and the Linciln Mall area. They had a wonderful breakfast out on a quiet patio each morning. The only negative was the loud street noise (St and Sun eve). I think this could be alleviated with an air conditioning unit with more fan noise to offset this. Otherwise a very pleasant stay

Nice little touches ie chocs, fruit on arrival, bottles of water. Location is excellent with plenty of restaurants nearby. We did not opt for breakfast so cannot comment on that. Bathroom was rather small but otherwise would definitely recommend it to you.

Points ++ : - situation - newspaper in the morning - piano - kindness of the reception Points - : - rooms a little bit small - no parking, price of nearest parking 25€/day - expensive breakfast

Fantastic Hotel, hidden among the higher priced "big boys" in South Beach. Wonderful service, perfect location, won't ever stay anywhere else. 1 block from the beach and Lincoln Mall. While this place is older, they have done a great job in the restoration. The rooms were very clean and nice and the staff was exceptional. It was a great find. And yes they do not have parking, but there was a lot nearby, It's a small hotel, but very cozy and friendly, Would definately consider staying there again..just don't bring any kids.

This is a small "boutique" hotel located one block off of Lincoln Road Mall and about a block and a half from the beach. This is an excellent location on Miami Beach as it is close to the beach, restaurants, shopping, art galleries. No need to pay the big bucks right on the beach when you can stay here for at least $100 less. The spa type pool was heaven. […] Only had one issue and that was with the hot water for our shower. I think our room was at the end of the hotel so it took quite a while before you could get hot water. The bathroom is small, but you are staying in a building that was built in 1941, is a piece of history and a good example of the art deco era. The parking is in a "pay" lot half a block from the hotel which is 24 hour supervised or there is a large parking garage approximately two blocks away. Hotel staff was very, very accommodating. Room is ample, but it is very comfortable and clean. The jacuzzi and patios are extremely beautiful and relaxing. GREAT location for exploring all of South Beach. Very much a boutique hotel.

a little noisey due to construction but a wonderful hotel and a great value. 3 minute walk to the beach and across the street from one of the most romantics hotels in Miami - Casa tua.

The hotel staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel has a good location, but there was road work going on right next to the hotel. It is a small boutique type hotel, with a small bar, and outside terrace for some food. The rooms are older and small, but comfortable and with modern conveniences. The bathrooms are small and tight..this would […] be the biggest issue for anyone expecting a Master Bath type of room...I would say it was no more than 4 by 7...so less than 30 sq ft. Although I only stayed one night, it was a very positive experience. The design was modern but warm and inviting. Ricardo and Mariana were super friendly and helpful and made me feel at home right away. Random side notes: I was pleasantly surprised to find a book about Buddhism alongside the traditional Holy Bible in the drawer. Convenient to get to the beach. Good deal for the price. But loud street construction going on right now. Services should not list complimentary breakfast. Hot tub not available in the evening since it is where dinner is served.

Room and bathroom are not so big, but enough when you only sleep there.

Our room and bathroom were small but very very nice. Service was excellent. A parking garage was easily accessible, less than a block away.

It is one of these hotels that make you feel at home. It's not only the small details but is is especially those details. You will find a personalized welcome letter in your room and a little box of chocolates on your pillow before you go to bed... I would definitively go back.

Charming little hotel, clean rooms, very comfortable. There was a small bowl of fresh fruit waiting for us when we checked in, and they gave us a small box with chocolate covered almonds at bedtime. Very conveniently located to the Lincoln Road Mall. I would definitely stay again and strongly recommend this location.

We arrived at the hotel after a long transatlantic flight and were welcomed by a lovely gentleman at reception who brought us to our room. The room was large, clean and had a lovely welcome note and fresh fruit which was a nice touch. We had a drink in the bar off reception that evening and were offered the terrace which was small but perfect. I was in Miami to attend a conference and was very pleased to find the hotel just over a block from the convention center, a little over one block to the ocean and a little over a block from a group of nice restaurants. While there was not a lot of space in the room and the bathroom was tiny, the location made up for any issues. The dinner I had one […] night was very nice out on the veranda. I was looking for something affordable in south beach and i have to say i was a little skeptical at first. The staff greeted us warmly and were exceptional our entire visit. Every aspect of the Hotel exceeded our expectations. Beautifully decorated, convenient, clean, lovely breakfast..a true gem.

Delighted with hotel. Personal touches-fresh flowers, bowl of cherries, chocolates, even free bottles of water. Refrigerator,walk in closet, flat screen TV. Staff was outstanding. We would definitely chose this hotel again if we ever venture back to SoBe. The location, condition of the hotel and staff were great. The only problem is that they have the worst bed sheets we have ever slept in. It's kind of like sandpaper. This was our only negative. They also have a pool going in shortly that should be great!
