Comfort Inn Near Legoland - Carlsbad

One exit away from Legoland, within a very short drive to both downtown Carlsbad and the beaches. Only two little complaints -- the bed in our room was too soft and offered no support at all, and the noise from I-5 was pretty loud (which I expected, since the hotel is right off the highway). We thought the room was terrific. Really surprised because, for the price, we were expecting much less. We were also worried about noise because the motel is adjacent to the highway. But the rooms are very well sound proofed. It was also terrific to have refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and hairdryer.

We stay here often and it is always great, so very comfortable, convenient to everything we need, and the front desk staff are always helpful, kind and accommodating. We just love it! Many people complain of freeway noise, and yes, it is right next to the freeway, but we have never been bothered by it at all. The hotel was very nice and clean but the noise from the freeway (right in front of the hotel) was close to unbearable. If you want a good nights sleep definitely do not stay here. I feel the rooms need to be better soundproofed. If that were the case my rating would be an excellent.

The property is located about 50 feet away and on grade with one of the noisiest freeways in Southern California. There are no noise barriers between the freeway and the hotel. As a result, the noise level is amazingly high, and continues all night long. Even behind closed doors and windows the noise is high. Not their fault, just a lousy location. Breakfast […] is included, but if you avoid carbohydrates and sugars be aware that there is nothing else to eat -- no protein, nothing. The staff was courteous and friendly. The room was very clean. I would recommend this place. The only negative was the freeway noise. If you opened your door it was there!

Pleasant , comfortable room. Reasonable price. Cheerful, pleasant staff.

This hotel is recently remodeled and very clean! It is right off the fwy so you will hear that. If you are bringing your family know that the pool is nice, (small pool) and the fwy is super loud where the pool is. There is a Vons grocery near by and many restaurants to drive to within a mile or two.

First, while the description says rooms come with free hot breakfast, they do not. It is a cold continental breakfast. There is a single waffle iron people can use, but all of the guests have to share it, it makes one waffle at a time and takes three minutes to make. So for a family a four to get four waffles, you have to wait for people in front of […] you then stand there for 12 minutes making them. The hotel is in the same city as Legoland, but about 3.5 miles away, not the 1.5 miles that is advertised. Room is fine, the two beds are comfortable, but they are full and not queen beds. This was an excellent hotel. It was clean, the room was large and even though it was facing the freeway, once we closed the window, we really couldn't hear the traffic. We didn't use the breakfast that was offered, but that was our choice and when looking at what they were offering, it looked just dandy! The hotel staff were all very friendly and check in was really fast.

The room was clean, but the property is located right next to the freeway and the constant traffic noise made it difficult to sleep at night. Hadn't stayed in Carlsbad before, so I was expecting more of a beach community feel. I was really happy with this hotel overall. Just two things that were not so great. It is literally right off the 5 so the noise was an issue. But we asked for a room on the other side of the hotel and with the door closed and the air running, we could not hear the traffic at all. The hotel was nice and convenient for a quick over-night getaway. I would recommend a little more toiletries in the bathroom, but overall it was a clean room. Good and friendly service.

My main concern was the cleanliness of the room and Comfort Inn met that standard. It's definetly no resort but we had no intentions of staying in the room all day. The location was excellent approx 30-min drive from Sea World and about 7-minutes from Legoland. We were very happy with the location of the hotel. The traffic noise was distrubing but we were right on top of I-5. The lobby smelled like onions, clerk said it was because they were cooking onions in the back.

I was pleasantly surpised by the hospitality of the staff. Very courteous and attentive. The gentleman at the front desk allowed for us to check in early which allowed for us to take advantage of Legoland for a longer period of time. The continental breakfast was great and the rooms were extremely clean and tidy. Fridge and microwave were a plus considering […] the "resort" we stayed at the night before did not provide these. Before booking this hotel, I read the reviews left from prior guests and was a little hesitant about what was written, but booked anyway. Our experience was one of the best that we have experienced. The front desk gentleman, Michael, was extremely pleasant and was more than happy to answer our questions, make sure that we had everything we needed and […] went out of his way to make sure that we were settled comfortably in our room. The room was very well kept and was very clean. The only drawback is the hotel is just off the freeway and upon exiting your room, you can hear the roar of the freeway. But when you close the door to your room - it is very quiet and you really don't notice the noise. I would recommend this hotel to travelers and we are returning in October and plan to stay again. room was confortable enough. but too much noise from the freeway. you could hear everything, i first thought someone cleaning with a lawn blower. but it was the freeway noise. they really do need to put a better insulation between the door jams to keep out the noise. if i did not have a long day and exstrememly tired, i would not slept.

Just one exit away from Legoland on I-5. Cozy home away from home, with limited number of rooms. So not a lot of people & not crowded. Great breakfast choices. Off-site, The Village Restaurant, with their great steaks and pies, is just a block from Comfort Inn. Good value for the money. Better than others in the same area. Much cleaner and quieter. Better overall value. Close to Legoland. The breakfast time should be extended until at least 10:00 am though. The Comfort Inn is always great! We stay there whenever we are in the area. It is close to the beach, the wonderful downtown Carlsbad shops, and all the terrific places around San Diego are close and easy to get to as well. nice hotel for the money, close to attractions & restaurants too

I chose this hotel due to the proximity to Legoland. It offered a free breakfast, free wireless internet, and free parking. The hotel has a small pool and is generally a small property, which is nice. The room had a refrigerator and microwave, and a very large bathroom. Very pleasant stay, comfortable and roomy. Room was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly. Minutes from Legoland and right off the freeway. Check out the nearby restaurant Senior Chubbys for great mexican food!

Very comfortable beds and pillows. Clean room and spacious for the 4 of us. Staff courteous and helpful. Swimming pool could be a bit bigger and is to close to the noisy freeway. Easy freeway access but freeway noisy at night unless you book a room in back (which we did). Enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

Very convenient to Legoland, the beach and Oceanside pier. Rooms were comfortable and cool on the hot weekend we were there. The breakfast included was a convenient start to the day. I appreciated that they continued to monitor the breakfast, adding additional product as needed. The free coffee and tea in the lobby all day was a nice touch, too.

Very comfy beds! Good breakfast spread, friendly staff. Quiet surroundings. Would stay again!

Pool was like bath water. It was fun for me and my 8 year-old.

The traffic noise was LOUD...but there were several other hotel choices along the same road, which means the noise level is probably the same....so of all of the nearby choices this was a GREAT hotel!!!

レゴ・ランドから 車で五分。解かりやすい場所にある。 車から 部屋までスム－ズに移動できるのは、大きなホテルには無い心地よさ。ＬＡ市内のホテルより親近感があり 暖かみがありました。部屋もやや広く感じ 家具もなにかホッとする。窓から 駐車場も見えるので 安心でした。 歩いて 五分の所に レストランがあります。三人で二人前を注文しましたが もう 充分な量でした。味も わかりやすいおいしさ。信号を渡ると 大きな雑貨屋とマ－ケットがあるので 食材を持ち帰って 部屋でも食べるといいかも。部屋には、電子レンジがあります。雑貨屋では、お酒が買えますから お部屋で一杯できます！高速道路の脇なので 確かに車の走る音は、聞こえますが すぐに慣れる程度です。ホテルよりいい 居心地の良さが 大好きになりましたよ。
