This hotel is right on the beach so location is awesome. We enjoyed walking right across the street to the beach. We didn't talk with the staff much, but they seemed friendly enough. I would go back there for another short stay at the beach.

This hotel was the most disgraceful place I have ever stayed in. I would not even let my pets stay there. It bothers me that Hotels.com would even list it as a possible place to stay. As they say "You get what you pay for".

This was the second nastiest most filthiest hotel I ever stepped foot in. the condition of the hotel was horrible. The room wall were filthy, tubs were black and disgusting. I had hair all over my bed. . .very nasty place! Hallway was dangerous the floors was missing carpet and nails were all over the place ugh! Poor housekeeping and management!

When we booked - no where did it say that there is a truck stop right behind the hotel! There were stains on the carpet I cannot identify and there were dirty windows (food splatter) that were not cleaned the whole 3 days we stayed. We checked in and was told that my payment from Hotels.com was denied so I had to give my credit card again - just to […] find out when i got home I was double billed. They could not care less that I have a confirmation from Hotels.com. 4 phones call later to a manager that did not return the calls and a treat to file a case with my credit card company did i finally get a call back just to be told to call Hotels.com and have them call the hotel with their account number. The room was MOSTLY clean, and the staff people we met were fairly nice, but the hotel itself was filthy, and sits right next door to a semi overnight parking area, So if you just want a place right off the highway to crash, and you feel confident in your abilities to protect yourself, the price is right. However, if you are looking to go have a fun […] time in Memphis, I would recommend you spend the extra $25 - $30 bucks and get yourself a room in town. nice stay, quiet, but covenant to lots of locations.

The sheets had not been washed from the previous occupant.

I spent two nights in this hostel. The price is very cheap and I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean, confortable, there is wifi access, TV. The area was safe. The location was convenient, we just had to cross the bridge to go to downtown Memphis. The only bad thing was a bad smell in the corridor when we arrived, but in the room, it was […] fine. Friendly staff, room looks clean but smelt odd which gave an unclean feel. Traffic and wind noise all night long. Better bring your own soap & shampoo.

This hotel is conveniently located right off the interstate and is relatively quiet. Unfortunately, the hotel is disgusting. There is no elevator and the carpets are badly stained. I was very satisfied during my stay in this hotel. it was clean and well maintained. Hotel staff are very well behaved and co-operative. I would like to stay in this hotel any time I visit this place.

I am fairly certain that there were crackheads and/or prostitutes using this hotel. Also, there were people in the parking lot begging for money.

If you like hotels with a muggy sensation and the smell of mildew that will permeate your suitcase and all of its' contents for days after, then this hotel is a must! Even better, when the light bulb in our bathroom burnt out, I was told I could come and pick up a bulb and replace it myself - shame on me for assuming I was a guest on vacation, when […] really I was working for free! And to top it all off, I had blood on my sheets that did not belong to me. I would have complained but it was the kind of hotel I was glad to leave without having any belongings stolen or mysterious charges show up on my credit card. I was hoping the reviews I read on trip advisor and hotels.com were sensational and unrealistic, THEY WERE NOT!!!! Thankfully I was out of the room 18 of 24hrs in a day and by the time I returned to lay down for the night, I was too exhausted to make a fuss over the blood on my sheet - the explanation or attempt to rectify it would likely have been a lot worse than covering the sheetwith the extra pillow :( Poorly maintained rooms and property, TV had no sound, and the staff were beyond indifferent. The rate was cheap - but not enough to make up for the discomfort of the stay. But if you're like me, and in reading all the previous comments you still hold out hope thinking people are overly sensational and that it can't be that bad - all I can say is, I look forward to reading your review of regret. I needed to be in downtown Memphis at the convention center early in the morning. This hotel was only 7 minutes away. It's not a terrific hotel, but it's cheap and convenient.

I guess I should have read a little about the surrounding neighborhood before booking. I booked at the last minute and needed to be close to the hospital. The hotel was dirty and the picture was deceiving.

It is terrible I've before. The dooor and window are broken, the bed is not clear and the floor is duty. It is terrible night to me.

This place was cheap and close to the highway, but if I had to do it again, I'd definitely pay a little more to stay somewhere else. While I assume/hope, the sheets and towels had been washed before our visit, they were definitely stained. Carpet in the staircase and hallway leading to our second floor room was stained. There was a window boarded up […] in the front of the hotel, which was disconcerting. Multiple cigarette burns along the outside of the tub. Tub faucet was in disrepair. When the shower was on, water would shoot at a 90-degree angle out of a random hole next to the tub faucet in addition to the shower head. We stayed in this motel as part of a road trip where we stayed at several similarly-priced places. We were just looking for a clean, safe place to sleep and were happy with every place we stayed except this one. Walked in-no one at the desk. We had 2 rooms only given 1. Had to ask again for second room. Rooms on second floor, no problem-non-smoking on second floor. But first you have to walk thru all the smell of smoke to get to the stairs. Room window was a piece of wood-guess window got broken and not fixed. Furniture very old and dirty looking. My wife drove by the hotel and immediately called me to cancel our reservations. She was scared due to the fact that the hotel had some broken windows, poor if any lighting and suspicious men outside. This would not be a hotel I would recommend for any single females traveling alone.

When we drove up, I thought, what have I done! Outside appearance of hotel appears very scarey and when you walk into the lobby the fruit flies are everywhere. The "breakfast" room is not as large or nice as it appears in picture provided on website. The suprise is the room. Carpet in lobby, hallways very dirty looking and hotel smells of cigarette […] smoke. But the room was very clean - we checked mattress, sheets, shower and it was spotless. Had trouble with my sheet as it was not a fitted (fitted was on the other bed) and the pillows sucked. Bring your own pillows!!! But again, our room was very clean. For the money its great. Devamı

It's a short hop across the river to all the attractions, but still meets the quality I have come to expect from the city. Which isn't much. Our room seemed to have a small swarm of fruit flies by the sink/vanity that became evident the next morning. When we first checked in, for some reason the bed was scooted up against the wall, and we had to center […] it back up to the headboard so I could store my bags against it. The bathroom doorknob was broken on the bathroom side as well, like the front part of the knob had been lopped off. Other than that, the shower was good & strong, and the rest of the room suited our purpose for the short stay. All in all, it wasn't great, but we've stayed in worse places. the receptionist didn't know how to great a guest. You can not help a guest while holding a personal conversation. The hotel room was comfortable and clean. They couldn't located the iron that they had given to another guest, but it seemed as if no one wanted to look for it. So we had to go purchase our own.

I'd read some of the earlier reviews, and assumed the late night calls from the front desk was an accident --- but like clockwork, they called up to my room at 1AM to "make sure I was there". I explained to the lady that I'd signed the paperwork and gave her a credit card and went to my room hours ago --- where would I be? And given I'd paid for the […] room, what difference did it make if I was there or not? When I asked why they would call a guest a 1AM in the morning was told "that's what they've got to do", which seemed to her a perfectly acceptable explanation. Something funny going on at this hotel -- would suggest MGT check it out....this hotel is in the middle of a large multi-station truck stop... Besides that, the place was a wreck. Storm damage from two months ago still leaves the front windows boarded, the place is pretty grungy, and the staff uninterested. The "free continental breakfast" consisted of a juice machine, coffee, and some donuts, plus a wafflemaker that couldn't seem to keep up with a small crowd. Devamı

When we pulled up outside the hotel, I thought it was shut down. Plywood on scattered windows throughout and tarp on the roof. Needless to say, the exterior was scary. Didn't really want to stay but was pressed for time. The staff was friendly and allowed me to view the room before checking in. It smelled musty/smoky, was small, had out of date decor, […] view of the truck stop parking but fairly clean. We chose this location because it was only 5 miles to downtown Memphis and less expensive than a hotel downtown. In the end, we shoud have paid the additional money for a downtown hotel because the cab fare one way into Memphis was $35. Rip-off!! Again, staff was friendly and helpful but the place is a DUMP! Can't be beat for the price. More convenient to most places in Memphis than downtown hotels, being between I-40 and I-55.

Front desk was rude. Provided a room with no internet - even after making sure that the room did have internet. Wake-up call that never came Sink plugs missing Just not a pleasant stay at all

I have stayed here before, and the price was excellent, and the staff SO NICE!!! I didn't llike the bed sheets, because the botton wasn't fitted, and it slipped around, but the room was small, but comfortable.

The phrase that "you get what you pay for" sometimes is definitely very relevant. I paid a low rate and that hotel was on right on track to this phrase. Hotel is pretty old small building w/only stairwell access to rooms (No elevator). It included only a couple of room amenities and a continental breakfast. It does not have a swimming pool. Breakfast […] only served until 9:00 a.m. It did have laundry facilities. The maid laundry area is 2 doors away from the front desk and someone owns parrots that works there. Could hear and see them through doorway upon travel to room upstairs. All the building's carpets are old and need replacing. My rooms dead bolt door jamb was difficult to work, needs adjusting, and the floor in front of the vanity sink area was buckled (upstairs room). The location of the hotel is good. It is just cross the bridge from the downtown Memphis. But there is a lot of road construction outside the hotel. The Wifi is fine. The breakfast socks, but it is expected from the cheap price. Overall rating is above fine.

THis was a very nice and friendly hotel. I was treated so nicely, and the breakfast was good, and the room was very nice for the price!!!

The surrounding area made me a bit uncomfortable.

It's right next door to a truck stop. It's very run down & not very clean at all. Will not ever stay there again.

This hotel is privately owned. Although old, it is clean and the staff have always been very nice. The hotel is next to a truck stop, but I have never been disturbed by any noise. Located next to a truck stop. Smoke fills the hallways and your room even if you are in a non-smoking room. Avoid even if just passing through for 1 night.

Don't come for the luxuary, this is a clean and safe stopping point.

We wanted a quick overnight stay on our way across the country. Basic accomodations were what we expected. We were very disappointed. The neighborhood was scary.The front desk was disorganized and unkempt. In the room, there were visible, unidentified stains on the carpet and a funny smell throughout. I wore flip flops the entire time, and slept on top of my own blanket. I made an effort not to touch any surface in the room. We didnt even eat the free breakfast. We just wanted out of there. have stayed here many times very reasonably priced for overnight stay and minutes to beale street and downtown memphis. not the newest hotel but clean,only complaint i have is bad smoke smell in hallways. will stay here again

Great value. 10 minutes to Memphis. Lots of truck traffic in the area, but it can't be heard in the room with the AC on.

There was a pee smell when you walk in the lobby that didnt go away....a roach on the bedside table. You get what you pay for.
