The first thing you encounter is the strong rotten milk smell from the area. Hotel staff was friendly and efficient at check in. The first room we checked into had a door for the adjoining room that wouldn't lock from our side. The outlet for the desk lamp had a short but it didn't matter because the lamp didn't have a bulb in it anyway, plugged computer […] into a different outlet. Pulled back sheets on bed and found a shoe print on sheets, so called the front desk for a sheet change. The front desk attendant offered to move us to another room. Our second rooms door looked like it had been kicked open as the safety latch was broken and the screws were pulled out of the door jamb. The sheets were clean but the mattress was terrible you could feel the springs. It wasn't until I wanted a drink of water I noticed that the two water glasses and one coffee cup were all dirty the coffee cup had dried creamer in the bottom of it. Was there only one night, we were there to see Taylor swift at tacoma dome and everything was great. Staff was very helpful, room clean and comfortable, and very convient to the dome. Would definitely recommend :-)

Where to begin. 1.There was a candy wrapper left under the side table. 2.There was a cigarette burn whole in the cover. 3.The room door didn't completely shut. 4.The bathroom towel matt was tattered. 5.The 2 chairs in the room at the table wiggled a bit too much. The hotel room is in reasonable good condition for the price except the computer in lobby for guest use is not working. The Hotel location is not very convenience, it is difficult to find a restaurant in the area especially in Sunday, most of them closed at Sunday and some closed at 5:00 pm

The staff was helpful and friendly, the rooms are in need of upgrading and amenities.

Great place but lots of truckers which meant it was very loud starting about 5 a.m. By loud I mean the people talking outside and in other rooms. Also we could hear footsteps from second floor.

Our "non-smoking" room reeked of smoke. We were there four nights and the maid service was pitiful. The neightborhood also gave me the creeps. My husband was sure he saw a drug deal go down in the parking lot.

The hotel grounds were very clean and the lobby very nice. Service was good - friendly. Our room was worn but clean. Still smelled strongly of cigarettes. The second night we found a foreign substance on a pillow that we'd not yet used and that was disturbing as we felt the sheets might not have been changed between visitors. We reserved two rooms, NON SMOKING. Both rooms smelt like smoke, the beds were ok, but the pillows were old. I could tell they had been washed, because they were clumpy. One of the toilets made noise all night and then backed up in the morning, causing us to be late for our plans for that day. The lady at the desk was on a personal phone call, neglecting […] her duties...I had to interrupt her while standing at the desk to ask if she had more orange juice for the breakfast bar. Devamı

The hotel has not been kept up at all. The wallpaper is peeling off of the shower. It was clean, so that was a plus, and everyone that worked there was very nice. The room had a damaged dead bolt lock that didn’t work, No HBO on the cable channels as advertised. Price was decent, but not great. I've stayed in far better hotels for much less

decent motel - can't really complain for the price - but not luxury accomodations - probably would not bring wife with me to this location, but okay for work when just need bed & showers.

1. Room smelled like a bowling alley. I had a non-smoking room but it WREAKED of cigarette smoke 2. The floor lamp's turn switch was completely broken off; I had to screw in the lightbulb to turn the light on 3. The hotel has not been upkept at all. The wallpaper is peeling off of the shower, the door doesn't seem to close all the way, and it looks like it's about to fall down. It was clean, so that was a plus, and everyone that worked there was very nice. Because of the state of the room I will not be staying there again.

We stayed at the HoJo in Fife in order to attend a concert at the Tacoma Dome. We didn't expect much, and that's what we got. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean enough, but the room phone didn't work, the room key didn't work, check-in was chaotic, and the coffee pot was empty in the morning. The worst part was the so-called "shuttle" to […] the venue, which was less a shuttle and more like two people in cars making trips back and forth for $5 a head. We were late to the show despite attempting to leave an hour early and despite running half the distance to the venue. The return "shuttle" was nonexistent, resulting in a rainy 2-mile walk. Had we known what the "shuttle" actually was, we would have made other arrangements, saved money, and been at the concert on time. At least the show was great. Devamı

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is only several minutes from the Tacoma Dome which was better than I thought from the description on Hotels.com, however the room was older and worn looking. We had problems with our door lock and maintenance was working on it late in the evening to fix it as it was coming apart. It was a basic room with […] nothing overly offensive nor impressive. Just a nice comfortable hotel, great value for the money. Very quiet and such pleasant employees. Will certainly stay again.

When I use a hotel, I just want a clean comfortable stay. This hotel filled that bill, not a lot of frills and extras, but it is comfortable clean and affordable. The employees went out of their way to make sure I found the meeting place I had to find and printed out a map for me. without their help it would have been much harder to find.

This hotel has high mileage. Literally, there were six 18-wheeler trucks hogging up the majority of the parking. When we entered the room, we instantly knew it was worn down. The furniture was dusty, damaged and the carpet was riddled with stains. My wife had to 'hover' over the toilet seat to use the restroom. The bed smelled like cigarettes and we […] don't smoke. the beds were hard and uncomfortable along with pillows. the area alot of truckers in area bbq in parking lot not recommended for families but rooms were very clean

We really enjoyed our stay at this Howard Johnsons. The staff were friendly, and our room was cleaned, beds made, and fresh towels delivered each and every day of our four day visit. Not something you get at all hotels. We were able to access both Tacoma and Seattle easily from this location, and found great restaraunts close by for all of our meals. A decent hotel with 2 computers for use and small breakfast area.

We arrived late in the evening and found that many of the rooms around the hotel had parties going on. People were standing out in front of there rooms and drinking alcohol. When we got into our room and settled, we put our 6 month old down to sleep and we soon followed. The room next to us was loud and still partying at 1 in the morning. The front […] desk was notified and did very little to quite them down until the phone call. The next morning we left the room to go sight seeing and when we returned, we found that we were locked out of our room. A cleaning person was two doors down and we asked if she could let us in. She replied, “Oh, you decided to stay another night” in which we replied, “Yes, we’re paid for two!” The front desk was contacted and they two asked if we were planning on staying another night. Our room was not cleaned, had to ask for towels, said it had microwave & refrigerator, did not,could not park near our room, had to park in front on one side and lug our luggage around the building all the way to the back of the other side,wallplate hanging off the wall, would not give us a triple A or senior discount, staff not accomodating, was bitten […] by something during the night, juice machine out of order, did not have items they listed for breakfast, worst hotel we stayed in Devamı

The good: Staff was friendly, the maintenance man seemed very busy, was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. However he was quick and helpful but looked like he had a million issues to deal with. Bed was comfortable. The bad: Key card didn't work, insuffiecient parking as there are a lot of truckers that were taking up a large portion […] of stalls. I heard 2 incidents of people not having a place to park. Toilet didn't work. Some TV channels had video but no audio. Walls and doors had holes punched in them that were painted over not fixed. I've stayed at this hotel before and liked the room. It's been awhile since that time so i wasn't sure if i'd like it now but it was cheaper than the other hotels i stayed at so i thought i would give it a try. It was a great room for the price and it also had a comfy couch as well as the king size bed. If i ever need a hotel for some reason i would […] choice this one. Devamı

Nice room except that the refrigerator did not work. Still a great bargain.

Room stunk on our first one moved still stunk but less - would not recomend this motel
