The price is right if you don't mind hearing your neighbors or sleeping in an overused bed. The walls are paper thin, so you can almost hear a conversation in the next room. Be prepared to be awakened by a clock radio or a late night tryst. Also, the king size bed was really depressed in the middle. On a better note, the staff was great and very accomodating. […] We were upgraded to the king size bed from two queens and a front desk host provided a snack in the late evening instead of making us wait for the morning. The continental breakfast was muffins and pastries, something you would get at a 7-11. Not really living up to one's expectations. It was a smaller hotel and older in appearance, but the staff were very friendly and the room was clean. I have spent more money at large chain hotels that wouldn't compete with this one.

The hotel is convenient to my son's place in Arlington. It is close to the brew pub across the street. That is what the hotel has going for it. Parking is tight behind the hotel. The elevator is ancient and small. The room adequate at best. The bathroom is small and water pressure is minimal. We did not complain as we were using the shower at 5:00 am […] and leaving very early. We will not return! Devamı

This hotel was very clean and quiet. I'll definitely stay here again when in the DC/VA area. It's not the most up-to-date hotel, but I'll take clean and quiet over the most modern amenities any day and night.

The Inns of Virginia are suitable only when has a pressing reason to stay in Falls Church for one night. While the front desk people were cordial and helpful, the surroundings looked dowdy and I could hear through both walls. Nothing was terribly wrong, but the hotel looked like it had been done cheaply..

Friendly staff, free parking and clean room. Everything you need from a low priced hotel.

The hotel is not the best, but it was VERY convient and VERY well priced.

The hotel itself is pretty basic. The continental breakfast is rudimentary (coffee, juice, pastry), and there isn't a proper eating area in the lobby, so you pretty much have to take it back to your room. However, the location has much to recommend it. It is near the center of a pleasant, close-in suburb, as opposed to an outlying freeway exit. There […] is a good selection of restaurants (Greek, Indian, etc.) up and down the street, not to mention a very good brewpub right across the street. Not only is downtown Washington accessible by both highways and public transit, but so are important suburban locations such as Tysons Corner and Old Town Alexandria. Devamı

Not too far from the Metro, can get a bus to Metro. Free parking on site, breakfast is a juice cup and pastry only. Quiet. Not a good choice for quick access to the National Mall.

I stayed here while on a business trip, but the conference was in DC downtown. Traveling back and forth was a pain, it took one hour door to door, but I road the bus and metro rail system. I suppose I could have taken a taxi everyday, the cost was higher than I willing to pay. The room though, was clean. Sheets being clean is a big deal to me, and they […] were. In some hotels I've felt like I needed to go to sleep fully clothed. The rug and bathroom seemed good enough to walk around with socks on. The television was adequate and had cable. In the morning there was juice, muffins and coffee in the entrance. There wasn't anywhere to sit, but I was on the go anyway. The walls seemed less sound proofed than I'd like, which I was worried about, but it was quiet enough to get to sleep. I could see if there were some really noisy people that it could be a problem. The management seemed nice enough, and there are card readers on the outside door so you can get in at 3 in the morning, though I never noticed a time when someone wasn't at the front desk. The hotel is a thin and long structure, ugly architecture and seems a bit shabby when you walk in. There was also a lingering smell of smoke in my nonsmoking room; so, if that bothers you, I don't see that going away anytime soon. The area around the hotel is nice as well, it seems like medium income with higher income moving in. There is a Panera right across the street, and a CVS, bar, several restaurants and grocery store within a half-mile. I walked back from the train station at odd hours of the night and never felt threatened or uneasy. On the whole, it is good enough to go back to, if price is an issue and you don't mind not being right next to downtown DC. Devamı

The location of this hotel is good with plenty of decent, affordable dining options very close by. Free parking in the hotel lot was appreciated. We used the hotel as a base to visit DC. The train stations (West Falls Church & East Falls Church) are nearby but you will need to either walk or take the bus as the parking lots at each station fill up early. […] The West Falls Church station is more walkable. The hotel itself was clean but the decor is a bit tired. The elevator made weird sounds, we used the stairs for the most part. I kept thinking what a cute, fashionable boutique hotel this could be converted to, but then the cost would skyrocket out of my reach! Everyone at the hotel was helpful. It's right across the street from a bus line in case you don't have a car. It's a great alternative to the big chains.

We saw European visitors, athletes, and people in fuel efficient cars. The location is quiet, if on a busy street. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and this hotel is in the business strip of a residential neighborhood. It's older, which is good if you like a mix of independent restaurants. We found a classic Greek/Italian place, Angelo's, that […] stays open until 11pm. The area is 60/40 independent vs. chain food establishments. Paint was fresh, newer tile. My only comment is that, like many other hotels, the white grout on the bathroom floor could use a soaking in Oxyclean. Why do hotels use white grout on the floors? Otherwise, the room appearance and cleanliness was fine. Staff was resposive, friendly and helpful. There was a problem with the heating/cooling unit, and a male staff member accompanied by a female attendant came to fix it while my daughter was alone in the room. The wireless internet worked well, as did everything else in the room. This is a class of hotel that is becoming more popular for the traveler who does not require a brand name hotel with amenities that announce luxury. I enjoy those, if I can get a good deal, but if not, this hotel with much lower rates has most all of the comfort without the big pricetag. I have stayed in name brand chains with rooms no better than this. All rooms have a microwave and refrigerator, a big plus. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend this hotel. Please note that within its luxury class the rating is high. High rating does not mean the rooms are like the Ritz Carlton. I stayed in London in a hotel with a tiny room for one, so a smaller room does not disturb me. We were in town to go out most of the time. This is not a standard chain type place, but the savings more than outweigh the few differences. I don't eat pastries or eggs, so the only type of hotel breakfast I like is if they have fruit and bacon/sausage. One pays quite a lot more for that type of room! Pleasant, professional staff. Convenient to Metro rail system. Craft brewery across the street with good sandwiches. Nice large room with relevant amenities. The only problem was the location of the toilet tissue holder. Would return again when in D.C. area.

The Inns of Virginia, Falls Church, is an economy hotel of good value with friendly management, clean rooms, and very good location for trips in to DC by metro. We used it as a jumping off spot for trips into DC and surroundings over five days. We had car, so appreciated the free parking. The West Falls Metro station is just about 1.5 miles away -- […] a half-hour walk for the hearty on a nice day or a 5-minute drive, a few block off Rt. 7. From there, one is about 15 minutes from the DC downtown. Parking was $4.50 at the Metro. We got "unlimited short trip week passes" for $32 which was great for our five days of jumping on and off the train at various locations. Our two Queen-size beds filled much of the room, but we were there to sleep, not to dance! Air-conditioning worked very well; beds were comfortable. A small round table (about 3 ft. in diameter) was adequate as a desk, with two straight-back chairs and floor lamp. There was no "softer" seating / couch, but that was not a problem for us. There was easy, free wireless internet access. The bathroom was clean and adequate, with good pressure from the shower. The neighborhood is tree-lined, semi-residential, with a Panera and a Mad Fox Brewery right across the street for meals, as well as other local shopping and eateries. There would be nothing much for children to do at this place, but for an inexpensive stop for a business traveller or for affordable, no frills, overnights for daytime touring, the hotel works very well. It's hard to rate this hotel. It has a great location (good neighborhood), a friendly staff, and the room was pretty clean. However, the hotel itself looks like a place that should rent rooms by the hour. It desparately needs an renovation and some new carpet in the hallway. Inns of Virginia, Falls church was perfect for what we needed--a clean, quiet, comfortable place to sleep with easy access for sight-seeing in D.C. The rooms were small but adequate with great T.V., microwave and ref. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with area information. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee, o.j., and packaged […] rolls. We opted to go across the street to Panera Bread for an egg, bacon, cheese, sausage, etc. biscuit with coffee. We got a great pizza across the street one night. Mc'D's and Burger King were within a couple of blocks and several restaurants were a short drive away on the same street.. The bus stop was across the street but we chose to drive to the West Falls Church metro a few blocks away. A 45 min. ride took us to the Smithsonian station. and you won't be disappointed. Its an older but well kept hotel on a main road. Its close to DC-about 1/2 hour drive. The Mad Fox brewery is directly across the street and is is fantastic!

People at the front desk were very nice, but the hotel is not worth two stars: our room was rather small compared to same-price hotels in the area of Washington DC and the A/C was very noisy. Also, the "complimentary continental breakfast " was very disappointing: just a few muffins, orange juice in boxes and coffee at the reception.

I thought breakfast was an advertised feature. Must have been wrong --- Coffee & a muffin doesn't even qualify as a "continental breakfast.'' Room personnel kept taking plastic cups, soaps & shampoos and forgetting to replace them. Location was okay but it was further from the airport than I thought.

Nearby access to Route 66. Easily traveled to concert at Wolftrap in 30 minutes. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Good value for the cost.

A comfortable hotel with some nice surprises - complimentary Internet; friendly staff; off street parking (if there is a problem parks can be found for you) ; location - in a quiet residential area and close to good eating places It is not up there for amenities or particularily close to the city but it is good for a stopover between travel legs.

It's a nice, clean hotel not too far from the city that's got reasonable rates for the location. The people that run it kind of remind of something out of a small town, but are very nice. The area is nice, but it's not as close to the West Falls Church metro station as you'd think, I'd suggest taking the bus to the station. Also, there are no liquor […] stores nearby, and I don't think I saw a bar either. Continental breakfast is decent coffee, and prepackaged muffins and pastries. Great location - close to the Metro and you can't beat the price. Nice micro-brewery across the street with great food and nice people. The room was very clean, everything was freshly painted. The hotel is directly across the street from the Metrobus stop--great. Only 2 miles from the Metrorail system--also great. It is an older hotel with small rooms but ok if you are not going to be spending the day in it. The only major criticism is the smell of cleaning fluids in the main hallways. The Inns of Virginia in Falls Church is a very good value for the money. Clean, comfortable, close to the Metro and in a nice little neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay there.

Inn of Virginia Falls Church is a very convenient distance from downtown DC and also the city of Alexandria and the Amtrak station. I drove...there is free parking in the hotel's lot.....and met family members at the Amtrak station in DC. If you are comfortable driving in downtown DC, it is a quick trip from this hotel. There are a number of restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel, and a Panera for morning coffee. The hotel breakfast is packaged muffins and rolls. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. This is a smalll 32 room hotel. It was booked up every night of our stay. Rooms are smallish...a tight but manageable fit for my two sisters and me. As long as you don't over-expect, you shouldn't be disappointed. You get what you pay for--reasonably priced hotel in the DC area. I would stay here again. Plus staff was friendly. Minuses pretty much everything else. Almost no room to move in the parking lot, or the shower stall for that matter or the elevator either come to think of it. This hotel needs new: VENTILATION (!), carpets, shower curtains and hardware, and elevator (which made noise and sudden motions that would have been funny if it were […] not suspended 30 or more feet from the ground). I was literally concerned about touching the floor barefoot, and did not. This hotel seemed to come straight out of the Eastern Bloc, circa 1960. Not a two star hotel, not a two star experience. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. This was not a resort, but a reasonably-priced, clean, convenient hotel to stay. It is just what we needed. Bus stops are within 1/4 of a mile, and a Metro station was about 1 mile away. Several restaurants, grocery, pharmacy are all in easy walking distance. Great hotel convenient to the meetings I was attending. This is not a fancy hotel but it is comfortable, the staff is superb and the rates, compared to the surrounding area, are great. When I check out I inadvertently left the headset to my cell phone at home. I returned about three hours later and told Mike at the desk what had happened. He immediately […] left the desk went to my floor and asked the cleaning staff if they had found my headset. When they said they had not, like most hotels, he could have stopped there. Staffer was friendy and helpful. Well located for excursions to DC. Hotel is designed for lilliputians. Tiny hallway and rooms with inadequate ventilation and tiny non opening window. Housekeeping not great. Air conditioning throttled. Might work for those immune to claustraphobia.

Room was very clean, is in a great location, and is well-maintained. However, the room, and especially the bathroom, were very small. Given the price and the location, it is still a good value.

Staff was friendly but the hotel was definitely old. While the room was clean, the halls did smell musty. The "contiental" breakfast was simply Sara Lee pre-wrapped danishes and muffins put out on a plate. The price I guess reflected the condition of the hotel - basic but clean

Hotel was in a great location and was easy to find. Only complaint was that the hallway smelled very strongly of some type of cleaner. Did not penetrate our room, however. Continental breadfast was pretty cheezy - prepackaged muffins and danish with coffee - no other options. And noplace close for a full breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel during a recent trip to DC. It's the perfect little hotel for people on a budget . The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a nice little parking lot off to the side (free to hotel guests) with ample space, which is nice to see in areas where off-the-street parking is a luxury. The metro station is just […] a short drive away. Parking for all day is only $4.50 for all day, or free on the weekends. The train ride into the city only takes about 25 minutes. They have a decent sized TV in the room, free wi-fi, and a little mini-fridge/microwave combo unit. If you have a lot of electronic devices (cell phones, laptops, GPS) bring your own power strip, because there are not a ton of outlets. All four of us had to charge our phones one night and we had to unplug the fridge in order to do so. Outlet issues aside, this was a great hotel at a great price. I would definitely stay there again.
