Wonderful, room was clean, food was great. Staff wonderful helpful kind can't say enough great things.

Very pleasant check in 4/27/12 pm. Very reasonable rate. Nothing fancy at all but a good place to get a night's sleep. Free internet and breakfast is a nice plus. Parking fee was explained in advance and I had seen it in reviews so I was not surprised.

Rather dated but clean. Loved the breakfast and location. We lost several dollars in a vending machine and the staff cheerfully refunded it immediately.

The room was quite a bit smaller than any previous rooms we have been in. I was quite surprised to find it had no refrigerator. We could really have used one.

Comfort Inn is conveniently located near Sea World, restaurants, grocery stores, and Balboa Park. Although on the small side, the room was adequate for 2 adults and 2 children on bunk beds. We made use of the stove and mini fridge. Also, we enjoyed the free breakfast buffet and use of the pool.

Convenient location. Somewhat rundown facilities. Good breakfast. Beware of parking fees ($8.00 per night). Desk staff was very helpful.

Room was adequate but carpet felt damp. Tiny bathroom/shower. Heated outdoor pool was not heated as advertised. Had to pay for parking (not advertised). Free breakfast was a zoo,not a well designed area with people scrambling over others to get items. Convenient location to get to attractions, though.

I booked a room with a queen bed and bunk beds - it did not state anywhere when booking that the bunk beds had a maximum capcity of 100lbs. They should have stated that. The room was incredibly small. You could not see the TV from the bunkbeds. The bed was broken so it was at a slant. The airconditioning unit was the oldest I have ever seen and was […] loud but it was needed since the room was incredibly musty smelling. The breakfast area was filthy and the food was not appetizing at all. I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone. I would rather pay more money for a nicer hotel then try to go cheap. Devamı

Had a good stay after a cold night...

It's an old hotel right off the freeway. It's just not very clean and it smells. The rooms are small and smelly and it's just hard to feel comfortable. They also charge each night for parking so be aware of that.

It was right off of the freeway so that was a good thing. I was for some reason given a handicap room. Staff were slightly off putting. No stores in walking distance. But a diner in the parking lot. Room was clean no complaints there.

I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites in San Diego in the Hotel Circle. It was a very unpleasant stay. As soon as we checked in both rooms had very bad smells like wet dog. There were so many stains in the carpet, there was even spider webs on the cieling right above the bed. Our first morning we went to the front desk to ask were the breakfast […] that was included was and there was another hotel guest there also and the hotel employee told us theres not a breakfast. the cleark at desk Rosie was very rude and very short. Because of her I will never stay at your hotel again. Was never told about 8 dollars a day for parking. Bfast was the only good thing about this place When i visit San Diego again I will find a better place to stay

This hotel is not fancy in any way but is in a great location and has a clean pool. The complimentary breakfast was beyond our expectations and had great food. The rooms a bit too small though. Also, be aware they do charge for parking.

Neat Location in a valley along I-8. Well kept hotel with pool and breakfast.

The room was nice, very clean, enjoyable stay. Only issues I had was I had stayed for a week, gone to check out and asked the front desk for change. Was shown by the worker at the desk he had more than enough change to break my 10. But "Needed" the change. Others have talked about how good the breakfast is and after staying there I now know why. Staff was nice. Pool was heated. Great little getaway spot. My family and I got the "Suite" room, which was two rooms together. The room with the king size bed had a nice kitchen area complete with electric stove top, real dishes, and dinner table for four. We weren't impressed with our stay at this hotel. The outside garbage cans were over-flowing and so stinky. Garbage was piled on the ground in bags next to it. The room was fine and clean, although noisy at night but little things such as not being told we would be charged $8.00 for parking and the garbage issue leave lasting impressions.

Location was right off freeway -- there is an identical one across the freeway so be sure you know which one is your hotel. It was close to everything we needed although if you want to be in the heart of the city, you would need another place. We (my husband and I ) decided to have a weekend getaway and love san diego, so I looked into plces to stay where we had been before nad this Comfort inn had a great deal and alon with the great deal comes a breakfast every morning. a great way to get our day started adn not even have to fight traffic to find it. The rooms were fine. We rented a "suite". What we got was 2 connecting rooms. It was fine, just not what I would call a suite.

Overall the room is good. However if you are staying in a room downstairs you can hear the people upstairs walking around. So when the people above us left at 6:00am we could hear them. i enjoyed the place

We were charged an extra $8. per night for parking. This is a first in all my years staying in a motel. The continental breakfast was great. I do give them credit for that. No outlets in the room for my computer. Had to unplug a lamp. Heater was noisy and dirty.

The hotel was fine but you could definately tell it was once a smoking room. I could still taste the smoke in my mouth. Also the room A/C would not run correctly. For the little time we were there though it was fine and served its purpose.

Comfort Inn is not one of your Luxurious fancy hotel but for the price it really very reasonable. The only problem I encountered was the location of the room that they gave was right next to the guest laundry room whe you can hear the washers and dryers running.

When i read the reviews to this hotel i expected at least to be decent, come to find out this hotel was very dirty. The sheets had a yellow stain penetrating all through the mattress, not to sanitary. The carpet was very dirty, cousine was walking on her white socks and they ended up black. Also, the shower tub would not drain the water, it would get […] stuck in the tub for a while until finally would drain slowly. I called the front desk to notify them and they said they would send a maid to come and check out the sheet problem.. she never came... i love comfort inn hotels and i prefer to stay at choice hotels because i'm a member and for the most part i've had pleasant experiences. This hotel itself is right off the 8fwy and is very close to the historic old town, ocean beach, sea world, etc. The price for the room (one king bed) was very reasonable considering it was the holiday season but […] other than the fair price there isn't much to boast about. this particular comfort inn wasn't so comfortable. our non-smoking room wreaked of cigarettes and we had a couple burn holes in our comforter, there was no mini fridge or microwave which you would think a family hotel would provide as most comfort inn & suites do. There wasn't enough parking for the amount of people staying at the hotel and we had to park a good distance from our room; we didn't even have kleenex in our room. upon arrival i asked for late check-out and was denied even though it says on the their website that they offer late check-out. then in the morning when i called to complain about the kids jumping up and down on the beds in the room above ours at 7:30am and then again at 9:17am after they continued to run up and down the hotel hallways and stairwell directly outside our room was i given late check-out (did i mention i'm a faithful choice hotels member). needless to say i was not a happy camper. but the thing that i found most odd was that the ice machine was padlocked and inaccessible after certain hours. that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever! oh wait and i almost forgot at 9:30am we had housekeeping knocking on our door and when we didn't answer because we were sleeping she continued to unlock our door w/ her master key! excuse me who does that when check-out isn't even until noon?! she even came back at 11:30am knocking again! NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE WILL I STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN NOR WILL I EVER RECOMMED IT TO ANYONE! Location was great. Room was old fashioned and the free breakfast buffet was just okay. Scrambled eggs, waffle maker, cereal. Pay $8 per night to park your car outside of your room.

First of all the room smelled gross. The sheets on the bed were dirty and to top it all off the head board on the bed fell off when my son was getting in to bed. Finally when we left and told the front desk employee they completely acted like they did'nt hear us just gave us our receipt and sent us off no apology at all. Great service clean room' great location

Upon check-in, I found out about the Parking Fee of 8 dollars, with a cash deposit of 50 dollars or a debit fee of 20 dollars! The desk clerk said it catches everyone by surprise since it is in small print. I almost cancelled but was to tired to argue the point. The room was okay, not bad, not good, but the carpet was a bit questionable so we kept our […] socks on. Also, the room was close to the ice machine and the "party" upstairs kept us up late. I finally called the front desk and complained and they said they would get "Security" to talk to the noise makers (two rooms worth). Not much changed but it did quiet done some around 2:00am. Hotel and room quality was good for the price. Room was clean and plenty of space. Only real negative I can think of, TV remote did not work very well and parking lot very tight. Upon entering the room it smelled of chemicals, turns out they were trying to get rid of the 5”-6” roach looking bugs greeting you as you exit the shower. My second night was in the ADA Accessible room, the tile floor in this room left black foot “prints” on the bath towel from sliding my feet across the floor.

Great hotel for very reasonable price. I actually book adjacent hotel and when I got there I realized that they charge a daily fee for parking. I canceled the reservation and book this one instead. I towed my boat (small enough that fit in a parking space) with me and don't want to pay double parking fee at next door hotel. This hotel also has a large […] parking area that you could even park an RV if you have one with you. I normally come to this area several times a year and would surely come back to this hotel again if they keep the same low rate. I am glad I found this hotel. The only complain I have is the bed is a little hard (I guess because I have memory foam mattress at home) and the pillow is too thick. My neck is a little hurt in the morning. I like other hotels where they have two different pillow thickness availabe. Devamı

At the beggining the reception guy was not very welcoming, but eventually showed he wanted to help and was very polite and tried to help on specific requests. Breakfast was good and the place was clean, food looked fresh and with good flavor. The swimming pool was clean, nice and relaxing. My family and I enjoyed staying there, plus it's just 5 miles […] from the beach. I would stay there again. Devamı
