DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Washington DC - Silver Spring - Silver Spring

Arrived at 8:30 in the evening and room wasn't ready due to housekeeping problems. Next day, missed room cleaning and asked for towels at front desk. Never delivered. Concierge was pleasant and did compensate for room delay with complimentary breakfast passes. Housekeeping appears to be a serious problem at this hotel. The only issue was house cleaning not replacing the coffee cups and coffee. They also didn't replace the bathroom mat or hand wash towels which were left on the floor for that purpose. Parking was easy. I didn't mind the extra cost which I knew about in advance. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood which is extremely clean. Very hard to find any trash […] on the ground at all. It's close to the shopping/restaurant area and we felt very safe at night walking after midnight on a Saturday night. It's also not too far from the Metro which we took to DC. Devamı

The hotel was very nice, amenities were convenient and clean. Its a not within walking distance to much but the Metro is not a far drive. Our only complaint was the thin walls. We arrived before 5 bus loads of soccer kids and ultimately checked out shortly after because of the noise. We also requested a double room but because of the kids they were […] all booked. Hotels.com is always helpful in finding a solution and we checked in to a less noisy and more comfortable hotel. I would recommend this hotel. It was clean and well kept. Devamı

I stayed at this hotel to attend a show at the Filmore, which is right across the street. Initially, I was kind of frustrated with the people at the service desk because they took awhile to greet me. There were two women at the desk, one was helping other customers and the other was at the desk doing who knows what. She could have been doing something […] important, however she did not take the time to say "Hello. I will be right with you". She did not say anything to me until she was finished what she was doing and I was standing there for five minutes. I would have rated the service a 5 if she had greeted me. The rest of the service was exceptional. When we went to our room and tried to leave, we noticed that the door would not lock. We called the front desk and they sent maintanence up there. The two guys were very friendly and could not fix the lock. They contacted the front desk and told them to move us to another room. The guy then told us that someone would be bringing us a key to another room soon. The lady from the front desk called back and asked us to send the maintanence guy down to get our keys to our new room. He gladly did so and came back with the key and helped us move our belongings to the next room. He was such a nice guy. The rooms were beautiful. I only have a few complaints about some dirt marks on the chair and some dirty finger prints on the bathroom door. Other than that the hotel was spotless. The hotel is walking distance to all of the shopping and dining areas. The hotel also has a nice restaurant located inside. We went down there for drinks at night and then breakfast in the morning. The breakfast buffet was 15 dollars and was very good. The breakfast staff were very friendly and attentive. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and I would definitly stay again. I would just recommend this hotel work on their front staff's service because everyone else was wonderful. Devamı

thank you for your friendliness and kindness when we arrived. the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel service was impeccable. And we ate in the restaurant, Sergios' delicious, We would return , any time.
