"Decent with some very annoying things"
Let me start with the good. This hotel had a great breakfast selection, the beds were comfortable, and I liked the fact that they had flat screen TVs with a decent cable selection and I also though the fact they kept fruit out all day for guests coming and going was a very nice touch. Now for the not so good. This hotel has got to have THE WORST water […] pressure of any hotel I have ever stayed at... I mean.... THE WORST. The second annoying thing about this hotel is that their parking lot has the smallest parking spaces I have ever seen. It was like they tried to fit 70 parking spaces in a lot that could only hold 50. They are literally so tiny that each night we would find at least 5-10 parking spots that were empty because the adjacent cars had to park right on the line. Normally I would blame the driver, but this time it was clearly because the hotel tried to squeeze too many parking spaces into the hotel. This is not a problem until you realize their parking lot is not set up well and only one side faces the entrance, so you will have a decent walk if you arrive late to the hotel. It was quite annoying, especially since we had to haul so much gear inside. If you are traveling light, this may not be an issue. The hotel is also very dated and not up to the standards I expect from a Hampton Inn. Devamı

"Just overnight but nice"
we just stayed over 1 night visiting family in Tampa. As suggested by other users hotel lived up to its rep. Clean, comfortable and courteous. Room ready right at 3 pm. Good restaurants and amenities nearby. Would stay again
"basic hotel in convenient locale"
Just a good basic hotel in a very convenient location on Rocky Point. Great free bfst buffet. Great for a short stay at a decent price. Pool is small and no view but about half the price of other hotels in Tampa

Very nice clean room!! I am a flight attendant so i usually stay in this chain... Clean rooms always!!! White clean sheets, clean towels.... Went with my wife and kids.... Price reasonable!!!

this hotel is beginning to age. However it is clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and VERY helpful staff. surrounded by newer and more expensive hotels. next door if Bahama Breeze resturant which is great.

"Hotel in Tampa Bay - Double Tree"
The Double Tree hotel was close to all the must see & eat places. The staff was very helpful and polite. I will seek this hotel again when I return to the Tampa Bay area.
"sleeping in a cloud"
I've been staying at Marriots and Best Westerns and not sleeping b/c of the beds/mostly pillows. This bed was like sleeping in a cloud and finally a pillow with perfect stuff factor! Unfortunately it was a very quick stay b/c I could have slept hours more. Great free breakfast w/healthy options and cut-up fresh fruit, unlike the Marriots and BWs. "Surprisingly clean & comfortable!"
Based on other reviews, i was very suprised at how clean and comfortable this hotel was...especially for the price. The linens were of high quality and the duvets are washed after every use. The room was simple, clean and quiet. Hampton Inn offers complimentary snacks, fruit, coffee & tea 24 hours which is a really nice touch. The location is close […] to the airport but you can walk to various restaurants or go outside for a walk or run. I was mistakenly charged for a phone call and when I called in inquire about the charge the person at the front desk apoligized and had the charge reversed. "Nice place/location"
Very clean, great breakfast, friendly staff. Close to airport and multiple highways to beach/downtown. Not a 'destination hotel' in itself...small pool/etc...but very clean/comfy and handy location.

'we had a cruise package and the shuttle picked us up quickly from the airport and the next morning took us to the port without any problems. Hotel was next door to a lovely seafood restaurant. don't remember the actual name, something Breezey It was a lively place and very good food. We recommend it. The morning breakfast at hotel was adequate and […] presented nicely. Staff was very courteous. One regret though, at check in they give you vouchers for shuttle from ship to airport. Hotel was average for it's genre and parking was tight, but we enjoyed the location for it's quietness and ease of access to other areas.

This is an excellent cost-savings alternative if you have a conference at the airport Marriott in Tampa or need a location within 10 minutes (with traffic) of the airport. Hampton Inn has a shuttle to the airport if needed, but there is also ample FREE parking if you drive in. Easy to get to from major roadways. "The Hampton-Rocky Point, Tampa, Fl"
This hotel is prime time. Clean, continental breakfast with walkaround help to offer you water or snack bars, television, free newspapers and the food is great. The staff is always polite. Housekeeping is extraordinary here. And the location . . . you are just minutes away from Clearwater, St Petersburg, downtown Tampa. I would recommend this hotel. The breakfast was good and Jvette, who works breakfast is AWESOME!!! She is the best thing going on at this hotel. Very accomidating and friendly. Went out of her way to get us things and made sure we didnt need anything. The pool was very small!! and cold!!!

I got a very fair rate, I think, primarily because the Tampa Bay Bucs were not in town the weekend I stayed. Also, they are renovating the hotel which will be good for the future. From the moment I entered the lobby, I was really happy I chose to stay here. The parking lot was very small and I got a good spot so I did not want to leave and loose it! I am actually glad I stayed. I travel a lot on business and I really just want to find a nice, comfortable, clean room at a good price. This hotel fit the bill and then some. Friendly […] staff, nice room, soft bed, good TV, nice bathroom.......and a wondeful breakfast the next morning. I would stay here again and I thought the price was well worth what I received in return for my one night stay. There was some close by restaurants and it right off the bay, but I did not leave the room. For those needing some good dinner spots and want to see the waterfront, this is a good hotel. I will for sure look for this hotel again when attempting to book a hotel room in Tampa near the airport. Devamı

The room had a super view and was spotless and very comfortable...Friendly and Helpful Staff....Great HOT and Cold Breakfast and Reliable Shuttle to and from the Cruise Terminal. No worries here. "Cruise Option"
We selected this hotel as it had shuttle service from Tampa Int Airport to the hotel to the Cruise Terminal. Only issue was that our cruise docked in the morning and check-in time was 3pm. We hung out in the lobby until a room became avail about noon'ish (lucky). Only one resturant in the immediate area. The staff was good and the breakfast was far […] better than I had anticipated. The parking spots are narrow but everything else wa great. Breakfast is always good at Hampton... but the server went out of her way to be attentive. GOOD VALUE... NO BRAINER!

"Visiting Family"
This is my 2nd visit. Breakfast is ample for those who enjoy the foods offered. I helped myself to the fresh fruits. I understand on saving hotel money by not changing sheets and towels every day. However, after 4 days, I think my sheets should have been changed at least once. Once I left all my towels on the floor that I had used. Once was obviously […] dirty. The next day, I found that the dirty towel had been put back on the rack. This did not impress me. I also found that certain pieces of furniture were not dusted or checked for debris, as I found things I'd forgotten to throw away, that were definitely trash. I do like the fact that in my room the heating and A/C had been changed to a reliable thermostat on the wall, rather than the controls on the unit itself. that was a plus. Devamı

My sons jeep got flooded during a storm so he ask for an hour later check out on a Sunday and was told he would be charged a 1/2 day room rate. As a result, i would not recommend this hotel and any corporate connections I have will cease as a result.

"Not a bad place to stay"
The hotel seemed older, but it met our needs. The breakfast was good, and the staff working during that time were very friendly and solicitous to our comfort. We did have a little trouble accessing the internet in our room. The room itself was clean.
No complaints about hotel or hotel staff. The airport shuttle is to Tampa only, not St. Petersburg. We had an unfortunate flight situation and arrived very later after rental car desk was closed. Taxi to hotel was 18 miles, Hotel personnel were very helpful as we made alternative arrangements for rental car and shuttle to airport.

I had a very pleasant experience with the hotel and will definitely use them again. The location is perfect for my needs, being right on the causeway that takes you to Clearwater. Its easy access to the freeways is perfect for out of towners. I'd read a review where someone mentioned the key cards don't work and alas, that's my ONLY complaint. They […] really should upgrade them. But, it was a minor nuisance. The staff is VERY helpful and friendly. I thought all rooms had micro/fridge but they're supposed to be requested on booking. Although I was unable to get a fridge, within 10 minutes of inquiring, there was a knock on my door and maintenance was bringing me a microwave. And, I'd overslept one day, definitely beyond normal housekeeping hours. But, when I left for the day, I'd asked if it was at all possible to have my room straightened up and housekeeping was there within minutes of my request (I'd forgotten something and had to go back to my room shortly thereafter and it was already cleaned). VERY, VERY responsive team there. The beds could use replacement in my opinion. Regardless, for the savings, I will absolutely be back. Devamı

"Nice place for our needs"
My husband and I recently stayed at the Hampton on Rocky Point Island so that we would be close to Laser Spine Institute for a procedure. The hotel was very accommodating and helpful during out stay. :) The staff was friendly, and the hotel was all we needed and wanted. It is really close to the airport, and they provide a free shuttle. :)
