Peaks Resort & Spa - Telluride

Excellent views!! Loved the ski in/out option...especially since our son spent a lot of time on the closest run and ski school is near by. Also our son loved the free arcade, pool and water slide! I wasn't impressed with the pool or indoor hot tubs. The low ceilings leave u feeling closterphobic and the steam room and sauna were smelly. However, having […] access to the men/women's spa facilites was GREAT! A soak in the roman tub with cold cloths and cucumbers for your eyes, minty smelling steam rm, meditation rm and clean sauna were an excellent treat and a great way to relax!!! This works out well if your kids are old enough to be on their own or your spouse will watch them while you have some time to yourself. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying in Mountain Village. The only disappointment we found is the lack of good food in MV. We ended up taking the Gondola down into town for almost every single meal. The food in Telluride is incredible!!! The extra time it takes to get there from MV is well worth it. Just wish there were better options up top for early mornings or when you're just too tired to make the trek down. Devamı

This is an exceptionally beautiful property in an amazing location - walking distance to Mountain Village and the gondola. The spa is awesome and the rooms were ok. Our room was not that clean - looked like they didn't vacuum rug before we checked in. The rooms are very large and spacious and the bed is comfortable. We turned off the heat but the room […] remained uncomfortably warm and we even had to open the window to cool it off. The stafff here is not that helpful with the exception of the bell hops who were super nice and helpful. Front desk staff was ok, spa and restaurant staff were not that friendly (guess I'm just used to Texas hospitality!) - and we did not receive our wake up call that I had requested. Overall, I would probably stay there again just for the amenities and location - I got an off-season rate - and think I would be upset if I had paid full price for the room. Devamı

This was a great ski in, ski out hotel, with a valet service to take care of skis/boots. Ski rental also located in hotel very convenient. Rooms had recently been redone and our room was very nice and comfortable. Negatives were only one out of 3 elevators worked during out stay and the breakfast buffet was pricey. Just got home from a long weekend in Telluride and stayed at the Peaks. It was my first visit to Telluride and first stay at the Peaks. The location of the hotel was great - ski in/ski out was very nice and easy. Ski valet service was wonderful and very convenient! There was not a 5 star hotel available when I went and this was the closest. The spa […] / fitness area was really nice and very big. The rooms were spacious. The couch wasn't very comfortable but it was nice to have one in the room. We had a room with a balcony and it was great to sit on the balcony in the evening, look at the mountain and listen to the music from the hotel bar. The bedding could be better - it was just okay, no fitted sheet and the down duvet really wasn't down material. It was foam! The service was very fast everytime we called the front desk for anything, they were quick - extra hangers, humidifier, more pillows etc. I would definitly stay there again, I just hope they upgrade their bedding because a great night of sleep on vacation makes for a great day! I recommend spending a little more and getting the view of the ski mountain and sunset. So pretty! Devamı

Since I cannot reveal specific rates in my review I will use $$ and $$$ for priciness. Considering I have stayed at expensive places such as the Waldorf-Astoria and Regency in New York you may use the $ symbols as my idea of pricey. All of which in this review was over-priced. This hotel nickel and dimes you for basic services a Holiday Inn wouldn't […] dare charge anyone for. First, the entrance was confusing because it was valet only. You also paid $$ per day for the valet whether you used it or not. The valet told us we could carry our own bags to the room on a cart if we liked, but very sternly told us to "BRING THE CART BACK"! After checking in we headed down to the restuarant within the hotel. A dinner for two took 2 hours and 10 minutes, due to poor service. I may have excused the lack of attentiveness had there been more than my table and the only other table of six next to us. Not to mention the thinness of the kitchen walls in which you could hear cursing and hotel gossip. Peaks restuarant was pretenciously overpriced and below average in terms of service and food quality. There was no excuse. Also, you pay an additional charge of $$ a day regardless of use, for the hotel spa. Now the Spa is worth $$, if you take a couple hours a day to use the facilities. Maid service is an additional $$ per day per use. If you want fresh towels you will be charged for this service. I know, it's unheard of. The buffet breakfast was $$$ and was nothing more than a 2 star hotels complimentary breakfast. Then they double charged my valet and spa fee and would not remove the charges. The front desk was so hostile I just decided to forget it until I was home. In closing the service for the hotel was unbelievably wrong! Service is EVERYTHING! Devamı

The staff were very attentive and helpful and it was very easy to get into Telluride using the free gondola. Mountain Village where the hotel is located is a large village with plenty of restaurants and shops. This is an amazing hotel/resort/spa! It had everything you could possibly want - indoor and outdoor hot tubs and pools, locker rooms for men or women and a view to die for with a nice roaring, poppong fireplace in the morning. We will definitely go back whenever we can!

The Peaks hotel is a great property nestled in the Telluride mountain top village. Being that it was summer time in a ski town, many of the surrounding shops we not running full business. That being said, some of the hotel staff seemed somewhere between put out or just not that helpful. On a few different occasions, questions asked we answered, but […] not fully. In regards to the pool access, the hotel has different times for different services and not knowing that I had to specify, I was given a flat answer and not the a full answer. Spring for a room with a balcony - either side of the hotel the views are awesome!

The Peaks Hotel was filled with a great service staff. The property is beautiful all though it is under renovation it did not effect our stay. The biggest complaint I have is the amenneties in the room. No Ice bucket, no refrigerator in the room, every thing closes early so to have snacks in the room, cheese, wine you cannot. We booked our stay at the Peaks in Telluride, hoping it would be the highlight of our hotel stays on a two week vacation. The first night, we had no hot water and our room was very hot. When they remodeled the shower, they did not hook up the faucet correctly, so we had to wait for a maintenance man to change the screws so that the faucet would turn […] all the way to hot. (Why didn't anyone check that?) There was no information on the hotel in the room, so we had no idea whether there were restaurants we could eat at, where the pool was or what time it opened and closed, or anything else useful about the room. Our room was also hot. We were told the hotel has no air conditioning, but the room did have a box fan. Really? Also, because of the remodeling, they had no information to give us on the hotel itself, nor did they offer to tell us anything. Other than the staff at the pool bar and grill, I thought most people were very unfriendly. The new management needs to step it up several notches to make this worth the while. We did enjoy our afternoon at the pool - which had an amazing view of the mountains and a very fun waterslide, without it seeming like a holidome, although it would have been nicer if it wasn't "Locals Day" and half the kids and moms in Telluride were there crowding the kiddie pool and taking up all the chairs. Kind of reminded me of Caddy Day at the pool in the movie CaddyShack. What would have otherwise been a nice, peaceful afternoon at the pool was not quite as peaceful as we would've hoped. It was beautiful none-the-less, and the margaritas were great, thanks to the super nice bartender. I also agree with another review that there were a lot of hidden charges on the hotel, making what seemed to be a great deal much less so. Devamı

While there was nothing exceptionally wrong with the hotel, more was expected for it being a 4 star hotel and the price. Did not like the mandatory "Spa/Incidental Fee" especially since we never used the spa or any of the incidentals. The condition of the hotel is definitely worn even after the remodeling. The hotel staff were all friendly.

Very sneaky how they have mandatory valet parking, a breakfast that appears complimentary (and tastes that way too) but cost us $60 and they even charged me for a room that I already paid for here (refunded with a phone call). I would choose a better hotel.

The hotel was sold a couple of years ago to be turned into a condo/hotel and started renovation. When the market fell out, they went back to being just a hotel and stopped remodeling. It shows. The bathroom has a painted white piece of plywood over it, and plaster where the faucets use to be. The closets and drawers are painted white particle board, […] mini bar is someone's shop project. If you get a room cheap enough, then who cares, but if you pay more, you would expect more. Gym is nice and the coffee stand staff couldn't be more friendly. Devamı

Very nice staff, awesome pool - indoor and outdoor, Great location at Mountain Village. Uber Comfortable beds. Beautiful view. I'd stay here again.

This was to be the one night on our vacation that we really splurged. It turned out the resort was under renovation and we awoke to the sound of heavy machinary. The service was marginal with some staff members barely speaking English. There was no concierge to provide information about the area. I ate in the Legends restaurant in the hotel, and my […] grilled fish was over-cooked and dry. There were no signs showing where rooms or spa services were located, so we had to wander around to find things. At home, I use a fitness center regularly, so I should know what to expect. In their spa, the Roman bath and steam room were so hot that neither my wife nor I could use them. My wife was left unattended in a hot soak for 20 minutes and was sick afterward. My vehicle was locked away in a valet lot under the building, so if we needed to get anything, we had to get a valet to take us to it, which was incovenient. We did have a private balcony with a good view, but other than that it was a very disappointing stay. Devamı
