To the south and southwest of downtown, this family-friendly region claims some of the city’s greenest pastures. Hayhurst’s 52-acre Alpenrose dairy complex boasts a stadium and a velodrome. Inside the Western-replica town of Dairyville, visitors find a doll museum and opera house, among other venues. Toward downtown, Portland Children’s Museum offers still more activities for the young folk.

The front desk showed up in 1-2 minutes. They gave directions and advice about our questions re: Portland and what to see and where to park. "perfect location, great stay"
Though we had some problems finding it (we didn't have clear directions and turned the wrong way) everything was great about our stay. This will be our Portland hotel from now on!
All personnel were outstanding. Our night in room 325 were interrupted by cycling of heating unit; our next nights were perfect. Very much enjoyed the firm mattress.

Enjoyed our stay - was easy to attend the opera and park at a lower fee after 6. Enjoyed Gubancs for dinner which was not far away. Lots of other places to eat also.

Great locale. Close to Trader Joe's and fine restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

We've stayed several times at this hotel while visiting family and it has always been a nice stay. The beds are great and it is conveniently located as well. Would like to have breakfast offered until 10:00 though. I would recommend this hotel and will continue to stay there.

This was a very enjoyable place to stay... The service was outstanding and the breakfasts were better than I expected. It's rated at a 2.5 star and I think it should at least be a 3.5 or 4............ I recomment it.........

Our only complaint was that we had no tissues in our tissue dispenser and both of us had head colds. Other than that, everything was fine.

Very comfortable bed, bed linens and pillows. Bathroom sink area small to start with and crowded with coffeemaker and supplies. Continental breakfast ample although the hotel should place all beverages in one location, all food in another and get a second toaster; the area was crowded, which made accessing food and beverage slower than it needed to […] be. "Fairfield better than fair"
Good staff contribute to this well run property just south of Portland. It was easy to get to and around from and quite comfortable. Nice bed!

"wonderful stay"
Quiet even though it is so close to the interstate. Beautiful neighborhood. Perfect for going on a walk. The staff was fantastic and the room was very nice.

A pleasant stay, clean, friendly, good location. Best bed I have slept in at a hotel! Used this hotel as a jump spot to the beach and shopping.

We stay here because it is close to our daughter's college and the hotel provides a discounted room rate to support college parents. The area is very pleasant and very easy to get around; Due to it's location, the hotel is quiet. The beds are comfortable and I noticed an increase in the quality of customer service from all staff members we encountered. […] A very nice experience overall and one we are happy to repeat. Hotel is very easy access off freeway and on the edge of business park. If business meetings are the focus of your stay, this is quiet, clean, good continental breakfast.

I came in around 2:30 am after 3 airplanes and 24 hours of traveling. The desk clerk greeted me warmly and was very considerate to think of putting me in a room at the end of the hall where it would be nice and quiet, "because you might want to sleep in." "Nice Hotel - Very bad cab service"
Nice and clean hotel with convenient location and good customer service.Where they lack seriously is cab service they associate with.My cab to airpot in the morning took 45 minutes to come even after advance notices.Dont rely on that.
"Thoroughly enjoyable!"
We were lucky enough to stay while the Fairfield hosted a soccer tournament and a mountain run. It could have been a 'zoo', but the staff was courteous and had a sense of humor! It was quiet and restful, and we would recommend it to everyone we know!!
