Hand basin in bathroom was cracked and the bath was not washed on a daily basis by cleaning staff. Front desk staff unfriendly and lack comunication skills.

We checked in for one night having been to other Holiday Inns which were fantastic and based on their reputations I chose another Holiday Inn. This was not fantastic but a nightmare with huge amounts of people arriving for checkin at 4 pm for early morning flights out of Gatwick airport. There were only two women on the check-in desk, they had no interest […] in who they were serving, no information about how we got to car rental return and no maps of the surrounding area. The hotel was not well sign posted either. The elevators were tiny necessitating families to take two of them if they had luggage. Our room was cold because the heating was broken and the repair man who was called said he had turned it on but it was indeed broken and we had to change rooms to another cold room because according to them they don't turn on the heat at night time until you get in the room! The bathroom was cold as there was no heat in it not even a heated towel rail. This hotel needs a good upgrade. Car parking is limited at the front with tiny spaces you can barely get in and out of the car door. You have to pay for parking which is 10 English Pounds a night. Once in the car park you have to keep getting a ticket from the lobby to get in and out of the car park making life more difficult if you want to drive out for a meal. You are basically captive there when you park the car. The restaurant is dark and dingy although the food was quite good but expensive. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet night as there were hordes of children there running up and down the corridors generally being children. The buses when they come to the front door to pick up completely block the exit from the car park which necessitates you waiting until they are loaded up and ready to leave which can be 15 minutes or more. Not a good layout for this hotel and it is clear that upgrades not only to the building but to their reception area and staff are needed. Devamı

Staff was helpful. Facility staff noticed my door card did not work, he let me in with his and went downstairs to arranged for a workable card for me. In the mean time I requested to change room for purpose of internet connection via dongle. The reception staff immediately allocated another room for me and arranged for the faciltiy staff to bring the […] key up to me. Very good service recevied. Devamı

My stay was quite enjoyable. The staff including the domestics were lovely, very professional. I totally enjoyed the breakfast in the restaurant.........very pleased. I will definitely reconmmed it.

Hotel was nice, clean and check-in went smoothly. We didn't eat breakfast since our flight left so early, but we ate dinner. My food, something oriental, was good, my spouse choose something local and was dissapointed. We used the shuttle bus in and out of the hotel. It was guite fast and fairly inexpensive. It was easy to find the busses at the shouthern […] terminal, althought we couldn't find any instrutions about the location of the busstops before hand from the Gatwick airport or the hotels internet pages. As always I had an enjoyable stay. The reception was very kind to let me have a family room becase my booking did not guarantee a double bed despite i reqested via hotel.com. The reception was also very accommodating when I ask to change room with a better internet signal. Good service as always.

Checkin was very quick and the receptionist was accommodation - changed a twin room to a family room which have a double bed. I have stayed in this hotel many times and am happy with the location, condition and comfort of the hotel. I can recommend to anybody.

This was a great experience and the staff at the front desk went way beyond the bar ! Helping us with directions to a place in London printed the directions off for us as well as checking in for our flight back to the states . Definitely will rebook here because of the location and all the other and customer service !

Very disappointed with this hotel. We were looking for a comfortable hotel close to Gatwick where we could check in after a late flight and sleep well. I was suffering from a virus when we arrived so was horrified to find that the room was an icy 18 degrees ( with the air con on) and that the heating was broken. The staff were helpful and brought extra […] blankets but it was not what we were expecting. The room apart from the icy temperature ( this was November in London!) was fine but the corridors and general surroundings were drab and below standard. I will not be staying in this hotel again. There was not one particular event that I can point to and say "The problem was....". It was just a general feeling that they were simply out to fleece the customers, and not offer any service. The food and drinks were absorbitantly priced, and the bar man spent most of his time trying to "up sell" in such an obvious manner that I expected him to be […] on commission. The rooms were tidy, but not of the standard you would usually expect from a Holiday Inn. In fact it simply felt that as Gatwick is seen as the second airport for London, Holiday Inn needed only to offer a second class level of service. There are other options for accommodation at Gatwick, and I would recommend researching these before pressing the “Book Now” button. Devamı

I chose this Hotel because they stated they had shuttle service. i arrived at Gatwick airport and found where the hotels pick up their guest. I called the holiday Inn and was told that this was only a 4 min walk from the south terminal. I had several peices of luggagem my wife and her 80 year old mother in tow. We walked for 10 min and did not see the […] hotel. I used my iphone gps and found i was still more than a kilometer away and there was no sidewalk. I ended up calling a cab. No one at the hotel would take responsibility for telling me to just walk. The next mourning they did have a shuttle but it will cost you 6 dollars each. In all of my travels I have never had to pay for a shuttle service at an airport hotel. This is not even close to a 4 star hotel. Well maybe in a 3rd world country. the rooms are showing age and this hotel needs major renovating. Staff are liars and not helpful they put me and my family at risk by suggesting we walk on dark street with no side walk. Devamı

We booked a wheelchair accessible room which it nearly was. Unfortunately the shower was over the bath which is not accessible. The bathroom is huge so they could have easily put a wetroom. Luckily this didn't matter as we only stayed for one night before a flight. Ideal location about 10 mins from Gatwick airport.

Good hotel, nice staff, good food and comfortable rooms. Fairly close to airport, 5 mins bus ride. No other restaurants or shops close to hotel so have to use theirs, which are good but perhaps a wee bit pricey. Had to pay for wifi also - 16 pound for 24 hours. Overall reasonably happy with hotel, would probably stay again.

I have stayed many times at the Holiday Inn. The reception staff have been very helpful and pleasant especially by now they recognise I have stayed with them a few times. Everything is perfect except I do not think they should impose £10 car parking charge if guests were only staying for one night.

Friendly staff, super breakfast, convinient location with shuttle to airport

Quite convenient from the railway station but there was a bus laid on to take passengers to the terminals the following day. Unfortunately we had to get to the north terminal so the bus went first to south terminal. That was alright but it then picked up passengers who had just arrived to take them on to the hotel. The bus was extremely crowded by this […] time with masses of luggage. The bus continued to the north terminal. Once there we had to fight our way through the very crowded bus with our luggage. We were stranded at Gatwick after the craziness with the flooded out at Gatwick Express which caused us to miss our flight--and the Holiday Inn was a godsend! Very comfortable, more so than the hotel we had stayed at in London for almost twice the price, and perfecly located so that we could be well on time for our flight out the following day.

Very nice place, just make sure you get a room with a shower - we did not, and let's just say I'm not a fan of sitting in a pool of dirty water.

Great one-night stay while flying into/out of Gatwick. Just beware that the shuttle to/from the airport is not cheap at 3 pounds each way, per person. Several have already mentioned this and we were prepared, I just wouldn't want anyone to be surprised by it. Pathetic service- no water in the room. no water machine apart from the hotel bar! the cash machine charges 1.75£ to withdraw 10£ ....and courtesy bus is 3£ per adult , 1.50£ per child. avoid !

Does exactly what is required. good rooms in a hotel at gatwick. food is good and the waitress/barstaff are friendly.

Comfortable, clean and convenient for the airport. Shuttle was punctual.

The hotel was lovely, it is only a short bus ride away from the Airport with buses every 15 minutes from the airport direct to the hotel entrance, and the journey only takes about 15 minutes. I was exhausted after a trasatlantic flight. I was given a room with twin beds, I called the reception desk and requested a queen bed for the night. No hassle! I was transferred to another room immediately. Thanks, it was great to be able to rest well and the room was nice and clean. I was on the way to Asia, so I really appreciated the gesture.

This was a convenient place to overnight before a morning flight. However, the room was small and the pull-out sofa bed was very narrow with inadequate bedding (barely covers the bed) -- only suitable for one large or two VERY small children. Surprised to pay 3 pounds per person for the shuttle to the hotel (a very short drive, not walkable though) […] - take a cab if you have more than two or three people. Devamı

The hotel was comfortable and as close as necessary to Gatwick A/P. Our only minor reservation was a lack of space to park our hire car prior to returning it to the airport hire office. The overnight charge for the room was most reasonable. We will certainly use the hotel again.

Restaurant in evening was well below standard, and prices were high. Check the room service menu first (which we didn't do). Otherwise hotel was fine for our purpose.

The Hotel has a good bus service connecting both the North and South terminals and the railway station at Gatwick Airport. The charge is £3 per person, which whilst reasonable, would be free at any United States Airport ! The Hotel itself is fine, and has all the usual facilities, and the staff were helpful.

Terrific place to stay; very clean, convenient. Highly recommend.

The hotel is convenient to the airpoort. Glad we stayed the night before our departure. The bus service of the hotel was good and on time :)

I was stuck in the UK by the volcanic ash situation. After getting bumped from my previous hotel I was reserving a spot in the Holiday Inn. While I was making the reservation, the price went up 10 Pounds. It seemed they were taking advantage of a lousy situtation for lots of travelers. Everything at the hotel was expensive, from the food (average quality), […] internet access, and they even charged 2.50 for a tiny cup of peanuts at the hotel bar!!!! If you need to be near London Gatwick, I suggest staying at one of the many local B&B's. Devamı
