Econo Lodge The Springs - New Ashford

We stayed for one night when we visited Williams College. The owners/managers are extremely welcoming (much better than the hotels we stayed out in other cities), helpful, and obviously care about their hotel and guests. Room was great. If my son goes to Williams, this will be a regular hotel.

Upon driving up to the hotel, I wanted to leave. Not a single car in the parking lot and the outside is old looking, kind of like the "Bates" hotel. The room had been redecorated and was very spacious, but I think the mattress was saved from the 1950's. It was really soft and sunk in the middle. Really uncomfortable. The staff was very friendly. The […] breakfast wasn't much. It was far from where we were wanting to spend time. If your looking for a clean, inexpensive place it'll do. By evening the place was full. very nice, quiet motel. it deserved the price. all staffs were very kind and friendly. I booked a king-size room. when saw my daughter, they exchanged me a double bed room with same unilities. this motel is closed to williams college and north adams. on the way to these two sites, there has a hill that is very nice place to view foliage. also the bed […] is comfort. we did have a good sleep. like that motel very much. This motel is on Rte 7 between Williamstown and Pittsfield. We were very pleased with the friendly welcome, nice room, contnental breakfast, good value for the price. We would stay there again.

I came to the area to race in a bike race up Greylock Mountain. I found the hotel to be very clean and the staff very helpul and courteous. The room was large enough to actually get some stretching in. Pleasantly surprised. Good value, everything you would want in an affordable room.

Although the room seemed and smelled clean when I first arrived, later in the evening I developed a chemical taste in my mouth from the room. Also, went to take a shower and the water came out brown innitially. Other than those probs, it was okay.

We needed a place to stay for our visit to Tanglewood for a Friday night concert. Prices immediately around Lenox were too high. The Springs is only a half-hour drive away and for the money saved, well worth the extra few miles.

Wonderful locatiion! Well-maintained comfortable motel. Breakfast was provided and the desk receptionist was extremely helpful. Landscaping could stand some work as well as a pool overhall (closed for renovations at present). I would stay again and the price is right!

Check in and check out were a breeze. Owners were very friendly. The hotel advertised as newly remodelled. I could see where some painting had been done and the bathrooms repaired. However, the furniture was old and the carpet had not been replaced. It was dirtly and smelled like it had been a smoking room. Other than the carpet, the room was clean. […] For our purposes and the price the hotel was adequate, but not great. I would stay there again if I could not find anything better. Devamı

Our room was an old style motel room but very clean and updated and comfortable. The price was ideal. The pictures on their website are actually the higher priced rooms. Also the Lodge is about 10 miles from Williamstown center. On the whole it is a bargain and good value.

This had to be the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at, and that is saying something, as I have stayed at some pretty bad places. The add says there is a pool...yep it is there, but it is empty!!!! When I went out the first day, I came back to find that the beds were threw together...and garbage not taken out... When I went out the 2nd day... […] the room had not been looked at...the towels were still on the bathroom floor, and the beds were left the way they were when we left in the morning....and again garbage still in room. If this is an example of what other Econo Lodges are like, Then they will NEVER see me again...and I travel in not only Canada but in the US as well....and my husband travels much more than I do. Very good value. A clean comfortable room, recently redecorated. Staff friendly and helpful. Free light breakfast. Good restaurants for lunch or dinner 4 -5 miles from hotel. One disappointment - small pool closed during my August visit. George

I am cheap, so I know sometimes not to expect 5-star accommodations in my price range. This place was awesome! I love the old 50s-style roadside motels and this place is just that. New owners took over late in 2010. It was clean, safe and cozy. Everyone we deal with was oh-so-nice! Great location for skiing, leaf peeping and access to Williamstown. […] If we head back to Williams, I'll try to stay here again, unless my MiL comes along & requires a quaint B&B, then I'll let her foot the bill. Hikers, if you plan to climb Mt Greylock, this is the place to stay! Because the hotel is in its first year (as of July 2011), the owner is keeping the prices low to attract new business. The rooms are well equipped (wifi, cable TV, the usual amenities) and clean. Everything worked! The breakfast is "the usual" for a chain hotel, but very satisfactory, […] given the very low price of the room. I left shaking my head that one could find this good a deal in a very pricey part of the state. FYI, they are still fixing the pool, so don't count on using that (yet). Devamı

I was extremely surprised that our experience was so pleasant, considering this is an Econolodge, a chain (like many others) not known to provide much more than a bed. Right off the bat, the gent behind the counter was a gracious host, personally going and checking if our assigned room was ready. (We wanted to park our bikes in the room and take off […] to make it up to North Adams for a lecture @ Mass MOCA.) Since it wasn't he immediately arranged another room that was ready so we could dump our bikes and go. The room smelled nice, was very clean, and the fixtures in the bath appeared to be fairly new. All in all, a very pleasant stay. We'll be back. Devamı

Very reasonably-priced motel with clean, comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Great value for money. Only negative would be the distance to amenities but otherwise is well situated for Mt Greylock.

Motel au bord de la route, accueil agréable et souriant,bons conseils sur les restis autour, chambre propre et confortable. petit déjeuner correct. pour une nuit ne pas hésiter
