Cape Town Lodge Hotel - Cape Town

On two occasions hotel staff entered my room unannounced while I was undressed. The first was there to check the mini-bar and insisted on asking what I used even as I stood there shocked in my underwear. Second occasion involved staff member just walking in saying he was there to "check the room"??? Otherwise, front desk and concierge services were […] helpful. For an excellent view of Table Mountain and Lion's Head, ask for a room on the 8th floor - spectacular. We had room 814, which was spacious and comfortable. Staff friendly and obliging. Excellent buffet breakfast with live paino music. Biggest plus point - we were able to check in immediately even though we arrived in the early morning - worth a fortune […] after a long flight. Only a small pool, but nice place to meet for a drink. Be warned, hotel car into town very expensive - better to ask them to get you a town taxi. Devamı

We were very impressed by the Cape Town Lodge. The staff were friendly and helpful. They arranged airport transfers and day excursions for us, and had our room ready well before the advertised check in time. The restaurant in the hotel was lovely and waiting staff attentive. The location of the hotel was excellent too. About a mile walk to the V&A […] waterfront, but only 2 blocks to the bars / restaurants on Long St. Devamı

- in the middle of Cape Town - a lot of good restaurant in the neibourhood - close to Waterfront - safety car garrage - price level ok - guite easy to drive to many golf cources - easy to get sight-seeing busses

Location of hotel right in the heart of the city center- close to Long street's pubs and restaurants. Nicely decorated hotel, condition of rooms and cleanliness satisfactory. Staff at reception (especially on the day of our arrival) not very helpful, we felt like it was a trouble for them giving us some information we needed for our stay

We stayed 4 nights (Dec. 6 - 9, 2011) at the hotel after an 18 day cruise from Europe. Everything about the hotel is first class. The onsite restaurant "The Famous Butchers Grill" was exceptional. Best value for the money in Cape Town.

this hotel is not centrally located, though walk to the centre and sea front is possible. the breakfast is very nice and if you stop for dinner, order the steaks. relatively new hotel, so everything works and nothing's broken beyond repair.

We were much impressed by the unusually high standard of the artworks displayed on the walls throughout this hotel. The selections were from contemporary international and interesting African art and sculpture. The color schemes in the hotel were rich and warm reflecting the colors of Africa. The hotel location is great for walking to downtown sites […] and markets. It is also very convenient to a stop for the hop-on-hop-off bus giving ready access to important tourist features. The buffet breakfast was generous and varied in its selections to meet all tastes and the quality was very good. The piano music enhanced the atmosphere for an anjoyable and relaxed meal. The food in the Butchers dining room was outstandingly good. The service was excellent---not rushed, but attentive. We highly recommend this hotel as a great stop while in Cape Town. Devamı

Everything was fine, but the air conditioner was noisy.

Good Business Hotel, clean room with mini bar and other required ammenities. Good beeding and pillows. The breakfast is perfectly good with excellent service provided

Good service, nice clean rooms and very central location. I would definitely stay at the Cape Town Lodge Hotel any time I am in Cape Town again.

I can't help thinking the cape town lodge is vastly overrated as a 4 star establishment. The rooms were tiny, the air handling systems were ancient and very noisy...I hardly slept a wink. The food was ok but nothing special. The hotel was clean, the staff, helpfull. I have had a better experience in a 2 star hotel! I would not recommend this ho […] tel. Devamı

It was a OK Hotel. Needs a touch up to live up to my expectations though. I got a very small room and it looked and sounded like the AC was from mid 70:s. The view was bad from the lower floors.

Good value for the money. Clean, near to city center.

Great hotel, sightseeing bus stops just outside the hotel, only complaint is that their internet access is pretty expensive.

Dette hotel har simpelthen ALT - der er ikke en finger at sætte på noget. For det første er beliggenheden perfekt, og ideel som udgangspunkt for ture, uanset om man vil besøge Table Mountain, DownTown Cape Town, Waterfront eller andet. Udsigten fra vores værelse var så at sige BJERGtagende, da vi havde direkte view til Table Mountain. SMUKT! Dernæst […] er hotellets beskaffenhed ligeledes perfekt - det er et yderst velvedligeholdt hotel, og der foretages konstant vedligeholdelse på det. Der er nærmest sterilt rent overalt - virkelig dejligt. Og så er der personalet - lige fra "høj" til "lav" - de står simpelthen på hovedet for dig, for at gøre dit ophold så behageligt, som overhovedet muligt. Altid en hilsen og et smil, når man møder nogle fra The Staff. Een ting er sikkert, kommer vi påny til Cape Town, er vi slet ikke i tvivl om, hvor vi skal bo - nemlig på The Cape Town Lodge Hotel :-) Devamı

Cape Town Lodge Hotel Cape Town Central location - not very friendly staff.

En centre ville, d'un accès très facile de et vers l'aéroport mais aussi vers le front de mer, la Table Mountain, et pour découvrir le cap de Bonne Espérance. Accueil du personnel de reception, du parking et des restaurants excélent. Seul le service d'accès à internet est exorbitant, et débrouillez vous pour savoir comment ça marche. La même activité […] est gratuite et dix fois plus simple en Thailande, en utilisant la même langue, l'anglais. Temps d'utilisation minimum 2000 bites pour simplement confirmer 1 billet d'avion ! Mais l'accueil et la gentillesse ont été parfaits, sauf pour la salle informatique. Seul inconvénient réel ,la présence d'une mosquée à proximité , avec un haut-parleur qui hurlait à 5h30 du matin . Hotel muito bom; ótima localização; próximo ao centro da cidade e à Long Street; é possível pegar o ônibus de turismo quase na frente do hotel.
