Courtyard By Marriott Detroit Downtown - Detroit

Good area, good view, good rate, people were friendly but the room was increadibly warm and dry even when we adjusted the temperature. It was difficult to sleep in such a dry room.

Great service, great room, and wonderful location near people mover. Only negative was slow valet, but that didn't deter an otherwise oustanding experience.

close to Joe Louis Arena,people-mover & delicious restaurants. clean indoor pool, friendly brunch staff and delicious brunch,spacious room.

The price for three days was a bit much for this room. The smoke alarm went off because of smoking in a non-smoking room. Maybe a harsher warning or note that the alarm will sound should be given so people don't smoke in non-smoking rooms. There were very few restaurants nearby and the CVS pharmacy had very early closing times (plus not open on Sunday). […] Given that there was a huge music festival happening I expected more staff on hand for the volume of people in town and that the few stores downtown would have later hours. I felt that you needed a car or figure out the bus/metro system to really get around and take in the city. Parking was only available through valet or through a public garage so people should add parking fees into the cost of the hotel. The staff was friendly for the most part but not informative about things in the city or even their own hotel features. Devamı

Not the most amazing hotel I've stayed at, but it was a very pleasant stay. Clean. Cleaning staff very friendly and helpful and the front desk staff was fabulous at check-in. I would definitely stay there again.

i cant say enough thanks for continuing to invest in your hotel and staff. with your upgrades accomidations, location, one of a kind fitness facility tennis etc, i feel as a frequent traveler your team has invested far beyond the norm. Thank You

The Courtyard By Marriott Detroit Downtown was a great hotel! Loved the room setup and location was perfect - we didn't even have to leave the building to catch the people mover! Nice room, comfortable bed, easy chechin and out would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We love to view seesights - many buildings and also across Canada and the lake. How was it beautiful. It was so clean in the room. The front desk was excellent that they did gave us the direction paper that where we need going out to eat like Big Boy and Africian-American Museum. It was easy to find the way. It is not in the worst area of Detroit, but also not the best of Detroit. The staff was great, but I would not venture out after dark if you are alone.

I have to say, I travel for work and stay at a lot of hotels. Everyone at this hotel really was thoughtful and helpful. One of my favorites and will definitely stay there next time I am in Cedar Rapids.

The room was really nice. The only issues we had with the stay was that the toilet didn't flush unless you held the handle and that the flip lock on the door (up near the peephole) was broken. The deadbolt worked so it wasn't a huge issue. There is some construction going on in the area which made for a lot of back in forth on our walk from Comerica […] Park to Greektown and back to the hotel. The People Mover has a stop upstairs in this hotel so it was great to ride that to the Park and it's only 50 cents!!! Great deal :) The staff at this hotel were very nice and check in went smoothly. Friendly, helpful staff, clean, modern facilities. Room had the most comfortable bed ever! Close to Greektown, Commerica, and Ford Field, as well as several restaurants and pubs. People mover stop is right in the building and only 50 cents to ride. Parking was $10 a night - alittle steep but in a covered garage near by. This hotel is in a central location in Downtown Detroit. Close to the Gm Headquarters,Hart Plaza ,Greektown Casino, Fox Theater,Comerica Park, Ford Field and many more. Friendly staff and very clean. Bed was really comfortable.

Our experience with this hotel was awesome. We loved that the People Mover was right there for us to use. And even better were the beds. They were soooo comfortable. The room was clean and the staff was excellent.

I didn't like that I wasn't informed that the hotel would charge a deposit after the room was already paid for.

Very friendly staff. Super comfortable beds. Loved the people mover. Very convenient location.

Courtyard Marriott had the Quality of a regular marriott. Was a great location, moderately safe area, and plenty within walking distance. Would definitely recommend.

Overall stay was nice- very convenient for our Comerica Park/ Tigers vacation; however, there was a promotion which said we were going to get a $20.00 VISA gift card with each room and we have yet to receive those cards (we had 3 rooms). It was a hotel promotion and the desk clerks could not tell us how to get the cards--we would have spent them in […] Detroit if we had had them upon check-in. Great Location. The People Mover came into the building; no need to go outside. The room was perfect. The staff, inside and outside, were nice and helpful. A miracle: the free coffee in the containers near the check-in desk was "great" and I'm really very particular about coffee.

It was hot in our room

Wasn't sure what to expect since we went there for baseball and the hoedown. Figured traffic would be bad and a pain to get to. Much to our surprise it was relatively easy. We parked in the parking garage, which at the time was 10.00 a day for one weekend day. This hotel is located only 15-20 minute stroll from Comerica and Ford Field and about 10 from […] Greektown. The only thing I should warn you about is 1) with the People Mover having a stop in the hotel it could possibly be hard to sleep if you are a light sleeper, but we were able to sleep just fine. i am a fairly critical traveler. This hotel was better than what i expected for the price -- rooms were clean, service friendly, etc. The best part was the gym: they have a full gym with a room or aerobic equipment, another room for yoga etc., one with weights, a pool with warm water great for kids, and a sauna. overall the largest gym I have seen in […] any hotel. We went for a Tiger's Game and a Red Wings game. Great room great location easy access to DPM so we could get around to everything in we wanted to do. Our only complaint was that the pool seemed salty. Like it was salt water instead of chlorine. My eyes were in major discomfort and irritated red after swimming.

Hotel is downtown Detroit so that speaks for itself but stayed for A Red Wings game and was great for that. People MOver{overhead transit system} had a stop in hotel so very convenient after game. Good sunday brunch resonably priced. Valet parking a little slow due to lots of overnites for the game all leaving at same time but have seen worse.

We had a problem at check-in, the key wouldn't open the door. After several unsuccessful attempts to fix the problem, we were finally given a different room. Once in the room everything was very nice. The room was larger than expected and the view was great!
