Hotel Carlisle & Embers Convention Center - Carlisle

Have Stayed at this hotel many times because indoor pool is huge 40 x 60, but it was way to cold to use this time and the hot tub was out of order. Older hotel but most rooms, and area's have been updated. Micro and fridge in room is nice. Will go back in fall if pool is fixed.

Some rooms could use a little updating. Close to Carlisle fair grounds for various events.

We pick this hotel because of the outdoor open space. I was a little disappointed with the housekeeping staff on this visit. As they didn't replace our bathmat, thus we threw down a hand towel on the floor and they left their own hair on the bathroom counter. The hotel is old and out dated, it needs a lot of work . Rooms had no tolet paper or Kleenex mold in the tubes no hot water in the sink taps.

I stayed there with my daughter for 6 days as I had already prepaid. I immediately reported the light outside of my room as burned out and it was finally replaced the day before I checked out. I also reported my remote control for the TV was not working correctly again there was one manager that actually took heart. The Hot-Tub was out of service with […] no sign so it was literally an Ice Tub 34 Degrees with my thermometer, so it was colder than the large indoor freezing pool. If you have an issue make certain you continue complaining and hope it is the right manager. Devamı

We have stayed at this hotel in the past many times. It is clean, secure and confortable. this past time my wife was cold and would have liked heavier blanket. this hotel has not been updated but for the price is a good deal. For me. 1 is too many. My room had 2. I walked in to find a 1/2 inch tan beetle on the desk. I killed it, set my bag down and went to turn on the bedside lamp and stepped on a 2 inch slug that squished under my weight. I cleaned up the dead insects and climbed into bed since I had just driven for 11 hours and was way too tired to deal with it... […] but tossed and turned for an hour thinking every itch would be another beetle. Some people don't mind bugs, so if that's you, stay at the Hotel Carlisle. It's a fairly nice place and pretty affordable. If you're like me and can't stand insects perhaps you should try one of the chain hotels nearby. Devamı

This hotel locates at a very convenient place - close to major highways and there are many restaurants/shopping places nearby. The hotel looks very old fashioned. Rooms are large, but also old and shabby. Wireless connection is free but sometimes it might not work.

When I stayed the place was freezing since the only places with heat are the rooms, and only once you get in your room and turn the heat on. The exercise room leaves quite a bit to be desired. The treadmill looked dangerous to operate. It snowed and I got stuck on an ice patch in the lobby drive while I was checking out and they had no maintenance on […] staff that day and the front desk didn't have any rock salt or anything. It took me an hour to get myself off the ice. The rooms were dark and I couldn't have put makeup on in the bathroom, either. The water would run cold in the middle of a shower, presumably because someone flushed a toilet somewhere in the hotel. I never saw another guests, either, which didn't leave me feeling very secure. I got a good deal here on hotels.com and the room was clean and pleasant. TV reception wasn't great, but I really wasn't there to watch TV. There is an exercise room with working equipment, though it's a bit cold in winter and the equipment is a little old. It's real close to the Army Heritage and Education Center, so I will likely return on my next […] research visit. Devamı

This hotel, conference center has seen better days. The room was very "sad". The furnishings old and dated. The sheets and towels very thin. The TV was ancient, the heater very noisy. It is a huge complex. It was off season and very empty. The facilities would benot change "in season".

The room was cold when I arrived. they do not use heat until you arrive in your room. The indoor pool was freezing cold with a garden hose running water into it. The hot tub was not hot at all! It also was freezing cold. We received no service at the restaraunt connected to the hotel after sitting at a table for 30 minutes. The bartender never asked […] us if we wanted a drink. This is a very nice place to saty in the Spring and summer months....Overall I gave this place 4 stars due to the fact that the pool wa cold and the "Hot Tub" wasn't very "hot" Over all the room, service and the location was teriffic. Will reccommend this hotel to all my friends.

Nothing like the pictures

I'm not sure how it got its star rating but it really is overrated. The room was sparsely furnished. The amenities consisted 3 catsup packets of shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Pillows flat, shower very outdated, had to lean to side to rinse hair. Also the water went from ice cold to scalding hot while taking a shower without touching the control!!!! Also tv didn't work correctly, didn't want to turn on had to push power button many tomes before it would turn on, also channels didn't match the display. It's easy to see that this well-frayed property was a top-notch hotel back in the day when its harvest gold bathroom fixtures were the latest thing. It begs for updated furnishings. The prime rib sandwich served at the bar was the worst I have ever had, bar none. Brown meat on a cheap hamburger bun should not cost 13 bucks, but it did. I won't be b […] ack. Devamı

The hotel staff was outstanding. The hotel rooms were among the largest of any hotel that I have stayed at in this class of hotels. Extra big...two sinks, etc. The pool area needs to be updated.

The hotel is well maintained. You can see that it once was quite a grand hotel. It is huge and they seem to only maintain the Lobby, catering rooms and main areas, along with a section of rooms. The reception desk staff were very nice. On the first stop over the room was nice, but the beds were VERY hard. On the return trip stop over, we had to request […] another room because there was obvious water damage and there were little bugs flying all over the room. I stayed at the hotel because of the location its right off 81 and the turnpike. But the restaurant at the hotel was not good at all they even billed my credit card 6 times for different amounts then could do nothing about it so i have to dispute the charges with my CC company. The rooms are very old have a funny smell.

What a surprise. I had no idea what to expect. I booked because of the price, and the photos looked good. You won't be disappointed!

We asked for a non-smoking room. We were asked to sign a form saying that we would not smoke in the room. When we got to our room it was pretty obvious that someone had smoked in the room. My husband noticed that the rooms down the hall had non-smoking placards on the doors but our room did not. We booked this late at night while driving and we really were not too picky because it was just an overnight enroute on the highway. But we had a good laugh when we read the Hotels.com description after we got to our room. "Resort" fee - you gotta be kidding! No - there is no pillow top bed - maybe they meant "a pillow on top of the bed"! No down blanket, […] premium bedding, turn down service or newspaper. This is basically a truckers' hotel. The hallways smelled horrible of cleaning products and cigarette smoke - but thankfully the room was non smoking and did not smell. You get what you pay for - and for the price this was ok. Devamı

I WAS PLEASED WITH THIS HOTEL, AS WELL AS EVERYONE ELSE I BOOKED ROOMS FOR. IT WAS REASONABLY PRICED AND I REALLY GOT MY MONEY WORTH. This motel looks great from outside but was a little dated inside, not bad for the money. Nice indoor pool area for children. Just off I-81 so convienent for us as we traveled to NY.

We enjoyed our stay. The Hotel was close enough to the freeway for convenience but not able to hear the traffic. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. The TV did not have good reception on all channels (only seemed to work on the sports & news stations).

We have stayed there for 10 years now and they always do a great job. No problems what so ever.

For the money the hotel is a value. It needs some TLC and sprucing up.

Not at all satisfied with our stay. I had booked and paid for a king size bed and upon arrival was told they didn't have any king size available, and that they didn't have a room in the main hotel and that our room was in a separate building around back. Once in our room it had looked like someone had laid on the bed and not made it up again. The hotel is in a great location and far enough from the highway that one does not hear the traffic. My major complaint is that the facility is a little run down. I stayed in the smoking building and it didn't smell like smoke, it smelled musty. The carpeting was tired and the decor was tired. The hotel was in a great location for us. When we checked in, the desk clerk gave us a map and pointed to the general area we needed to go but neglected to tell us we had to go outside and circle around through the parking lot. After exiting the building by the pool, we wandered around the grounds for 15 minutes before we figured out the map. The room […] was nice but the ac/heating unit under the window looked like it hadn't been vacuumed since inception and the water in the tub never shut off all the way so the tub had rusty water marks. There was hair in the tub under the shower curtain and on the vanity top. The bed was firm and the lighting was very sparse. Even with all the lamps on, it was dark in the room. We would stay there again when we go to that destination but would check to see if some other hotel had openings first. The reason I said we would recommend it is that it is convenient to the Spring and Fall flea market we go to and it's almost impossible to find a room. Devamı

I have never ever wrote a review before, but i feel the need too...This hotel is disgusting...The rooms smell like mold and pee... The front desk girls were really nice, but overall DISGUSTING....
