This place is a fully self contained resort. Everything you could want or need is on the resort grounds. This place is beautiful and very relaxing. The staff and service are impeccable. Whether you want to relax for 1 night or a week this place is a great option. Don't forget to take advantage of the free driving range!

I believe this property is resting on a reputation that is no longer deserved. It is worn, tired, and the experience is way below what is expected of this category. I am making it a point to share this poor experience with others. NOISE PROBLEMS: There were several issues, the most important being that two nights in a row I was woken up at 4am with […] a loud alarm in the room next door. The first night, I was OK. I thought it would have been helpful to offer some compensation, but none was offered. Then…the same thing happens the second night!!! Really? Awakened for the 2nd night of 5 nights? Didn't they fix it the first night? Doesn't housekeeping get trained to reset the alarms anyway? Come on! It was unacceptable. I went down to the front desk at 4:30am…and was offered an upgrade. Like I really wanted to move the whole family of 4 that had settled in for that. Later, I was offered a certificate to come back. I didn't even want to be there anymore! The staff kept asking me what they could do to make me stay. We were already packing and almost out the door, ready to get the heck out of there. They kept providing unhelpful solutions, like an upgrade. When I finally told them what they could do, which they should have offered, the CSM said they couldn't do that. Then why ask? They actually bargained me down! The solution I offered when the issue arose was simple: comp me the two nights and give me the room next door to mine instead of upgrade, so I didn't have to move. Middle of the week, there was no one even there, the hotel was over half empty. Instead, that was bargained down to about half of one night and the room. They really should have comped the two nights (you know, the nights of peace and quiet I was supposed to have but instead slept for 5 hours at a presumably 5 star hotel). I'm not sure why the CSM was not allowed to fix it right there. In fact, it took another two hours just to get that half-baked bargained down solution. We stayed because we were jus Devamı

The hotel is in a great area, is very nice and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The only thing that bothered me was the in-room dining. For $30 for eggs, bacon and potatoes with toast, it shouldn't arrive ice cold. They also messed our order up forgetting coffee, so we waited as the food was cold regardless. Mary at Joe & Go was the most fabulous employee we met. She was super friendly, personnal, and we loved her customer service! Jeff at the Golf Pro Shop was great also, he was super helpful, great to play golf with and helped me fly the ball! Thanks Jeff!

A bit expensive for the spa and room but very comfy for a relaxing get-away...

I took my boyfriend away to celebrate his 30th birthday and Ojai Valley Inn and Spa exceeded all expectations. Although on the pricey side, it lives up to its "5 star resort" title. Service was superb. The Breakfast buffet at Oak Cafe was delicious. The Herb garden pool was a beautiful place to enjoy the sun and unwind. A great place for golf, tennis, hourly complimentary exercise classes. Dog friendly, too.

A delightful and uncrowded experience for a Chicago couple seeking relief from the gray Midwest in February. We enjoyed the warm and attentive service and staff attitudes as much as the charming and human-scaled architecture of the resort.

In theory this is a beautiful spot however our experience left our Christmas wish a little short changed. The tile in the shower is stained with black grout. The location of our room allowed us to hear every car go over the speed bump outside and the classic was our key to our room did not work one morning. After over an hour and 5 men working on it […] with a wire hanger, they had to remove the patio door to our room. Full on take it off the hinges. Christmas night we had a lovely dinner and by 11pm I was violently throwing up from food poisoning. I was contacted by email by someone from the hotel and they asked me to call them so they could discuss this...I did that 2 times without a return phone call. Finally I wrote an email and said don't bother. Maybe another visit with a different room would make for a better experience but for the price we were shocked that the hotel was not more forthcoming with something to make amends for these problems. The Ojai Valley Inn and Spa is a place to go to feel comfort on all levels. The food at Maravilla restaurant is outstanding (we have eaten there twice.) The service is great at this resort. In nice weather, it can't be beat!

Hotel was empty, off season, felt desolate which was kind of a downer for Christmas. Bumped me up which I so appreciated. Gardener took me to spa, signage almost non-existent, almost made me crazy with toddler in tow. Women's Tennis w/c ceiling was a broken watered mess, the arbors in gardens needed work. I've stayed in a few hotels in Ojai, they are all great, but Ojai Valley Inn and Spa is, to me, the best. Simply put, They truly put you first.

The Ojai Valley Resort and Inn is an exceptional place. The location is tranquil and calm and nested in a rustic community with a scattering of artist galleries and local eatries. The Resort itself has everything one would want/ned in a vacation getway. Ive already told coworkers family and friend about our short stay here. Everyone made us feel they were happy we were there and welcomed. We came by motorcycle and still were treated kind and professionally. I loved this place!

Stayed here for our second anniversary. The hotel staff was extremely gracious and accommodating, the room was comfortable and clean, and the grounds were beautiful. Great food too. We have stayed here before but was disappointed with the customer service. We went for our Honeymoon. Room service messed two of our orders up. A gift from a family member was never delivered and had to work to get it taken off a the credit card. Overall a nice time but expect much more for the price.

I just love this place. It's so peaceful and beautiful. Customer service is fantastic. It's a big splurgebut it's worth it. The only thing I could possibly complain about is the food quality, while it's beautifully presented, it seems very average in quality. I don't really mind since I go mostly for the healthy spa environment. I was really looking forward to a few days of R & R in Ojai with friends in late August. I booked two upgraded Queen with Fireplace rooms well in advance. Unfortunately, mine was not in a good location on-property. It was right on the service road above the herb garden pool, and had constant golf cart traffic all night long. There was not a lot of natural […] light and because it was on the first floor, I had to keep the sheers drawn 100% of the time. My friends' room, by contrast, on an upper floor, was sunny, bright and private. They only got that one after the front desk made two room errors. All in all, the property was really nice, but I was disappointed in the room location, especially since it was an upgrade. The moral of the story is: be very particular about the building/location you desire before accepting the room assignment. Devamı

This place was absolutely awesome. From our room (right over the first tee box), we had a spectacular view of the mountains. The accomodations and room service were the best we have ever had. We utilized the spa, golf course and dining facilities. We were there from Monday through Friday and it was so peaceful and quiet. I don't know how it is on the […] weekends though. Second visit to this resort hotel with forced extension of my stay due to hurricane Irene's havoc on East Coast preventing scheduled departure. My enduring impression is that every member of staff at this hotel seems to know what they are supposed to be doing and how to achieve it. The upper management are obviously getting the message through, from […] the car valet service upon arrival to the effortless willingness to help at reception to the pool attendants to the room staff - they all go about their work cheerfully, efficiently and with a sense of purpose. Same efficiency and quality of service whether on busy weekends or during more leisurely weekdays. I look forward to next visit. Devamı

While the property is lovely, it is riding on it's former 5 star rating. The service was not 5 star! the spa was disappointing. Every hour on the hour guests gather in a holding room and therapists come out and call your name, not very private or serene. Not how a 5 star spa should operate. The hotel is wonderful. Beautiful pools and grounds and spa and amenities. The only thing that is not 5 star is the food. At best, it is 3 star food at 5 star prices. Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere. At least until the hotel changes its' food staff.

We were very pleased with our 3 day stay. The surroundings were stunning. The staff was welcoming. Even though it was a high quality place, it felt very comfortable. Not stuffy at all.

Beautiful resort and spa, but the food was just okay.

Cobwebs in the room were unexpected. Pool was lovely but concierge was hard to find. Staff was friendly but I would have liked more suggestions for things to do with the kids.

I brought my sister and daughter (8 year old) for a girls' getaway in August. We stayed in the Vista room in the main building where the lobby is. It's a perfect location close to the main (family pool). The room was spacious and very comfortable. We did not hear any neighbors above/below us. We did a few of the fitness activities, had a wonderful spa treatment, and the apothecary custom blending. The deep tissue massage was pricey but worth it, especially if you can take advantage of the facilities all day (until 6:30PM). The overall service was phenomenal...I work in Customer Service and I really appreciated their ability to anticipate what you need before you have to ask for it! Everyone is friendly and courteous. They smile and nod. When I went to check in, I got the one member of the staff who was unfriendly, negative and definite. A bit pricey but the hotel was beauftiful! Our room was very spacious and our request to have a ground level room for our bikes was greatly appreciated. SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT! Room service food was EXCELLENT! The best tortilla soup ever! Compliments to the Chef! I was a bit disappointed that we could not get a spa appointment because there was not enough […] spa techs and everything was booked.I understood because it was short notice. Overall it was a good experience but because of the price, the location (there was no shops or variety of restaurants) we probably would not come again but go to Santa Barbara because there's lots more to do. The hotel is beautiful, the setting is beautiful, but the rates are outrageous. Charging $4 for a bottle of water in the room was a bit much for a place charging this much to stay. Parking was inconvenient, you had to have a golf cart take you to your room, and back to your car.

This place is awesome, perfect for a romantic moment. You can go outside for dinner...

We picked the perfect location to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. The service and accomodations were superb and the food was outstanding. We truly enjoyed the relaxing environment and our services at the beautiful spa .

My husband and I went up to the Ojai Valley Inn for one night for our first anniversary. It was so romantic and is just gorgeous. The hotel has that understated bohemian vibe and is charming and elegant. We loved our massage treatment and the quaint swimming pool areas, but the highlight was our dinner at the Miravilla restaurant. The weather was so perfect during our July stay that dining on the outdoor patio that overlooks the golf course was so enjoyable. The whole hotel is very small, but it was busy enough to make it really feel like you were a small party or something. Our whole dining experience was about 3 hours between drinks before, dinner, dessert, and a nightcap... and it was such a romantic evening that we really loved it. The downtown area of Ojai is great, but the hotel is so beautiful we loved spending most of our quick stay on the property. I can't wait to come back for a longer trip! Devamı

Beautiful, beautiful hotel and grounds. Friendly and helpful staff. Pool area is amazing with great pool food (tapas), but bar drinks were watery. Beautiful hotel with great food and wine list. Will definitely return!
