MANSION VIEW INN SPRINGFIELD - Springfield

This motel is very clean and well maintained. It is a great location to walk to all downtown attractions. I had a great stay!

I was skeptical of the hotel after reading the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and the quality of towels. The train wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. The train didn't run all night so it didn't distrub our sleep. We will visit the hotel again.

Hey, it's NOT fancy but priced right, clean with a stain or two on the carpet. Skimpy breakfast. Location great for local downtown attractions. I was commuting to the State Fair Grounds. It was about a 10 min drive with no traffic.

We got a very good rate when the legislature was not in session. The neighborhood is beautiful. It did not bother me but there is a train track nearby with regular traffic. If you are sensitive to noise, you might not like this.

I don't know why anyone would want to stay anywhere else in Springfield! It was clean, the information from the desk personnel was excellent. It's within walking distance of all the historical sites and the capital. The train whistles didn't bother me!

Close to the Lincoln museum and downtown. I was on a motorcycle trip and the hotel staff was very accomodating. I walked downtown for dinner one evening and I walked to the musum the next morning. Best hotel I stayed in the entire trip. I will definitely stay there again.

We really liked this place. The Mansion View is an old school "motor inn" with ourdoor corridors, but has been recently refurbished. The lobby is very attractive and welcoming and front desk staff was very friendly. New beds, bedding and furniture were clean and bright. The plumbing (the vanity sink, faucet handles in the tub, etc.) haven't been updated, […] but everything was very clean. Great water pressure in the shower. The price was really good for the location, near capitol buildings and Lincoln Presidential Musuem and Library. You could walk to many destinations from this location. It's downtown, but in a nice enough area that seemed safe. The train whistles, mentioned by previous guests, didn't go on all night long, and were quaint and kind of fun. If you go to bed really early and are a light sleeper it might be a problem for you, but it didn't bother us. We had no problem with the wireless signal and were able to get on the Internet easily. We were there on a Saturday morning and went to the Farmers Market, just a few blocks away. We really enjoyed that, and if you're a walker, you could even walk over there from the motel. We didn't have breakfast at the Mansion Inn, but found plenty to munch on (from fresh bread to omlettes made-to-order) at the Farmers Market. According to the front desk clerk there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance as well. (There isn't a restaurant on the property.) Devamı

Wonderful 2night stay. Would return any time.

The hotel was close to the fairgrounds which was great. The rooms are smaller than newer rooms are these days however we were there to get sleep and not lounge around. Room was quiet and dark and we got a good nights rest. Bathroom is older but as clean as it could get for the age.

They don't advertise the Metrolink train tracks that ride right along the motel property line. Trains go by many times throughout the night blaring their horn and waking up my baby. The staff were borderline rude. Breakfast was all cold (cereal, poptarts), and the room was less thank mediocre. The toilet was dirty under the toilet seat. There are no […] "do not disturb" signs, so we had a rude housekeeper walk in our room while we were sleeping. I will not stay there again. By the way, there is no mansion view! Devamı

Extremely satisfied with this hotel. Light continental breakfast offered. Within walking distance to the Lincoln house. As other reviews mentioned, this hotel is near an active railroad track so there are some train whistles that occur during the night (during my stay trains were at 10pm, 12:30 am, and then not again until 7am), but I didn't feel this […] was such a negative that it would prevent me from recommending the hotel. Very good value. I mean, what do you expect for a $xx room? Exceeded my expectations. Clean, well kept, convenient to center of town and Lincoln home.

We were very happy with the hotel. It is an older hotel, but clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We got the room at a GREAT rate too! We couldn't find the remote for the TV and another one was brought up to us immediately. It is soooo convenient to everything downtown! I thought the Mansion View Hotel was a good hotel for the rate. The room was quite large (king sized bed) and it was clean. The condition of the bathroom was acceptable, although I found I couldn't get the water in the sink as hot as I'd like it to be. I enjoyed the ammenities in the room of microwave and small refridgerator. Overall, I thought the […] hotel was nice and would stay there again. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Mansion View Inn. Although my stay was short...I thought the hospitality of the Inn and convenience to all the amenities downtown were great! The room was clean and not real fancy, but who stays in their room while on vacation or business trip anyway? In addition, their continental breakfast was just enough to get you […] started for the morning. Mansion Inn View is a great intimate stay with a cozy atmosphere for those who just want that home away from home feeling. Was within walking distance from all downtown sites. Room was clean and staff friendly. Bathroom only had shower - and believe in need of some maintenance, Shower water had an odor. The Hotel lobby has a view - our room overlooked a parking lot (and the back of it was near train tracks).

The room was very nice and clean. The hotel was a little dated but had been remodeled recently. It sits right next to the railroad tracks but since I have lived next to railroad tracks before I was able to tune out the trains. I was expecting more from the continental breakfast. I would like to have seen some fresh fruit, loaves of bread and even some […] yogurt rather than the one bagel, instant oatmeal and packaged danish. Devamı

We were worried about the train tracks nearby because early, after we arrived, a train came by and tooted its whistle which was quite loud. We wondered if they did that all night long. But when we went to sleep, we slept soundly all night long- so either there was no train traffic late at night or they are restricted on how much noise they can make […] after hours (or we sleep a lot more soundly than we thought). Excellent location to where we had to go and what to see

Great price. Good location. Train noise is a bit of a problem. No pool.

As I stated before, other than the air problem, everything else was great. The desk man referred us to two great restraunts.
