Tampa East Plaza Hotel, Sabal Park - Tampa

For a hotel with such a nice presence aned price, I would have liked a free continental beakfast. I'm not willing to pay $11 for it. Besides thatm, the room was clean, was never bothered by the staff, and I was able to enjoy my privacy without being disturbed.

Over all satisfied, but, I asked for a wake up call, as a back up to my cell phone. I never received a call. Also, the tub could not be shut off, and I could hear the water dripping from the bed. I went to the bar to get something to eat. It was afternoon, and the restaurant was closed. I wanted chocolate, and was shown a menu with about 7 or 8 desserts, […] and about 3 of them were chocolate. The first one I picked they were out of. The second I picked, they were out of. The hotel is undergoing a 10 million dollar renovation. The hotel is old and in need of a facelift but I would definately go back again and again.

Manager on duty was not friendly or helpful. The food was completely unedible. Its not near anything. Seems like a hotel that was once happening and now just sucks.

Was not pleased with room or service. The tubs water ran at a steady pace all day, all night. Not only was it a waste but the sound was very annoying. We stayed 3 days and 2 nights. The cleaning service never came to our room. Garbage was not dumped, towels were not replaces, bed was not made...etc. When we arrived our key cards did not work so we […] asked a service lady to open our door, With batting an eyelash or asking for proof it was our room she opened the door. Our room was on the forth floor at the far end so it was quite a walk to the elevator to get key cards that work. There were cigarette butts on the patio (and the one next to us) that had evidently been thrown down from a patio above several days before. The butts had been wet and dried and stained the floor. There was a big crack in one of our patio chairs that pinched you when you sat in it. There was a good size stain on the foot stool in the room. I could go on but you get the picture. Devamı

When I checked in, the person who checked me into wasn't the most friendly. She also chose a room for me that didn't have a balcony but had stairs that lead right up to my room from the ground. The stairs gained access to the 1 story roof - and I didn't feel very safe - knowing that my window was accessable to ground traffic. And seeing that I was a […] single female staying there for 5 nights - I would have hoped to move - but they couldn't move me either. There was also a buzzing from the roof that went on and off all night. The people that were next to me were extremely loud and one morning (5am) had the TV on so loud, I thought I left mine on!!! I could hear everyone's conversations outside - including some activity that I didn't want to hear! Drive the extra distance and stay on the West side!!! Plus the neighboorhood 5 blocks away is much to be desired! Pray your car doesn't break down!!!! Devamı

This hotel needed renovating. Rooms/bathroom could be cleaner. Bedding is great.

Rooms always TOO COLD.

The hotel was beautiful, the television needs to be upgraded though. Staff was friendly and courteous. The rooms were spacious and clean. Overall, It was a very nice hotel.

This place is a confrence center. Probably cool if you're staying with a bunch of the same people, under the same roof. I was just a little dissapointed at the condition of the hotel room. There were plenty of maintenence things that could have been taken care of the spruce up the place (at least in the hotel room itself). TV was very old and small. […] Wifi needed to be re-logged-on every morning. Bathroom was very outdated (as far as hotels are concerned). Pool was heated. . .that was a plus. The hot-tub didn't work when we first went to use it, but the next day it seemed to work fine. There were a LOT of bugs outside near the pool. I did have the pleasure of visiting a friend at the confort suites right across from the state fairgrounds. . .much better rooms. Free breakfast, flat screen tv, huge bathrooms. . .very sleek. I would have much rather stayed there. Overall, I guess I was just left wanting more from the Crowne Plaza East. I had higher expectations, and was just left underwhelmed. I should mention that we made a last minute reservation here because the Hojo in Ybor City (where we booked first) was a nightmare. They gave us our money back with no questions asked. . . Devamı

This hotel was not in a good area..I would not have felt safe walking around in the surrounding area. Nothing at all open in the evening. The hotel staff wasnt very friendly. It took me 25 minutes to check in and it was 1:00 in the morning with no one at the front desk. All vending machines weren't working..Don't stay in this hotel..TERRIBLE!!

Great experience at a nice hotel. I found the service excellent and the food great. While the hotel is older, the room was quite comfortable. I definitely enjoyed my stay and would do it again.

Was showing my dog at the fair, need a pet friendly hotel. Was quoted lower pet fee than they charge, was given lower price. Food and Drinks a little on the high side. Heated Pool and Spa where dirty, would not use. King size bed was comfy need large, better pillows, Loved the Balcony.

We booked this hotel as we were attending a concert at the ampitheatre. We were very satisfied with the location right off the interstate. The staff allowed for early check in without penalty or additional charge, we were provided a complimentary shuttle to the event as well as ride back afterwards to avoid the traffic and parking fee. I stayed in this hotel the night of a concert I went to. The staff was very helpful, there was a free shuttle to the amphitheatre, the room was nice to come back to at the end of the night, and there was an awesome balcony to hang out on when I returned. hard rock is the reason why I stay here- they even have a shuttle that runs til 1030pm taxi ride is cheap if you are there later. i only stay here when going to hard rock, hands down nice place.

Nice hotel, been there before, no problems. No elevator Sunday morning when I was leaving, but there wasn't any notice alerting guest that the elevators were out of order.

The location is good - right off I-75. The lobby is kind of pretty, but the rooms are somewhat outdated, but clean. Our a/c was not working properly, just never felt cold like most hotel rooms. The front desk immediately asked maintenance to check it out, which they did, but it was no different when we returned in the evening. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. I got there by requesting a place between Tampa and St. Pete. This is neither Tampa (even if it says so) or near St. Pete. It costed me 200 USD round trip to get to St. Pete and back to the hotel. There is a shuttle service (for 5 miles radius) that nobody informs you about. The restaurant is closed in the weekend, […] so you have to order room service. I got sick from the fish I ate. The food came with no water and the ice-cream without a spoon. The hotel was empty but both dinner and breakfast room services we used took for ever. One of the mornings I got a wrong order and the room service guy refused to take it back in a very unpolite manner. They suppose to offer multilingual services. I speak English, German, French, Russian and Bulgarian and I still wasn't able to explain to the made to come back to serve the room in the afternoon and to clean ash and the cigarette butts from the balcony of my none-smoking room. I've traveled quiet a bit and stayed at many hotels - I can comfortably say that the service was outstanding. The hotel is a bit dated - my guess is that it was built in the 70's/80's. It has been well maintained and clean inside and out. The food at the hotel was surprisingly good. A bit overpriced perhaps. They did offer a 10% discount in exchange […] for completing a short one page survey took me all of two minutes and for the amount I spent in the hotel, it was well worth it. We've stayed at the Crowne Plaza Tampa East a few times and it has always been an excellent experience. The hotel is very clean and elegant and it's an excellent value. The exercise room is one of the cleanest and best equipped I've seen. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was excellent. The staff was very helpful.

We had secured reservations and paid in advance. When we arrived for a late check in at 12:30 a.m., we were informed there were no double bed rooms left. We needed, and requested, double beds. We were told that hotel.com guarantees a room, not specific arrangements. Buyer beware! The night clerk must have been having a bad day. No smile, no warmth, […] just seemed tired and annoyed. When we got to our room, there was such a strong cleaning solvent odor it immediately assaulted you when you opened the door. The hotel did promptly respond and changed our room, complete with a lumpy roll away bed. I am sure this experience cannot be the norm. However, our experience was not good, we would not recommend this hotel! We could have paid half their rate and received better service elsewhere. The name Crown Plaza did not insure satisfaction. Hotel was nice but a little dated curtains in the hall way and a lot of empty areas. I like to see a place hoping it just seemed like a ghost town. The game room was out of service I guess some previous customers had done damage but it looked like the room just needed to be cleaned. It was another empty room. But we were happy with the room bed was […] a little hard and small. I think queen beds should be the new mandatory. We had a nice view of the pool and the roof top which was ugly at best but I guess what can you do with a roof. Very disappointing as our room, or more likely the ventation system was invested with mosquitos like flies. I did not notice them until I was working at the desk,, as they were attracted to the desk lamp light. I kill one, then second, thinking that was it. But 15-20 minutes later, another;I killed at least 6 before calling it a night. At check out […] 9am, the clerk (in a suit) was overworked, I and 2 others, a couple and man checking out, waited ~12-15 minutes why he worked with another lady with some issue. Another clerk (in a suit) came to the counter but instead of helping out, looked something up ad then left (??). When I got to check out the clerk said sorry of the wait however weh I mentioned the investation to the clerk he just looked puzzled and did not reply. Very disappointing for such a well known chain. Overall the hotel was average. My husband and I came here for one night to see a concert at the stadium. There was a shuttle/taxi to the stadium, but was over an hour wait, so not convenient. I would recommend (even though hotels.com tells you that you don't have to) calling the hotel beforehand to confirm the reservation. This a nice place. I slept GREAT. That's the only reason I came back. Lots of accomodations, things to do, though the restaurant was a little expensive and I didn't receive clear details on free breakfast, I'd say that this hotel deserves its three-and-a-half stars.

Very tired hotel. Needs some new blood. Service bad.

Hotel is close to Hard Rock

This could have been my worst hotel experience ever. When I opened the door to the room it smelled like dirty laundry and mildew. When I turned on the water faucet brown and black tinted water came out at first and the same happened with the shower. The remote to the TV stopped working shortly after I began using it. Although they did bring me a new […] remote it simply added to the list of issues. On Friday evening I needed to print out my boarding passes for the next day but the host at the front desk said they did not have internet. Really? Every room in the hotel had internet. I had a connection in my room but not a printer so I asked if she could receive and print an emailed. She said yes…….How do you get an email without an interned connection….? I seriously considered changing hotels but did not have time to deal with it. Needless to say I would never return here in the future! Devamı

The service was very nice as well as the hotel. We stay there thinking that since Busch Garden and the wate park are within a reasonable driving distance it would not bother us. We had never been to Tampa at all, so we were VERY dissapointed about the overall "empoverished look"of the town. We drove east and west and the only thing that looked promising […] was the downtown. I don't know if we will ever entertain the idea of a visit to Tampa (at least as a vacation spot). We've been in a few places in Fl, but I was very deceived with this town. Devamı

This being my second time staying here, I was not let down in what I remember from my first visit. Beautiful and spacious rooms with great service! Highly recomended to everyone!

We stayed because of the location and free shuttle to the fairgrounds as we were going to see a concert & didnt want the hassle of parking ect. We were very pleased with the service. The room was average it is a little older hotelbut definatly clean. For the price we payed it was worth it. Right off 75 and only 10 min from mall. Not much else in area […] very corporate. We stayed at this hotel because we were attending a concert at the Florida State Fair Grounds. It's close and a shuttle to and from the concert was a nice surprise. The hotel was nice, but could use some TLC. Small details like fresh paint really make a difference. We stayed at another Crown Plaza managed hotel on this trip and it was the same store […] there too. A little freshening up would bring these places up a whole letter grade, C to B or A. Devamı
