Hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of most of Amsterdam. Room was small but clean, and the bed was comfortable. We were beside the house keeping station which was a bit noisy in the morning. Also our double bed was just two single beds put together which was annoying. Really in the center of it all.

We arrived to find 2 single beds when we booked a double. They changed our room with no hesitations but to fund they had charged us again for the new room which meant we had no spends in the bank on the sat night ... They did give us the cash back straight away but hassle of phoning uk to find out where money went, back and forth to hotel was a pain..... […] Be aware of this when checkin in as the girl who made the mistake didnt know what she was doing ... We spent 3 days here before taking off for our next destination. This was convenient to most of the things we wanted to see (and were able to get around on foot to all of them). The drawback to this hotel was the price compared to to others in the area. We spent 1 day in another hotel on the way back and it was twice as good for half the price. Very whell located, in the heart of Amsterdam. Don't believe in the number of stars... small rooms with nothing but the strictly necessary. Parking fees are very high if you're ravelling by car, but not mentionned anywhere. Summary: quite expensive for what it provides, next time I should try other options.

Nice location relatively close to all the attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was always clean upon our return. Very secure, key card needed to enter hotel, use lift and enter room. Furthermore, a safe comes free with the room. Overall, everything was how it should be. Nice hotel, relatively quiet, good location. I would recommend […] it to anyone. The only comment i could make against it was the view from our window. We could not see any of the surrounding architecture, only windows from other rooms in the hotel. Devamı

The hotel has probably seen better times but it is conveniently located and it was a good price. Checking in took forever and even though I signed for the express check-out I still had to wait at the reception before leaving...

I'm a frequent traveller and I was very disappointed with the standard of the room that was on offer from NH Hotels. It was my first stay with this chain of hotels. First of all the room was very dark, the decor was very old and the room shape itself was unusual. Whilst I booked a double bedroom and therefore expected a double bed - the room had two […] single beds which were simply pushed together. The toilet made noise when flushed and the shower facilties were basic.Given that the hotel was not that cheap, the facilities on offer were very basis in my view. Devamı

This hotel is convenient to sights, but has very small, and rather dingy, rooms--not a good value even for Amsterdam's generally cramped hotels. The breakfast, however, was very good for a buffet, and our interior room was quiet. For the price, I would book another place.

The hotel is centrally located. The hotel facilities were good. I would return and recommend hotel to others as well.

The price could have been slightly cheaper but i still think i got value for money. the cleanliness of the room and comfort were perfect and the services available were in accordance with the best hotels.

Stayed here a few times now and have stayed at other nice hotels in Amsterdam dozens of times. Rooms are small but functional, wifi costs but is fast, location is great if your looking to stay in the Amsterdam city center area. Less than 15min nice walk to Anne Frank house, Red Light, casino, Dam square and most museums. Local pubs within 1 block of […] hotel are great too. Very knowledgeable & helpful multilingual staff. Comfortable, clean well apportioned rooms a little on the small size but with all amenities. Great location convenient to attractions, shopping, restaurants, trams, buses, etc. Canal view rooms a plus. Would stay there again.

We stayed 5 nights at the hotel, and the location couldn't be better. On the edge of the old city, close to everything, yet quiet and comfortable. Overall a great value.

excellent location, very close to Dam square and all the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam, yet quiet location making sleeping easier. Plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance. WHATCH OUT for the bikes and trams!!

The location of the hotel is good as we there are many nice restaurants and bars near by. It is approx 1.3km from the central station so it is a little bit of a walk from the red light district. Negatives of the hotel was the staff as I found them to be very rude and unreasonable. Also the internet can only be used in the hotel lobby.

The photographs displayed online and the whole booking procedure are extremely misleading. We booked a room for 3 people at a quite high price. They gave us a room which was intended to be for two beds and they just added a 3rd bed (not even a real bed, it was a camping bed). On top of this when booking online you have the option of selecting a smoking […] room! Do not be fooled!! Out of 207 rooms they only have 5 smoking rooms but they still provide you with the option when booking online so that they can trick people into booking with them. I mean come on.. not many people go to Amsterdam and don't want a smoking room. In addition the staff were rude and the service was really slow. Also, they tend to come knocking on the door at 8 in the morning to clean the room?!?!?! We didn't let them in cause we were sleeping (we were on vacation, I don't even wake up at 8 when I go to work). They didn't come to clean the room afterwards during the day (I wish I knew why..) and our room wasn't cleaned for 3 days. Devamı

The location of the NH City Centre Hotel is ideal for sightseeing and getting around. It is about 5 mins walk from Dam Square, the shopping area off Dam Square and the flower market. There are lots of restaurants with different cuisines on the same street so getting dinner at night time was no problem. For breakfast each morning we opted to walk down […] to cafes beside the flower market. Our bedroom was on the small side but perfectly adequate and the satellite TV was good to have. The hotel is very convenient to several tram routes and it was very easy to plan our sightseeing trips using the trams. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. Devamı

10 min walk to dam, the hotel is mediocre. Nothing spectacular. Staff is okay. free wifi in lobby only at 30 minute increments. walls are paper thin. The street can get roudy at night so hard to sleep. rooms are extremely small

The staff was helpful and friendly, the hotel was clean and neat, rooms modern & comfortable

This hotel is situated just off Dam Square which removes it from the more "tacky" side of Amsterdam. There are some lovely old fashion pubs and restaurants directly opposite this hotel. The only negative comment I would add is about our room. We were on the 4th floor at the front of the building, which ment that our room windows were high up and unless […] you stood on a chair or bed you were unable to see out of the windows, which was a shame. The hotel was very clean, appeared to be well managed, the rooms were on the small side...but so are most Amsterdam hotel rooms, especially in the price range of this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and tried very hard to make sure things were okay or to answer your questions etc. would stay there again.

Location is amazing, and the beds very comfortable. Staff were accomodating but couldve been nicer. The hotel was all we expected and hoped ; Clean and modern, good rooms and excellent bathrooms. We were on the fifth floor and had very little noise from road, but it's a reasonably quiet location close to Flower Market with a good selection of local restaurants and cafes and close to all the action.

I was sometimes in Amsterdam with all time an other hotel but this one was very impressive by its quality and location, I would recommend it to everyone and the best is the underground parking where your car can be safe and the rooms are not the biggest but the space is managed for the best confort. This hotel has an excellent location, close to museums, restaurants, canals, and a 2-minute walk to the tram. The rooms are a bit small, but they have used the space very efficiently and they are actually quite comfortable. The breakfast is very nice and the service is excellent. Hotel Was situated in a good location not far from the main shopping strip and was walking distance to local Cafes and Bars. Hotels and rooms were very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Sent us to a tiny no view room first and we went back down and pointed out we had upgraded to superior room. Thankfully brought Hotels.com ppw, they agreed, but still acted like they were doing us a favor giving us exactly what we paid for. Secure bldg - need room card to open hotel entry and operate elevators at night. Clean room overlooking canal. […] 3rd floor views straight into trees - recommend higher for best city view or lower for best canal view. Bed alittle sway-backed, but clean and worked. Stores and pubs immediately to the south wonderful, better than parallel streets and open late. Street a little north not as nice. Corner rooms with canal view look ideal! Bring your Great City!!!!!! Close to all the main action of Amsterdam, could walk to anything from train station, to Van Gogh Museum in the opposite direction. Quiet even though we were on a main street. Room was a bit small, but bad for 2. Free 15 minutes of internet in Lobby daily. Nice pubs right down the street.

My wife, daughter, and me loved our visit and the hotel location was perfect for visiting all the sites. We changed rooms from the street view to the much quieter canal view after one night. It was worth the additional charge!

Had a lovely 2 night stay, close to all sights, overlooking a canal. It was our wedding anniversary and arrived back to our room to find chocolates and champagne. Thank you to NH city centre. Would recommend hotel to friends

This hotel is very convenient to the City Center. The train station is not too far, but may be inconvenient depending on how much luggage you have. The tram is available one street over from the hotel. The room was nice, small but typical for a European Hotel. The bed was a little hard.
